Monster Clarity HD Wireless In-Ear Earbuds review

Wireless headphones are clearly the future with popular phones like the iPhone 7 and Moto Z dropping the century-old 3.5mm analog jack. And while it’s a trend easily spotted in high-end handsets, even less popular phones like the HTC Bolthave gotten rid of the jack.

Although the analog headphone jack may never die completely, it’s clear wireless will be the future. This has lead to headphone manufacturers creating a slew of new wireless headphones.

Monster, most known for their not-exactly-affordable HDMI cables, has also released a line of wireless headphones like the Clarity HD Wireless which we’ll be taking a listen to today.

2017 Chevrolet BOLT EV first drive: The first electric car truly for the everyman

I’m not convinced with the new BOLT EV’s tail-lights, but in just about every other way this all-electric car is a knock-out. A no compromise, zero-emissions vehicle capable of delivering up to an EPA-rated 238 miles on a full charge, it’s fun and dynamic to drive, with plenty of interior space.

If you take nothing else away from this article, just know that for a family of four or five, you can’t go wrong purchasing or leasing the Bolt EV as the family’s daily hauler. In my opinion, for the first time in electrical vehicle history, this is the car for mass market. For the majority of buyers in this segment, the price is just right – especially after federal and state tax rebates.

Gone are the days of weirdly-shaped EVs and, more importantly, cars that are simply priced to high for the average consumer. That the Bolt EV starts at $29,995 is frankly spectacular, considering we’re talking about a car capable of delivering 238 miles from a 60kWh battery. This isn’t hair shirt motoring, either, with the electric motor producing 200 horsepower and 266 lb.-ft. of torque.

10 Key Features to Look for in Your Next Laptop

Up until around 2010, both consumers and businesses could be counted on to upgrade their laptops every three years on average, because technology changed so quickly that anything older than that felt like a dinosaur. Since then, however, that upgrade cycle has gotten longer and longer, and many users now have notebooks that are old enough to enter grade school.

x1 yoga stand mode

You can blame the economy or competing devices such as tablets, but in recent years, many consumers just haven’t noticed a big enough difference between their five-year-old laptop and the shiny new ones on the shelf at Best Buy. Who wants to spend $700 to get something that’s just a little bit faster than what they have now?

However, in 2017, if you replace a laptop that’s at least three years old, you will see huge benefits that go way beyond minor performance gains. From sharper, more colorful screens to longer battery life, USB Type-C / Thunderbolt 3 ports and 7th Gen CPUs, here are the key features you can get on a new notebook that your old system just can’t match.

Nikon PC Nikkor 19mm f/4 E ED Tilt Shift Lens Review

Pc Nikkor 19mm F4 Front Oblique View

Whenever we look up at a building, our eyes see nothing untoward at all, it all looks perfectly natural. However, whenever we use a camera to do the same thing and reproduce the result on a flat surface then we instantly notice the converging verticals. This is absolutely optically correct, and we accept it when we see train tracks receding into the distance, but not when we see skyscrapers receding into the sky. To satisfy whatever causes this contradiction in our brains the tilt-shift lens was created. At one time the purview of the large format photographer, smaller format DSLRs are also well catered for, albeit it in a more limited way. Let’s have a close look at Nikon’s new 19mm tilt-shift lens and see how it handles on the Nikon D810 provided for this review.

Handling and Features

The PC Nikkor 19mm f/4E ED lens is an impressive piece of kit, looking very much at home on the Nikon D810 body. It is a serious business from the start as we peel off the various warning notices about the possibility of trapped fingers as there are so many ways to rotate parts of the lens. Duly warned, I am pleased to report that my fingers remain unscathed after using the lens for several days.

KEF Egg Review : The Only Speakers You’ll Ever Need (If You Can Afford It)

If you’re not an audiophile, speakers aren’t a priority purchase. Like us, you’ll probably settle for a cheap pair of wired speakers, or if you’re feeling extra fancy, wireless speakers. We probably won’t splurge on anything above 10K if we can help it – as long as it sounds good enough, won’t distort in higher volumes and can hold its own during a screaming session in Battlefield 1, we’re satisfied.

Which is why our time with the KEF Egg speakers have been so damn pleasurable. Sure, they’re quite expensive, priced at 25K, but we haven’t heard (or seen) anything like them before. We’ve already tested one other speaker from premium British brand KEF before which already gives us an idea of what to expect from these high-end desktop speakers.

2015 – 2017 Yamaha XT250 Review

It seems like when God said “Let there be light,”Yamaha was already making the 250. Okay, maybe not thatlong ago, but it has been since 1980 and I’ll bet a lot of folks reading this weren’t born yet. In 1982, Rambo rode one in First Blood. If it was mean enough to carry Sylvester Stallone, you know it was pretty awesome.

With a wide-ratio five-speed and an air-cooled 250 cc engine, the XT250 is a proper little dual-sport machine and with a little more attention to two-up riding than you might expect in an off-road -capable bike.

Design

Yamaha got a new paint booth in 2016 for the XT250 that carries over to 2017. You can now get it shot in Mineral Blue instead of the Team Yamaha Blue/White that it’s had since 2014. It has come in some combination of blue and white since 2012 so you have to go all the way back to 2011 to find a red in the mix.

Finlux 40FMD294B-P review

Sometimes you don’t need bells and whistles to get the job done well. This Finlux set, rather short on either of them, does just that, and all for just £250.

You will have to look past the somewhat unimpressive cover to see it though – it’s not the prettiest of sets, with a chunky black bezel to match its inelegant plastic stand.

It’s light too – almost worryingly so – and its inputs are relatively limited, with only two HDMIs to choose from. Enough for humble set-ups perhaps, but it will leave more ambitious systems wanting.

Still, the beauty in this budget set is its picture performance. With enough tweaking and a healthy dose of well-measured expectations, you can get a pretty decent picture indeed.

2017 BMW M140i v Ford Focus RS comparison

We’ll admit a comparison test between the BMW M140i and Ford Focus RS doesn’t seem particularly logical on the surface, but there’s a method to the madness.

2017 BMW M140i v Ford Focus RS comparison

Each demonstrates a different methodology for doing the same thing — turning a garden variety small hatchback into a bona fide road weapon.

The BMW M140i is the last of a dying breed, an anachronism wrapped in muscular sheetmetal, garnished with a propellor badge. Rear-wheel drive, manual, powered by a crisp inline-six. Is this really 2017?

In the blue corner and staring menacingly in the Bavarian’s direction is the (also German-made) Ford Focus RS, an all-wheel-drive turbocharged four-banger with a ‘personality’ reminiscent of a rally car, as much as a road machine.

Nokia 6 Vs Infinix Zero 4 – Camera Comparison

The Infinix Zero 4 is one of the much hyped photography centric phone due to its use of Sony’s 16 MP IMX298 main camera. It’s the same camera sensor found with higher-end popular photography smartphones like the ZenFone 3 and OnePlus 3.

Asus ROG Strix GL553VD Review

You don’t have to drop $2,000 on a laptop to play games, but you definitely get what you pay for. The $1,099 Asus ROG Strix GL553VD features Nvidia’s entry-level GTX 1050 GPU, which will let you play most games on medium settings. It’s also one of Asus’ first laptops with an RGB-backlit keyboard, which happens to be really comfortable. But its speakers are lackluster, and it has shorter-than-average battery life. It’s the least-expensive option we’ve reviewed with a Pascal-based GPU, but for the price, you’ll have to make some compromises.

Design

Who said that orange is the new black? The Strix gives you both colors, and it isn’t exactly a looker. Between its black-plastic chassis and bright-orange accents, Asus’ laptop looks like it’s ready for Halloween. The lid features two traffic-cone-orange stripes flanking the ROG logo, which is a bit extreme for my taste. When I lifted the lid, the 15.6-inch, 1080p display and the RGB-backlit keyboard were revealed. There are a few more orange accents throughout, including another ROG logo on the palm rest, a ring around the touchpad and the laptop’s rubber feet.

SuperD D1 Review

MyPhone, in partnership with SuperD, has brought a 3D-capable smartphone for the Filipino consumers. While MyPhone handsets are generally practical and cheap, this one is positioned to lead the path where the company is heading — multimedia. Here’s our review of the SuperD D1.

Design and Construction

The phone has a polycarbonate construction with 5.5-inch Full HD display that’s capable of showing 3D content which is the main selling point of the device. Above it are a couple of sensors, earpiece and two front-facing cameras, an 8MP shooter for taking selfies and a dedicated camera for eye tracking which enables the 3D magic. The phone relies on three unlit capacitive keys for UI navigation positioned below the display.

DeVant AVC400 65-inch Curved 4K TV Review : An Attainable 4K TV

If you’ve been lusting for a curved, 4K TV, your options are limited and expensive: Samsung’s top-tier models cost around 200K which is par for the course for LG as well. But don’t despair, as there’s a better, affordable option (if buying something that approaches 100K can be considered affordable) if you really want to bask in front of a curved, 4K panel in the evenings. DeVant’s top-of-the-line AVC400 model has a curved panel and 4K capability that’s far less than what its rivals are asking for. Question is, does it still deliver the goods?

Curved and stout

DeVant’s AVC400 curved TV has two sizes: 55 and 65-inches, with significant price gaps for both. Our review unit was the 65-inch variant, but really the spec sheet for both models are identical, so you’re not losing out on any features if you do decide to go with the less expensive 55-inch model.

2015 – 2017 Yamaha WR250R Review

Essentially a carry-over from 2008 when the WR250R added a street-legal stablemate to the Yamaha WR lineup, the 2017 model carries on carrying on dual-sport fun. It’s not really a street-legal version of the WR250F , though the model designation tends to make it seem so. “WR” indicates it’s a wide-ratio gear box, and beyond that, the sky’s the limit. The wide-ratio gives an acceptable balance of highway capability and off-road responsiveness, desirable in the dual-sport market.

Design

The WR250R is not a fast bike; it’s not supposed to be, but people love it. It’s lightweight and agile and the 250 cc engine is spunky enough, though you have to wind it up pretty tight to get to speed. As a commuter , you can jump up the interstate for a few exits, but know that there’s no roll-on left to you when cruising at those speeds. There’s a little vibration at interstate speeds, but not enough to jiggle the mirrors; they stay solid and steady.

HP Envy x360 m6 Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho HP Envy x360 m6

If you want a stylish yet affordable 15-inch 2-in-1, HP’s Envy x360 m6 could be up your alley. Starting at $629 ($899) as configured, this sleek convertible combines an attractive aluminum chassis with strong multitasking performance and accurate audio output, However, the Envy x360 is also packed with compromises, including a dim screen, shallow keyboard and old-fashioned mechanical hard drive.

Design

The sleek, silver aluminum Envy x360 m6 looks like a MacBook when viewed from the front, but the shiny metallic accents of its rear-mounted 360-degree hinges make it more than a copycat. Those hinges allow you to transition the device between display, laptop, tablet and tent modes, and it feels stable in each.

Focal Dôme Flax 5.1 Speaker System Review

As the home theater milieu increasingly divides into Atmos and non-Atmos camps, the satellite/subwoofer category seems destined to remain part of the old guard, usually sold in a set of five little speakers and a sub or two. Is it possible for a satellite speaker to retain its merciful compactness if it’s also to include an Atmos-enabled upfiring driver? I’d love to review such a product, but right now it’s a figment of my imagination and hopes. Focal, the prodigious French speaker manufacturer, does now offer a 5.1.2-channel Atmos-capable sat/sub system that takes a different approach (see below), but you’ll be happy to know that plain ol’ 5.1 is still alive and supported by this and other fine speaker makers. Even now it remains the bedrock configuration of surround sound.

dome_flax_black_feat-1200x630-c

Home Theater Diversity
Focal offers a wide variety of home theater–friendly loudspeakers, not to mention studio monitors, headphones, automotive audio, and custom installation products. The Utopia III, Sopra, Electra 1000 Be 2, Aria 900, and Chorus 700 lines include towers, monitors, and centers. The Sopra, Aria, and Chorus also include dedicated surrounds. The Electra has both a dedicated surround and a few in-walls. Meanwhile, the Easya is a wireless tower. Focal also offers subwoofers, of course.

Hands on: Sony Bravia A1E OLED review

After a brief experimentation with the technology almost ten years ago, Sony is bringing back OLED in a big way this year with the Sony Bravia A1E.

However, with the likes of LG and Panasonic having firmly established themselves as the ones to beat in the OLED space in the intervening years, Sony’s got its work cut out if it wants to play catch-up.

First shown off at CES 2017, the A1E has a couple of interesting tricks up its sleeve, not least an audio solution that literally turns its screen into a speaker as well as the company’s proven X1 Extreme Processor.

Sony’s team has highlighted three main aspects that separated the A1E from the competition: sound quality, its new X1 Extreme Processor that produces absolute black and the new ‘One Slate’ design.

Huawei Ascend 5W Review : Budget Phone Makes Too Many Compromises

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Huawei Ascend 5W

A budget phone may not match $650 flagships from Apple or Samsung, but those sub-$250 handsets have started to pack in a lot of features. Consider the Huawei Ascend 5W, a $179 phone available through discount carrier Republic Wireless. In addition to its supreme affordability, the Ascend 5W boasts some high-end features, such as a big 5.5-inch full-HD screen and a built-in fingerprint sensor. Unfortunately, it also has a number of rough spots, including the lack of a USB Type-C port, as well as choppy performance and a pair of cameras that make your pictures look a bit too dark.

Republic Wireless Service

The Ascend 5W is available through Republic Wireless. If you’re unfamiliar with that carrier, Republic is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that piggybacks off of the Sprint and T-Mobile cellular networks. But that’s only when you need a cellular signal. For the most part, Republic prioritizes Wi-Fi for calls and text whenever that’s available.

Audi A5 (2017) review: Sporty looks, refined drive

The Audi A5 was launched in 2007 and revised in 2009 to put doors into the back of the Coupé version for a more conventional five-door arrangement, the Sportback as Audi calls it. So solid was the A5 that the second-generation A5 has only just appeared, launching late 2016.

The Audi A5 has always been one of our favourite Audi models. Those Coupé looks and that sporty stance stand it aside from many of the saloons that dominate this car segment. Flanked by the Audi A4 and the Audi A6, the A5 also affords better looks than the Audi A7 in our opinion (the executive sports saloon nearing the top of Audi’s models).

There’s just something about the A5’s proportions that we’ve always liked, although we have to admit, the charms of the Coupé looks are outweighed by the conventional practicality of the Sportback.

Nvidia Shield TV (2017) review: The daddy of 4K HDR media streaming

When the original Nvidia Shield TV came out in 2015 it was far and away the most powerful, most capable media streamer out there. Powered by Android TV and being 4K ready, it obliterated the competition with Ultra HD video support and offered a tasty sideline in enhanced gaming to boot.

It was pricy though – already more expensive than its peers and the remote control had to be bought as a £50/$75 optional extra. That made it very much a premium purchase and one that was never going to make much of a dent in the sales figures of Roku or Amazon’s Firedepartment.

Now a new version of the box is available and Nvidia is confident enough to keep it around the same price: £190/$285. This time, however, you get a game controller with a mic for Google Assistant voice control (pending a software update), plus an improved version of the wireless remote included the box.

Sol Republic Relays Sport review

The sporty-looking Sol Republic Relays Sports separate themselves from bog-standard cheap IEMs with an off-kilter design and some funky colours.

They sound surprisingly good for the price too, with a cleaner, if less smooth, sound than the budget favourite SoundMagic E10S.

Build

The challenges of a sport earphone include how to find a way to make them stay in your ears when you move about a lot, and to withstand a bit of sweat without conking out.

To deal with this, Sol Republic has come up with what it calls the FreeFlex wheel – a disc of rubber that sits around the end of the earpiece to help secure the Relays Sport in your ear canal.

In practice this wheel doesn’t do a great deal as it only really makes contact with the flap of cartilage just by your ear canal (known as the tragus).

2017 Infiniti Q50 3.0t Sport AWD Review

There’s more to Infiniti’s enthusiast’s cars than Red Sport, a fact that the 2017 Q50 3.0t Sport AWD would like to underline. It may not have the highest tuning, but with 300 horsepower underneath its well-styled flanks there’s plenty of reasons to bypass BMW’s showroom and opt for a something more out of the ordinary. That’s Infiniti‘s case on paper, anyway, but does the Q50S deliver on the road?

The Good

The Q50S isn’t the most handsome car in Infiniti’s line-up – I’d give that award to the Q60 coupe – but it’s definitely curvaceous. Even in a more discrete finish, like the Iridium Blue of this particular car, it’s a handsome beast. It also hides its size well, falling somewhere in-between the 3 Series and 5 Series that Infiniti so clearly wants to take on.

2017 Victory Cross Country / Cross Country Tour Review

Polaris Industries has its hands full these days with two companies — Victory & Indian — under its umbrella in direct competition with American heavyweight Harley-Davidson . Victory is starting to make a name for itself as the “American Performance” company with its progressive styling and large, powerful V-twin engines.

The 2017 Cross Country (CC) and Cross Country Tour (the Cross Country 8-Ball wasn’t carried forward to 2017) take a stab at grabbing the attention of U.S. buyers with the baggage capacity and wind protection we expect and looks similar to what we are accustomed to. Let’s face it, “baggers ” and “tour bikes ” look different here than anywhere else in the world, ’cause the “lower 48” is big with long, straight roads that span for miles and miles, unlike some European countries and island nations where one must do laps to get a long-distance ride in. Let’s look at what Victory is doing to compete in this long-legged market with the CC and CC Tour.

Anthem AVM 60 A/V Processor Review

For much of the home theater epoch, system builders who (for whatever reasons) have favored a separates-based system— built around an A/V preamplifier/processor and a suitable amplifier or amps—and have preferred such a system over the more usual A/V receiver approach have had, in essence, two choices. They could select one of a few very expensive, esoteric, high-end American or European designs, with the knowledge that they would probably lag a generation or two behind in HDMI version and latest-greatest surround and video processing. Or they could select a latest-model Japanese offering—recently, this has meant, effect-ively, Integra/Onkyo, Marantz, or Yamaha—and get more up-tothe-minute tech and more digestible pricing, at a certain cost in audiophile street-cred and (perhaps, depending on your belief system) sonic refinement.

Kia Rio (2017) review: All about connectivity

The new Kia Rio features support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a range of safety features from autonomous emergency breaking to lane departure warning systems, making it the most technologically advanced Rio yet.

The Korean company has not only given the new Rio a redesign, but it’s given it some extra brain power too. The question is, how does it perform and can this new little Rio win over the B-segment?

The Kia Rio is now in its fourth generation and it has seen some significant changes over its lifetime. The new model has a wider and more serious stance than its predecessor, offering sharper angles, straighter lines and, overall, a sportier appeal.

Eero Wi-Fi System review

I first checked out the Eero mesh Wi-Fi system at its launch. A set of three identical hardware units working in tandem to deliver Wi-Fi coverage over a residential property, the Eero brought much-needed streamlining to home Wi-Fi installation, but I was put off by its high cost, among other things. A year later, the Eero’s price remains the same — $499 for a set of three (roughly converted to AU$690 or £350), or $199 for a single unit (AU$140 or £70), but the field of competing devices has grown.

What’s changed with the Eero since its release is the fact that after numerous software updates, many of which derived from data Eero has gleaned from its customers’ real-world usage in the past year, the system is now slightly faster through a new approach to mesh networking Eero’s company calls TrueMesh. The Eero also now has Alexa integration and a much more polished mobile app. Between those updates and the expanded competitive field, it’s time to give the Eero another look.

View Quest Retro Mk II review

Technophiles have a range of tastes; some like the sleek and shine of a new smartphone, while others enjoy having a rotary phone hanging on the wall.

For those that seek the middle ground – modern functionality with a retro aesthetic – then the View Quest Retro Mk II radio will scratch that itch at an affordable price.

Build

The VQ comes in an array of 11 bold colours, but for an extra £30/$45 you can choose a range of styles including polka dot and lemon print.

That same £30/$45 can also buy you a spare battery, so you can keep the radio playing away from the confines of a power socket.

The face of the VQ Retro Mk II features a clear, wide display that shows information such as the radio station and song you’re listening to, but also the time and volume level.

5 SUVs You Can Still Actually Take Off-Road

SUVs might have taken over the sales charts, but over the past two decades they’ve evolved to the point where only a few models have stayed true to their go-anywhere off-road roots. Most sport-utility shoppers snap up these practical daily drivers for their generous cargo and passenger space, not to mention the added security of all-wheel drive, but there’s still a shortlist out there searching for a trail-ready champion that they can get muddy on more than just a gravel road. Check out these five SUVs that you can actually take off-road.

1. 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

Why We Like It: The Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been available with a host of trail-rated equipment, but the new 2017 Trailhawk model assembles it all in one place and throws in a bunch of luxury features (heated and cooled leather seats, heated steering wheel, Uconnect 8.4 infotainment system) to go with it. The end result is a comfortable commuter that doesn’t care whether you’re stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic or crawling through a field of boulders.
