Zeiss Milvus 18mm f/2.8 Distagon T* Lens Review

Zeiss Milvus 18mm F2,8 Front Oblique View

The Zeiss Milvus range claims to offer the very highest quality. Manual focus only, the Milvus lenses are available in ZF.2 fit for Nikon and ZE fit for Canon. The previously tested 15mm f/2.8 certainly ticked all the boxes and was highly recommended, so let’s find out how this new lens stacks up and whether or not it can achieve the same level of performance.

Handling and Features

Made in Japan, the manufacturing quality is not in doubt. The metal finish is beautifully engineered and all controls are as smooth as silk. The Milvus 18mm f/2.8 is a solid, beautiful object in its own right, weighing in at 675g (Nikon fit) and 721g (Canon fit). There is a 77mm filter thread, although with an ultra-wide lens it would seem prudent to only use filters if absolutely necessary and then to choose thin designs to avoid any vignetting.

ZTE Axon 7 Mini Review : Solid Phone with a Deal-Breaking Flaw

Kết quả hình ảnh cho ZTE Axon 7 Mini Review

There’s a smart idea behind ZTE’s Axon 7 Mini: Take the company’s Axon 7, which managed to pack premium specs into a sub-$400 phone, and dial down some of the features to knock even more off the price. The slightly smaller Axon 7 Mini may not give you the processing oomph you’d find in the Axon 7, but you do get a phone that will cost you $100 less. For many smartphone shoppers, that’s a trade worth making.

Should the Axon 7 Mini’s $299 price tag prove too tempting to pass up, you’ll wind up impressed by the phone’s stellar sound, solid display and good-enough camera, while you likely won’t really mind its slow performance unless you use processor-intensive apps. But you’ll also end up frustrated when the Mini runs out of battery life, which will happen far too early into your day.

Design: Top-of-the-line looks

Slapping a “Mini” tag on this phone is a bit of a misnomer. At 5.81 x 2.8 x 0.31 inches, the Axon 7 Mini isn’t really that much smaller than the 5.97 x 2.95 x 0.31-inch Axon 7. The 5.4-ounce Mini sheds a little bit of weight from its sibling (6.2 ounces), though not enough to notice.

Sony XBR-65Z9D LCD Ultra HDTV Review

At the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2016, Sony demonstrated a prototype of a future LCD TV design incorporating what the company called Backlight Master Drive. We found it dazzling, as did most of the show-goers with whom we spoke. Nevertheless, we all looked at it as a “show car”—something that might appear in a store near you in a couple of years, if ever.

Sony has cried wolf before: Do a Web search for “Crystal LED, CES 2012.” But while that remains a dream (at least for consumers), Backlight Master Drive is here today. (Just this past July, on soundandvision.com, we reported about its launch.) The technology is featured in Sony’s XBR Z9D series of LCD Ultra HDTVs, available in three sizes: 75-inch-diagonal at $10,000, 100-inch at $60,000 (yikes), and for the…ah…more budget conscious, the 65-incher at a more attainable $5,500—the subject of this report.

Lenovo Y27g RE Review : Monitor Costs Too Much for Too Little

When I tested the Lenovo Y27g RE with a variety of games, I was underwhelmed. When I read its price $650 I felt even more uneasy. The Y27g RE features a bright screen and a wide range of colors, but beyond that, its thoroughly unimpressive. Its colors are inaccurate; its menus are sluggish and unintuitive; its extra features add nothing useful.

Most importantly, in a world where you can get a rock-solid 4K monitor for less than $600, charging $50 more for a 1080p monitor makes for a tough sell. The curved screen and G-Sync support may be worth the price of admission for some people, but otherwise, there are cheaper monitors more worthy of your money.

Design

The 27-inch Y27g RE features a curved screen and a black plastic chassis with colored lighting on the back. (Why, exactly, a monitor needs colored lighting, or why youd put said lighting where you cantsee it, is just one of the devices many mysteries.) The monitor looks inoffensive enough, with just a few architectural flourishes.

2016 Benelli TnT 300 Review

Hmmm… the Benelli 300’s VIN plate says Made in China, but if it said Italy you could just as easily believe it: Check the nice welds on that red trellis frame, respect the braided steel lines leading to the dual front discs which are clamped by calipers that look like Brembos. Behold an instrument panel and switchgear that wouldn’t look at all out of place on any Japanese motorcycle. The stylish pointy footpegs look like something from an MV Agusta, and both shift and brake lever tips are eccentric-mounted adjustable. Eyeballing it, this is the nicest Chinese bike we’ve seen – by a long shot. Heck, it even has a cute little switchblade-style ignition key.

And why not? According to Mel Harris at SSR Motorsports (who was a VP at American Suzuki for 27.5 years), Benelli motorcycles and scooters are engineered and designed in Italy, then produced in China by QJ(Qianjiang Group), which has been the owner of Benelli since 2005. Benelli, if you believe Wikipedia, is Italy’s oldest motorcycle company, established in 1911. SSR is the U.S. importer, a 2002 startup that began with pit bikes and keeps branching out; SSR HQ is in Norwalk, California. (Correction: the TnT300 is the nicest Chinese bike we’ve seen since the Razzkull 125 we played with last week – also an SSR product.)

Infinix Note 3 Pro Hands-on Review – First Impressions

Infinix has just launched its latest line of Android smartphone for the Philippine market during Lazada’s 11.11 Online Revolution. The top among the three new devices is the Infinix Note 3 Pro and the successor of the Note 2 we reviewed back in May. We had a short encounter with it and here’s our quick impression.

infinix-note-3-pro

Being a Note-branded device, the handset has a large 6-inch display with a Full HD resolution. It’s an IPS LCD panel that’s vibrant and reasonably crisp at 367ppi. The display is bordered by thin black bezels giving the front a two-toned look. It’s got a 5MP front-facing camera up top with a dedicated LED flash.

The right-hand side has the volume rocker and the power/lock button. There’s a card slot for the microSD on the right and another for two micro-SIM cards on the left. You get dedicated slots for either card which is a plus for storage hungry users.

Infinix Hot S Hands-on Review – First Impressions

Aside from the Note 3 Pro, Infinix also introduced to us a similarly specced offering but packaged in a smaller body. Here’s our initial impression of the Infinix Hot S — a lower-midrange Android handset at just Php7k.

infinix-hot-s-01

The Hot S has a no-frill design with its candy-bar angular chassis. It’s got a 5.2-inch HD display resulting to a 282ppi pixel density. It may not break the 300ppi barrier but the smaller display size is a great option in the sea of large smartphones. Above the panel is a prominent 8-megapixel front-facing shooter and its earpiece along with hidden sensors. It uses three capacitive keys below for phone navigation and operation.

Infinix Hot 4 Hands-on Review – First Impressions

The last of the three new smartphones from Infinix is the cheapest among the bunch. This is the Infinix Hot 4 — a 5.5-inch Android handset with decent specifications and LTE at a sub-Php6k price tag. Here’s our quick initial impressions of the device.

infinix-hot-4-philippines-1

The phone’s display is an HD IPS panel giving it a typical 267ppi pixel density. It’s got wide viewing angles and over saturated colors even though it’s not an OLED panel. A 5MP front-facing camera is located on top of the display and a trio of capacitive buttons below.

The right-hand side has the volume rocker and the power/lock button that’s positioned a bit lower for easy reach. The left is left bare with no ports or buttons.

2017 Nissan Sentra NISMO First Drive: A modest performance proposal

It seems like only a month or so ago that I was behind the wheel of the new 2017 Nissan Sentra SR Turbo, the first forced-induction version of the Japanese brand’s volume-selling compact sedan. Flash-forward to the eve of the 2016 L.A. Auto Show, and here I am again, hand on the six-speed shifter of yet another turbocharged Sentra – this one bearing the NISMO badge.

Just how different is the 2017 Nissan Sentra NISMO from its SR Turbo sibling? It’s honestly a matter of perspective. Mechanically, the NISMO (an appellation that denotes the Sentra is near the pinnacle of Nissan’s performance ladder) is identical to the SR Turbo, with only a few tweaks made to the programming of its optional continuously-variable automatic transmission to set it apart. That means that it features the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo putting out 188 horses and 177 lb-ft of torque, with the enthusiast gearbox of choice being its standard six-speed manual.

SJCAM M20 Review – A Waterproof Sports Action Camera with stabilization

Camfere.com, the site that specializes in photography has a very special proposal for us this time. SJCAM M20 is the lightest camera of SJCAM. It’s not a true 4K action cam, but for a price about 90$ with our coupon, will work as a dash camera, a drone camera and for whatever else you may want!

070910

Design

The M20 is SJCAM’s lightest camera yet as we mentioned from the beginning. Even the previous model, M10, it was larger and about 10 grams heavier.

11

At only 54 grams and with dimensions of 5.4 x 4 x 3 cm, the M20 is ideal for mounting on your drone. Of course you can use it and elsewhere without any problem. The M20 comes in seven colors: black, white, silver, gold, yellow, red and blue, all of which are in the same price of course.

12

The M20 features at the back a 1.5″ LCD screen display for showing various info about the shot and to see where you are shooting at. At the side there is a USB 2.0 slot, a HDMI and a card reader which support Micro SD up to 32GB. The camera also comes with a waterproof case for underwater shooting, till the debt of 30m and you can enable the underwater mode which attempts to correct colors.

14

Features

Although the SJCAM is advertised as a 4K action cam, the M20 is not capable of recording true 4K video. For this is not guilty the 16MP Sony IMX206, but the Novatek NTK96660 chipset. The M20 can shoot at 2880×2160 pixels so it merely interpolates video.

02

The good thing is that at the official site, SJCAM doesn’t hide this fact. The thing is that in case you don’t want a 4K and you use 60fps, you will record at 1080p.There is also a 2K mode (2560×1440 pixels) which doesn’t trick you by repeating frames. You can also choose lower resolutions down to VGA. An other thing that this camera features and is very good and rare for this price, is the presence of a gyro stabilization.

03

SJCAM doesn’t really mention how exactly functions, but if you try to shoot at 1080p with 60fps, the final result is surprisingly smooth and stable. The camera also features Wi-Fi and through the special app that comes with for iOS and Android, you can change the settings of the camera, see the video feed, start and stop recordings and review and download clips. The camera except from the usual standard video and photo modes, there’s also Video Lapse (time-lapse video), Slow Rec (720p at 120fps or VGA at 240fps), Photo Lapse (photos taken every 3, 5, 10 or 20 seconds) and Burst Mode (3, 5 or 10 frames). If you want to use the camera in your car as a dash camera, there is a car modewhich enables automatic recording when the power is turned on. You have a choice of 3, 5 or 10 minute loop recording, too.

0405

Battery

06

The SJCAM M20 comes with a removable 900mAh Battery. The company mentions that the power of the battery is enough for the camera to function with the WiFi OFF for 75 minutes and 10 minutes less if you have it enabled. However, if you set the camera to shoot at 1080p 60fps, the company says you will be able to record for totally 30 minutes.

13

Conclusion

If you’re searching for a small, lightweight camera with stabilization choosing the SJCAM M20is a logical thing to do. And as we have said in the beginning, we have a special coupon for you, the M2016OFF, which will give you 16% OFF from the final price and is valid till the ends on December 31st. So hurry up to order it and have it as an early Christmas present!

Spoilt for choice : which Sony RX100 is right for you?

Introduction

Okay, some of our RX100’s have seen better days.

Now that we’ve pulled the wraps off of our Sony RX100 V review, we couldn’t help but reflect a bit. After all, the RX100 lineup is extensive, offering potential buyers five models that range from $450 all the way up to $1000. The lack of any price overlap allows them to sit fairly comfortably alongside each other, but for users not so well-versed in their spec differences (and since they all look nearly identical at first glance), we’ve put together this short primer to help you pick the RX100 that’s just the right fit.

2017 Honda Civic Hatchback First Drive

Launching a hatchback in a country traditionally skeptical about the 5-door might seem an unenviable challenge, but Honda sees the 2017 Civic Hatchback as an opportunity to reframe the body-style as more about sport than boring practicality. Third in the 10th generation Civic line-up to reach the US, the new Civic Hatchback targets a small but growing subsection of compact car buyers: Honda says they’re image-oriented, usually male, and relying on their daily-drivers to keep up with an active, outdoor lifestyle. That makes it the perfect place to launch the new Sport and Sport Touring trims in the Civic range.

The Hatchback shares its platform with the Civic Sedan but, externally, everything from the B-pillar back is new sheet metal. That means the wheelbase and track are the same, but rear overhang has been trimmed by 4.3-inches. It pushes the rear wheels further out to the corners of the car, improving its stance from the rear-three-quarter view.

Glyph Atom SSD review

Editors’ note: The Glyph Atom RAID SSD and the Atom SSD are very similar, so their reviews are similar.

glyph-atom-ssd-2737-002

If you own a 12-inch MacBook or one of the new MacBook Pros, the Atom solid-state drive from Glyph has everything you’d want in a portable drive.

First, it’s superfast. It uses USB 3.1 Gen 2 and its real-world read speeds averaged about 420MBps and 270MBps for writing and reading, respectively, making it one of the fastest non-RAID portable drives. (The Atom RAID SSD, which uses RAID-0, scored 675MBps and 460MBps, respectively.) Its hard aluminum casing and removable rubber protective case mean it’ll survive a 6-foot drop onto a carpet floor (something I actually tested) and still work fine. And it’s a USB-C drive that includes both a USB-C cable and a USB-C-to-USB-A cable. This means it will work with any computer with any USB port permutation.

Withings Health Mate : Essential guide – Tips and tricks for Withing’s lifestyle app

When we’re talking about how good a piece of fitness tech is, it’s easy to focus only on the hardware. But if you’re serious about using a wearable to reach a health or fitness goal then you also need to know whether the partnering app passes muster. In the Withings universe, that comes in the shape of Withings Health Mate, our Health and Fitness Platform of the Year.

Health Mate is Withings’ answer to the likes of Garmin Connect, Polar Flow or Jawbone UP’s companion app. Available for iOS, Android and as a web app, it’s essentially a lifestyle tracking platform that aggregates all the data from the growing number of smart products in the Withings range, some third party devices like the Apple Watch and a host of smartphone apps.

Withings Health Mate: Essential guide

Withings (now owned by Nokia) arguably offers the most comprehensive range of lifestyle monitoring products you can buy – albeit with a stronger focus on general everyday health rather than sports and performance. You can take data from any combination of its products – from the Activité smartwatches or the Aura sleep system, to the Withings Body Cardio and the Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor – plug these into Health Mate and start to paint a picture of your overall wellbeing.

Samsung CFG70 Review : A Curved Gaming Monitor Done Right

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Samsung CFG70 Review : A Curved Gaming Monitor Done Right

Samsung is practically synonymous with high-quality displays, but the company is only just now jumping into the realm of dedicated gaming monitors. It’s made a great first impression with the CFG70, a 24-inch 1080p curved monitor with an inventive design and lots of useful features for gamers.

Between the display’s uniquely flexible stand and highly intuitive navigation menus, adjusting the CFG70 is painlessly easy compared to the competition. And as one of the first gaming monitors to utilize quantum-dot technology, it makes games look rich and vibrant while still providing the fast response times that competitive players need. While you can get a quality 1080p monitor for much less than the CFG70’s $349 asking price, you just might find some of this display’s extras worth the cost.

2017 CHRYSLER PACIFICA HYBRID FIRST DRIVE

[su_slider source=”media: 43633,43634,43635,43637,43638,43639,43640,43641,43642″ height=”400″ title=”no”] [/su_slider]

When Chrysler re-invented the minivan back in 1984, they hit on a formula that answered the needs of families – an affordable vehicle that could haul a lot of people and even more stuff. Sure, minivans are never very exciting, but they get the job done for millions of families. That’s why American families bought more than 500,000 minivans last year, and about 40 percent of those sales were Chrysler products.

This year, Chrysler brought out the all-new Pacifica minivan in late spring, and the new ride received rave reviews. The new design incorporated a long list of important features and hit all the right notes with minivan shoppers. Chrysler has already moved more than 43,000 of the conventional Pacifica vans as of Halloween, helping to push FCA’s minivan market share above 50 percent this year.

Battle Of The 125cc Ankle Biters – Part 1

You can thank Honda for reigniting the mini bike craze with the release of the Honda Grom back in 2014. The little 125cc runabout is a refreshing throwback to the days you could grab your board, ride out to the ocean, hit the waves, then jet around town in search of the best carne asada burrito – while maybe sneaking into a skate park for a quick blast. In short, the Grom inspires fun rides at a slower pace.

Little-Bikes-Parking-Lot-Lead-1920

Now, with the success of the Grom, other manufacturers have kicked into action; Kawasaki was next to enter the little bike arms race with its Z125 Pro, and now we have two more entrants in the form of the Kymco K-Pipe 125 and SSR Motorsports Razkull 125. All three bikes follow the same basic theme of the Grom, with their small dimensions and low-tech, air-cooled single-cylinder engines providing minimal barriers to enter the sport of motorcycling.

Polaroid P49D600 review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Polaroid P49D600 review

It’s been a year since we last tested a Polaroid television. The previous model to pass through our testing rooms was the P55D600, a TV that offered 4K images on a low-cost set, much like this Polaroid Series 6.

At £500/$750, this Asda exclusive TV is some £200/$300 cheaper than its predecessor was back then, and it has entered the market at a seriously competitive level.

With so many manufacturers looking to be the go-to brand for low-cost 4K TV, Polaroid has no easy task making its mark.

Features

This Polaroid television has a familiar design, one that is almost identical to the Finlux 48UXE304B-P. There are also 43in and 65in options in the range.

Which Acer Laptop Is Right For You?

After careful consideration, you’ve decided that your next laptop will be an Acer. So now, all that’s left is choosing one. Are you looking for the detachable convenience that comes with a Switch, or the budget-friendly value of an Aspire?

To help you pick, we’ve listed all the Acer lines below, with standout models from each.

Behind the numbers

Acer laptops generally fall into a simple pattern when it comes to the model numbers placed after their names, as an Aspire R 15 is 15 inches, and the Predator 17 is 17 inches. The exception to this pattern comes with single- and triple-digit products, such as the Swift 7, a superthin 13-inch notebook and TravelMate P648, where numbers signify its class, with 7 meaning premium and 1 being entry-level.

MacBook Pro with Touch Bar Review Roundup : What You Need to Know

Apple’s new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is here, and it’s getting mixed reviews. The laptop, which starts at $1,799 for the 13-inch model and $2,399 for the 15-inch version, comes with several compelling features, including Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, a revamped design that makes it notably smaller than its predecessors, and support for Touch ID, Apple’s fingerprint scanner technology.

The reason Apple calls the MacBook Pro its biggest computing innovation in a long time is its support for its Touch Bar. The feature, which sits above the MacBook Pro’s keyboard, is a multitouch glass strip that lets you interact with software with customized function buttons. It’s essentially Apple’s answer to touchscreens found in Windows-based laptops, and is aimed at making the experience of using the company’s new MacBook Pro far more appealing.

Well, these two utes – the Mitsubishi Triton GLX+ and Volkswagen Amarok Core – could be for you.

While there are more expensive, better equipped versions of both vehicles available, this test aims to see what you get, what you miss out on, and which ute acts as a better workhorse, off-roader and family truck for about $40K.

Both have manual gearbox options that are cheaper to buy, but given that we’re trying to figure out if you can have your tradie cake and eat the family too… um, that didn’t work… we figured testing the auto versions of each of these utes was more sensible.

LG UH8500 series review

There’s a lot of ingredients that contribute to the picture quality you see on your TV at home, but the two most important are the quality of the source and the quality of the display.

High dynamic range (HDR) video, whether from streaming sources like Netflix and Amazon, or 4K Blu-ray discs, is the best source you can watch at home today. LG deserves credit for being the first TV maker to support both types of HDR content, Dolby Vision and HDR10, with its 2016 TVs. Today at least, that means TVs like the UH8500 can access more HDR TV shows and movies than other devices.

That leaves the display part of the equation, which is where the UH8500 comes up short. At CES I called out LG’s “Super UHD” marketing term, denoting its best non-OLED TVs, as openly derivative of rival Samsung’s SUHD brand. Now that I’ve had a chance to compare both TVs directly, side-by-side, it’s clear that the LG UH8500 is the less “super” of the two.

Logitech Wireless Mouse M510 review

logitech-m510-mouse-03

When was the last time you upgraded your mouse? If the answer falls sometime between “never” and “I don’t even remember where I got the one I’m using right now,” it’s time to step it up. And if you’re not ready to drop the equivalent of a Friday night bar tab on the Lexus of mice, the Logitech M510 is a reasonably priced option that has a lot of the same features for far less. The retail price is $39.99 (£34.90, AU$55), but the real-world price is at vendors like Amazon and elsewhere is literally half that.

I’ve used the Logitech M510 (mine is red but it comes in black and blue too) for the last three weeks and it’s already the first thing I look for when I pack my day bag, and here’s why: it works. By that, I mean I don’t have to worry about finding a mouse pad or a clean surface to work on because the laser can track on anything from carpet, wood and even clothes. The connection does hiccup on mirrored surfaces like glass and marble – that probably won’t matter to most people, but it’s worth noting Logitech’s pricier models include its “Darkfield” laser sensor that works on everything.

SOL REPUBLIC AMPS AIR REVIEW

Before Apple “courageously” removed the 3.5mm headphone jack from its latest iPhones, fully wireless earbuds were already becoming one of the fastest growing trends in audio. As a generation of youngsters grows up with fewer and fewer wires, the desire for high-quality, truly wireless earbuds is now stronger than ever. The tiny tech needed to create quality products is a top priority for many manufacturers.

Even in the fast-moving tech landscape of 2016, however, many fully wireless in-ears on the market still have their fair share of bugs to work out. Such is true with Sol Republic’s new Amps Air — the company’s first entry into this burgeoning segment. Despite good looks, solid connectivity, and a case that doubles as a portable phone charger, a lack of quality audio performance keeps the well-constructed Amps Air from reaching their full potential.
