QCY Q29 Wireless Earbuds Review: AirPods on a budget

Apple’s AirPods have made untethered Bluetooth earbuds mainstream, but the design itself — that is, two untethered wireless ear pieces — has been around for years. Go back far enough, and you’ll find early models like the Sennheiser MX W1, a pair of big, clunky but functional earbuds that provided stereo audio without a wire tethering them together. As technology improves and prices substantially drop (the MX W1 retailed for $600 new), we’ve seen earbuds of this sort with increased frequency, and joining them are the QCY Q29 pair.

Much like AirPods and Samsung Gear IconX, the QCY Q29 earbuds are both wireless, but not shackled to each other via a physical wire — they’re two independent earpieces that can be used together (stereo) or separately (mono), depending on your needs. The earbuds retail for between $73 and $100, depending on where you get them, making the QCY decidedly attractive from a budget-centric point of view.

How to Get Help in Windows 10

If you’re having trouble with Windows 10, you probably want to get answers as quickly as possible so you can get back to work. Fortunately, Microsoft builds a number of support services into its operating system and will even help you via phone or live chat. Here are five ways to get help in Windows 10.

w10help turn off pc

1. Hit the F1 Key

The F1 key is the original means of finding help, similar to dialing 411. Hitting F1 in an app often opens that program’s help menu, but for Windows 10 itself, the button only performs a Bing search in your default browser for “get help in Windows 10, ” which you could do yourself.

If clicking F1 doesn’t bring up such assistance, you may need to enable it by holding down the Start button while you press the key. Failing that, some systems require you to disable Function Lock, which is done by clicking the dedicated Fn Lock key.

Linn Klimax DS 3 review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Linn Klimax DS 3 review

Sometimes it doesn’t take long to realise a product is special. In this case, just a few minutes with Linn’s range-topping streamer is enough for us to come to that conclusion. Extended listening confirms it.

This level of competence should come as no surprise, as Linn is no stranger to music streaming. The original Klimax DS was launched way back in 2007, making it one of the earliest high-end units around.

Linn also has the advantage of being involved right through the music chain, from making original recordings to manufacturing source components, speakers and cables.

This gives the brand a perspective over music replay that’s impossible to get any other way.

The designers and brands we want to make Android Wear watches next

Some suggestions for Google and co

With Android Wear 2.0 about to drop and a sporty New Balance-Casio one two at CES, things are looking up for Google’s smartwatch platform.

For Tag, Fossil and Michael Kors it has allowed watchmaker and fashion brands to skip years of R&D and launch smartwatches with form factors that are true to their aesthetics and quality with bespoke watch faces and companion companion apps. Likewise sports and outdoors companies with existing watch ranges. Win win.

Our Android Wear partners wish list

We wrote in mid 2016 that you can categorise this new wave of Android Wear partners into sports and style. The first wave of Samsung, LG, Motorola and Sony didn’t work out too well in terms of sales. Still, the latest is that LG and ZTE will be the next to come out with fresh Wear watches.

Head-to-Head : Huawei GR5 2017 vs ASUS Zenfone 3 Max 5.5

Here we go again, folks! This time, we’re pitting Huawei’s dual-snapper toting GR5 2017 (also known as the Honor 6X in other markets) against ASUS’s bang-for-the-buck phone, the Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 (ZC553KL).

Mercedes-AMG Old v New Comparisons : 2015 SLK55 v 2017 SLC43

To upgrade, or not to upgrade? That is the question.

When a new model of the car you own is released, it’s only natural to look at what has changed to see if the update is worth the time, effort, and most importantly, cost.

Mercedes-AMG Old v New: 2015 SLK55 v 2017 SLC43

Major generational updates sometimes make the decision quite easy to rationalise, but when the changes are concentrated on just a couple of components, is the argument weighty enough?

Take the pint-sized Mercedes-Benz SLK roadster for example.

The diminutive sportster celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and for a long time was the most cost-effective way into a topless Benz.

EZVIZ Husky review : This weatherproof camera gives you an eye on the outside of your home

A great outdoor camera for monitoring front porches, driveways, and small yards.

husky

Ezviz recently released the second iteration of its indoor home security camera, the Ezviz Mini Plus. At the same time it issued its first outdoor model, the Ezviz Husky ($129).

The Husky is a bullet-style camera, though a slightly more attractive one than you might expect. Most of these types of cameras take their design cues from the CCTV cameras found outside commercial buildings, a look that can give your home the feeling of a high-security compound. The Husky’s smooth surfaces and more compact design make it seem less severe and undoubtedly easier to blend in to the exterior of your house.

Whoop Strap 2.0 review : A wearable that proves we should all be training like the pros

Whoop proves we should all be training and recovering like the pros, regardless of our fitness-based aspirations. The price tag will immediately rule out most people, but the invaluable and unique data it provides means it shouldn’t be dismissed at any cost.

The Whoop Strap 2.0 is a wearable that aims to encourage athletes of all disciplines to pay greater attention to the symbiotic relationship between the strain training/competing places on their bodies, and the sleep and rest necessary to recover from it.

Acer Predator 17 (G5-793) review – hefty but solid as always

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Acer Predator 17 (G5-793) review – hefty but solid as always

Throughout 2016, Acer released a large number of Predator 15 and Predator 17 machines all of them offering various screen options and more importantly – different GPUs. It’s quite normal considering the fact that mid-2016 the company released a desktop-grade GTX 980-powered notebook, which went obsolete in just a few months when the OEM released its GTX 1070 and 1080-powered Predator 17.

However, if all of the above are a little over your pay grade, Acer got you covered. This hefty beast here packs a GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5) and costs way lower than its more powerful siblings. Unfortunately, though, since the notebook was released just before Intel announced its Kaby Lake quad-core CPUs, the G5-793 missed that train. We can expect a refresh in the near future, probably. But in terms of real-life performance, the Core i7-6700HQ will do just fine. But what about the rest – display quality, cooling capabilities? If the more affordable Predator 17 inherits most of its perks from the GTX 1070-powered version that we reviewed, we expect excellence.

Huawei GR5 2017 Review : Dual-cam Mid-range Winner

Huawei’s intent on making 2017 the year of the dual-camera, as the company is set to launch two new dual-camera equipped smartphones in the coming weeks. While the Mate 9 phabletwill probably get the most oohs and aahs from onlookers, a majority of consumers who want to try out the dual-camera magic will most certainly gravitate towards the more affordable GR5 2017 – or Mate 9 Lite, or Honor 6X, depending where you are in the world.

This year’s GR5 is a big improvement over last year’s model, though it’s also Php 2,000 more expensive. Today we’ll be checking out what Huawei’s dual-camera arrangement brings to the table, and what it means for you. But first, let’s take a look at the specs:

2017 Triumph Street Triple Review

We live in a world where frequently less is perceived to be more, and nowhere is that truer than in the naked sportbike sector. Triumph started leaning toward the scantily-clad market with its Daytona 675 back in the first decade of the new millenium, and now has released a more refined, next-gen naked line with its new Street Triple family. Sleek and sheik, the three current members of Triumph’s wee nudist colony definitely brings sexy back along with a healthy dose of performance and electronic gadgetry to boot. Folks, this is a brand-spankin’-new trio of rides, and if you’re anything like me, you have a healthy respect for British engineering and can’t wait to dig into this new triple-play from across the pond, so let’s get to it.

Design

Triumph Street Triple

Much like everyone else, Trumpet’s naked line started out life as an established, fully-faired street machine, but stripped of its body panels for that minimalist, slightly Mad Max-ish look we have come to love so much.

Galaxy J7 Prime out now: 5 reasons you’ll want one

Supposing you’re a consumer looking for a new smartphone and you’ve not already purchased a Galaxy S7, the Galaxy J7 Prime might be right up your alley. Today we’re running down 5 reasons why a person might want this smartphone here in the first part of the year 2017. This device isn’t quite the most powerful smartphone in Samsung’s collection, but it’s no pack of small beans to cough at.

At first glance, one might mistake the Galaxy J7 Prime for the top brass in the game. It has many of its components in the same place, after all – power button on the side, power plug on the bottom, headphone jack, Samsung logo up front. It’s a fine looking device, that’s for certain.

NVIDIA SHIELD Controller Review (Gen 2, 2017)

In our first hands-on experience with the NVIDIA SHIELD TV, I made a strong suggestion that the Game Controller was the major upgrade of this generation in SHIELD hardware. As such, I’ve separated this review from our primary review of the NVIDIA SHIELD TV. The review here suggests that this new controller is largely worth purchasing on its own if the user already owns theGen1 NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV device, and will be a positive piece of the puzzle for those that purchase Gen2.

The NVIDIA SHIELD Controller, as the company calls it, is the most radically redesigned piece of hardware in the bunch. The first controller was reminiscent of an Xbox One controller – somewhat – while this controller is a bit closer to one for a PlayStation. This controller is comfortable to use at the same time as it is aesthetically pleasing.

2016 – 2017 Honda Fury / Stateline Review

More and more riders have come to appreciate the look associated with what I would call Classic Americana, and manufacturers around the world have responded in recent years to try to exploit this niche interest. This movement has actually been on and gaining momentum for a few years now, and we are starting to see some fairly bold designs from some of the big names. Honda had two such designs available for the 2016 model year. First was the Stateline , the sole surviving member of the 1300 Custom Line having outlived its siblings, the Interstate  and Sabre cruisers, though it met the same fate coming into 2017. The Fury joined the Stateline as a sort of brother-from-another-mother with lots of shared DNA, but with a few critical differences, and it represents a very bold design concept indeed.

Join me as I critique Honda’s attempt to recapture our glory days.

JBL Charge 2+ review

The JBL Charge 2+ was originally launched at £150/$225. And at even that price it’s knocking on the five-star door.

At £40/$60 less, we throw open the entrance and welcome a bone fide rival to our UE Roll 2 2016 Award-winner.

Features

A larger and heavier proposition than the UE – it weighs in at 600g; well over the UE’s 330g – the JBL also has some tricks up its passive bass radiator-equipped sleeve.

Most intriguing is the JBL’s ‘Social Mode’ option. Here you can connect up to three Bluetooth-equipped music devices, letting, for example, a group of friends listen to each other’s tunes.

Democracy in action, you say? A sort of democracy, we suggest. In Social Mode, to hear your tune you just hit Play – the JBL immediately stops what it was doing and plays your song.

MEE audio Pinnacle P1 review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho MEE audio Pinnacle P1 review

Right at the top of MEE Audio’s earphone range sit the Pinnacle P1s, doing their best to make the Sennheiser IE80s and Shure SE535s look cheap, with all-metal shells and enough accessories for two pairs.

An earphone of slow-burn appeal and subtle musicality, the £180/$270 just made picking a premium IEM that bit trickier.

Build and comfort

The Mee Pinnacle P1s have some of the same design traits as another important flagship, the Shure SE535s.

They have large earpieces and a curvy, slightly aggressive look, even though each only needs to fit in a single 10mm dynamic driver instead of three. We’ll give Mee the benefit of the doubt and assume there’s more going on inside.

Nissan Micra (2017) first drive: Same name, different personality

Nissan’s Micra has been around for decades. Since 1983 in fact, selling over 3.5million in Europe alone during its lifetime. It’s a car everyone has heard of, even if not for all the best reasons.

Despite its popularity, the Micra hasn’t ever been the most exciting car on the road, at least not for those below certain age. That’s about to change though, because 2017 Micra is completely different and it’s lovely.

Nissan has completely reinvented the Micra in the fifth generation. The new model might carry the same iconic name, but it isn’t the Micra as you know it. Instead, the company appears to have scrapped everything except the name to deliver a Micra with a much wider appeal. Sorry grandma, but the Nissan Micra is no longer all about you.

Dell Inspiron Gaming 15 7566 Review : Decent Gaming Notebook For The Money

Gaming notebooks aren’t cheap. On the contrary – they’re usually one of the more expensive notebooks that you can buy today. Turns out playing games on decent-ish framerates and graphical settings require stuffing a notebook with high-end components drive prices up considerably, sometimes to insane levels. But if you look hard enough there are decent options in the market today. Some will say even downright affordable, as far as pricing for gaming notebooks are concerned. Dell’s latest gaming notebook launched in the Philippines, the Inspiron Gaming 15, is one of those notebooks, walking the line between performance and affordability.

Subdued design is a breath of fresh air

Let’s be honest here: a majority of gaming notebooks have gaudy, loud designs, dotted with LED lights and obnoxious exhaust vents. The Dell’s offering is a breath of fresh air in that regard, sporting a matte black outer lid, and a rather subdued design without a single LED strip or light in sight.

Best Bluetooth headphones for running – UPDATE 2017

When it comes to buying the perfect pair of Bluetooth headphones for running, things just got a lot smarter. The latest models can check heart rate from the ear and monitor a host of other fitness metrics, making them powerful training tools.

The focus has very much been on wrist-based heart rate monitors, such as the Garmin Forerunner 35, Fitbit Charge 2, and, of course, Apple Watch Series 2.

However, our testing of the latest biometric headphones has shown them to be incredibly accurate. The thin skin in the ear makes readings easier to take, and we’ve found headphones can be more responsive to changes in heart rate than wrist-based counterparts.

It’s not all plain-sailing. You’ll pretty much need to use a phone to track your workout if you opt for headphones, which is great for music listening, but less comfortable if you need to strap a phablet to your arm. And obviously watches are much more adept at displaying your heart rate in real time, making them more useful, if less accurate, for training.

How to Get Pre-Release Software for Everything

The companies which develop operating systems and applications don’t stand still for a minute. Every day, teams at Microsoft, Google, Apple are working on major updates to Windows, Chrome, macOS, iOS and Android. At Mozilla, new iterations of Firefox are compiled nearly every single day. This fresh code often includes helpful new features, but publishers don’t rush new versions out the door because they’re afraid of shipping something out that could have bugs.

However, if you like to be among the first to try new tech, you can  join free beta test programs that get you new versions of your favorite programs before they are released into production. If you keep your important data files backed up and you’re willing to deal with the small risk of crashes and bugs, running pre-release software is a great way to stay  ahead of the curve and take advantage of new capabilities that other folks won’t get for months. For example, Chrome beta users got access to tab silencing and FLAC-file support long before everyone else.

2015 – 2017 Honda CBR300R Review

Since 2011, the CBR250R has served both as Honda’s small-displacement street-riding and racing trainer, and the model is actually used in amateur, closed-circuit races as a prelude to entering the larger brackets. Based on that success, Honda designed this, the next generation of little trainer bikes. I am, of course, referring to the new-from-2015 CBR 300R that comes with the then-new, 286 cc engine based on the previous 249 cc version.

While I am at a loss to explain it, I confess I have a certain affinity for beginner bikes, and “one-design” race categories that remove hardware advantages and force racers to win based on nothing but their own skills and bravery, which is arguably the purest form of competition. So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at the CBR300R, and see what the Red Riders have to look forward to in Honda’s continuing campaign to draw new riders into the sport and lifestyle we all love so much.

Dual-camera phones are the hottest thing in the mobile world right now, with players like LG, Apple and even ASUS releasing their own interpretations of the concept. Aerix Vidius HD Drone Review : First-Person Views on the Cheap

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Aerix Vidius HD Drone Review: First-Person Views on the Cheap

There is no shortage of drones that can stream video to your phone, but to really get that in-the-cockpit experience, you need the video to be high definition (HD) and to offer a first-person view (FPV) on a headset. That’s what the Vidus HD does; manufacturer Axis Drones claims that this is the smallest and cheapest HD-streaming drone out there, and that with the optional headset, it’s a full-FPV drone. Priced at $95 for the drone and $20 for the headset, the Vidius HD mostly meets those claims, but with a few caveats.

Design: Sleek and simple

The Vidius HD is a sleek, small, shiny, black drone, measuring less than 1 inch high and about 3 inches across (including the rotor blade protectors; the drone body is about 1.7 inches wide). The drone weighs less than an ounce, with much of that weight coming from the 200-mAh battery in the bottom of the body. This battery provides about 6 minutes of flight and can’t be removed. It can be charged from a USB port with the included cable.

2016 – 2017 Harley-Davidson Street Bob Review

Introduced in 2006, the Dyna Street Bob (FXDB) was the first “Dark Custom” designed for Harley-Davidson ’s Dyna family. The Street Bob originally came with an 88.5 cubic-inch (1,450 cc) engine and graduated to 96.7 cubes (1,584 cc) in 2007. After the release of the Twin Cam 103 in the 2012, Harley dropped it into the Street Bob starting in 2014.

In the modern bobber style, the 2017 Street Bob is minimal: solo seat, no windshield, cut-down fenders, mid-mount controls and retro-style air cleaner cover. Minimal doesn’t mean lack of comfort, though. The Street Bob is very comfortable — comfortable enough for all-day riding. With bags and a windshield, it would make a nice casual tourer— better than a Softail  would.

Minimal also doesn’t mean lack of quality. The Street Bob holds to the same standard of quality that Harley is known for and pledges that to you in a cast 3-D fuel tankmedallion, not some econo graphic sticker.
