2017 Genesis G90 review

Not every buyer with money need flaunt their wealth. Sure, a well-heeled individual might outfit themselves in the latest, hottest brands — and pay out the wazoo to do so. But for every person who does that, there’s another who’s comfortable rocking a white t-shirt and a comfortable pair of jeans.

2017-genesis-g90-1

The 2017 Genesis G90 is the car for those who fall into the latter category. The full-size luxury sedan segment is filled with stalwarts that command high prices — the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. And for many buyers, these are the only choices.

But the G90 makes an interesting proposition. It’s loaded with many features present on the regular players, but its starting price is leagues below the competition. This is the car for the t-shirt-and-jeans crowd, and they’re going to like what’s on offer.

V-Moda Forza Metallo Wireless review

v-moda-forza-metallo-04

Thhere are a lot of neckband-style headphones out there right now, but V-Moda’s Forza Metallo Wireless is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for top-notch sound and solid build quality coupled with a secure, comfortable fit in a workout-friendly Bluetoothheadphone.

At $170, it’s not cheap, but from a sonic standpoint, it’s superior to the BeatsX and most in-ear wireless headphones I’ve tested, including LG’s around-the-neck Tone headsets. (The headphones aren’t available in the UK and Australia yet but that price translates to about £130 or AU$230.)

As with the wired versions of this headphone, which we liked (you can read CNET contributor Steve Guttenberg’s assessment), it’s easy to get a secure fit using one of the four included ear tips and V-Moda’s well-designed, patent-pending sport fins keep that tip snugly in place, sealing out a lot of ambient noise.

Sennheiser Momentum 2 On-Ear Wireless review

The Sennheiser Momentum 2 On-Ear Wireless headphones are wireless Bluetooth headphones made using fancy materials and loaded with features that shouldn’t be confused with the full-size Momentum Wireless headphones. These ones have pads that sit on your ears rather than cups that fit around them, making them a more compact, and portable, pair.

Their good looks, decent sound and active noise cancellation would make them a great choice if it wasn’t for one thing: the price.

At around $399/£300/AU$238 they’re extremely expensive. Much cheaper headphones sound about as good, and when the active noise cancellation isn’t close to that offered by the Bose QuietComfort 35s in terms of sheer noise-zapping effectiveness, it’s hard to justify that price.

Hands on: IMO S2 review

The IMO S2 isn’t the smartphone that’s about to reshape the landscape of the mobile world, but what it does present is a low-cost offering which has a solid feature set – perfect for first-time users, kids and those wanting a cheap backup handset.

It offers a 5-inch HD display, quad-core chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 2,600mAh battery and Android 7 Nougat – a decent spec lineup for a low-cost mobile.

IMO S2 price and release date

The IMO S2 release date is slated for around September, but an exact date is yet to be confirmed. We do, however, know the IMO S2 price – it’s just £129.

Audio Pro Addon T20 review

Without so much as a glance at a recent Audio Pro speaker, you can be sure of two things: it’ll be wireless, and will look as if it’s been freshly made by a 3D printer.

In its early days in the 70s and 80s, the Scandinavian hi-fi brand produced passive speakers and systems, but every speaker in its repertoire today – all under the ‘Addon’ name – is wireless.

Audio Pro’s Award-winning Addon T3, and fellow T5 and T10 one-box speakers, and T8L and T14 powered standmounts ride the Scandinavian design movement characterised by simplicity and minimalism.

They look almost moulded, what with their matt finish and lack of, as the brand puts it, ‘unnecessary embellishments’.

Build

The T20s are the range’s powered towers and, unsurprisingly, share the same design DNA as their colleagues: slender and spartan, functional in the most positive way.

Skagen Connected 2017 review: A small upgrade in both looks and function

Skagen has made another beautiful hybrid in the Jorn, with some nice smart features peppered in too. Activity tracking and notifications are very limited, and step counting is a little inconsistent, but some of the other connected functions are more useful. This is for people who want a nice watch first, and a smartwatch second.

The Skagen Jorn and Hald Connected are slimmer, smarter takes on last year’s Skagen Hagen Connected, one of my favorite hybrid smartwatches of 2016. Now back for a second swing, Skagen, one of Fossil’s subsidiaries, hasn’t made a huge overhaul but rather a few tweaks that refine, but don’t dramatically change, the analogue smartwatch experiences.

Once again, the brains are concealed by a classic watch design – even more so than last year’s model – to make this primarily about just having a really nice timepiece on your wrist. It joins Fossil’s already-beefy 2017 lineup of hybrids, along with some other enticing entrants from the likes of Michael Kors, Mark Jacobs Riley and DKNY.

Sony Xperia XZs Review: An awesome flagship most will ignore!

Last year’s Sony Xperia XZ had all the makings of a true flagship but was a brilliant phone that most overlooked besides ardent Sony fans. Enter 2017, and we have the refreshed Sony Xperia XZs. The phone’s USP is probably its camera, thanks to Sony’s new Motion Eye camera system. Priced at Rs 49,990, the smartphone seems to have it all, but will it meet the same fate as its predecessor – a brilliant phone that most happened to overlook.

Build and Design

Nothing much has changed when it comes to design. The Xperia XZs rocks the same Omni Balance design language we’ve seen with past Xperia handsets.

The phone feels good in the hand, thanks to its curved edges and minimalistic design. The front makes for a comfy fit in hand, which has glass all the way to the edges and slightly curves at the bottom. Our review unit came in Jet Black which I think looks gorgeous.

SpotCam Sense Pro HD review: expanding the idea of home monitoring

SpotCam Pro HD’s reliable security and environmental monitoring make it a solid addition to any smart-home setup.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho SpotCam Sense Pro HD

With a few solid surveillance cameras in its stable, SpotCam’s latest offerings look to expand the idea of home monitoring by not only monitoring the security of your house when you’re away, but also its comfort levels when you’re home. The indoor SpotCam Sense ($150) and indoor/outdoor SpotCam Sense Pro ($190) are outfitted with all the surveillance features of a DIY home security camera along with a range of environmental sensors for tracking things like temperature and lighting.

The SpotCam Sense HD Pro can be used indoors or outdoors and is protected from water and dust.

The SpotCam Sense Pro, reviewed here, adheres to the design cues of the original SpotCam HD. The camera is housed in a cylindrical body attached to a hinged stand. Top to bottom the unit is just under 6 inches tall. It can be placed on a table, bookshelf, or other flat surface right out of the box, or you can affix it to a wall or ceiling using the included mounting kit.

Sound One SP-6 review: Sporty bluetooth on a budget

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Sound One SP-6

With Apple dropping the trusty 3.5mm jack, everyone’s been looking at Bluetooth. Especially those fitness buffs who workout or do a lot of outdoor sports. While Jaybirds and Bose have the high end sports wireless headset market cordoned off. With several Chinese brands with the same products under different names taking advantage of the budget sport headphone category. Now we see a new contender not only in this segment but also in India. Sound One is a Hong kong based company that has landed on our shores with their new SP-6 budget sports earphones.

Design and Build Quality

The Sound One SP-6 comes in a surprisingly premium plastic box. Which slides out like a drawer revealing the SP-6 splayed out in front of you. Removing the SP-6 from the housing required a bit of care, as there were a few locks holding it in place that are very hard to notice. First impression the headset looks the sporty part, with skewed angles and a two toned color. The entire headset is made of plastic that is light, and while the plastic may come off as cheap, anything thicker would have added weight to the unit.

Dell Inspiron 11 3000 (2017) Review

You’ll be surprised by what you can get for $199 these days. Take the candy-colored Dell Inspiron 11 3000, an 11-inch notebook with epic battery life and solid audio. The display is on the dim side, but overall, this Dell is a great choice for a secondary machine or your kid’s first PC.

Design

Dell makes the plastic Inspiron 11 3000 in kid-friendly red, white and blue designs. We tested the former, which is a shade that reminds me of a kid’s race-car bed.

The notebook’s glossy lid attracts as many eyes as fingerprints (tons) with a matte, off-tone Dell logo in the center of its lid. Inside, the power button is located near the top-right corner of a recessed full-size keyboard.

Volkswagen Beetle Old v New: 1965 v 2017

Cars of the 1940s and 1950s around the world were big and trimmed to the gills in chrome. While most looked like airplanes and were stunning to look at, they also cost a small fortune to run. Enter the Volkswagen Beetle. First introduced in 1938, the tiny ‘people’s car’ shot to prominence after World War II. It was basic, still managed to fit the family, and ran on the smell of an oily rag. It went on to sell nearly 22 million units over its lifetime.

2017-volkswagen-beetle-old-v-new-2

In 2016, this iconic car drove off into the sunset for the last time. After slow sales, the Beetle is no more in Australia, and the German auto giant marked this occasion with a special limited-edition car, the Beetle Classic. It’s back-to-basics, with no options, taking inspiration from the original Bug. So, to see just how much has changed over the decades, we put it up against my very own 1965 VW Beetle.

Best Cheap Phones of 2017 – Unlocked Android Smartphones

Both the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are fantastic phones — in fact, we think they’re the best Android phones available and Samsung is now taking orders on unlocked versions of the phones. But regular prices starting at $750, Samsung’s latest phones are pretty expensive as well. And that only makes inexpensive Android phones even more appealing, particularly if they’re not tied to any carrier.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Galaxy S8 and S8+

As far as other unlocked Android phones go, the Pixel and Pixel XL from Google are terrific options, and while they’re cheaper the the Galaxy S8 and S8+, it’s not that much of a cost savings. If you’d prefer to spend less than $500 on your next smartphone, you can’t go wrong with the OnePlus 3T ($439), the latest phone from OnePlus which features a better processor and longer battery life than its predecessor, our former top pick, the OnePlus 3. (Just be aware that OnePlus reportedly is working on a new version of its flagship phone for later this year.) Meanwhile, one of our favorite unlocked phones from 2016 — Huawei’s Honor 8— has been updated to the latest version of Android.

Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS Lens Review

Sony E Pz 18 110mm F4 Front Oblique View

Designed for the APS-C format, this Sony E fit lens seems to cater for many different aspects of both still and movie photography. It is bulky, complex in construction and offers many different ways it can be set up. Let’s see who it might be aimed at, how well it caters for the various styles implied and how well it actually performs.

Handling and Features

This huge lens weighs in at a fairly hefty 1105g, but combined with the Sony A6500 body used for this review it is surprisingly well balanced and does not feel particularly cumbersome. 18-110mm equates with a 35mm-format equivalent of 27-165mm, in other words from a decent wide angle to a useful telephoto. The aperture is a constant f/4, and for a lens which implies video use by many of its design features, perhaps it is surprising that it is calibrated in f/stops as opposed to T/stops. The lens is billed by Sony as being designed for high quality 4K movie making and having Super Smooth Optics.

Lenovo ThinkPad T470s Review

Light, slim and packed with ports, Lenovo’s ThinkPad T470s ($1,124 to start; models tested range up to $2,102.99) offers the strong performance, great keyboard and overall versatility of Lenovo’s popular ThinkPad T470, but it weighs a much lighter 2.9 pounds. Unlike its big brother, the T470s is available with a 2K screen and a choice of a silver or black chassis. This $1,124 laptop ($1,571 as tested) is pleasant to carry and work on, but below-average battery life and dull displays (on the 1080p models) hold it back.

Design

While all ThinkPads have a similar design, I’m still wowed by just how small the T470s is. The carbon-fiber chassis is black (or silver, if you like change), with the ThinkPad logo in the top-left-hand corner of the lid. When you lift the lid, you’ll be greeted by a 14-inch display, an island-style keyboard, a red pointing stick and another ThinkPad logo — this time, in the bottom-right corner of the black deck.

2017 Rolls Royce Phantom Inspired By Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Review

No matter how big Rolls-Royce’s model expansion gets, the Phantom has always and will continue to remain its flagship model. It’s a status that the luxury sedan has had for almost 100 years, or at least since the first Phantom broke into the auto scene back in 1925. There’s no escaping the fact that the Phantom model is largely credited for Rolls-Royce remaining at the top its game almost a hundred years, so much so that when a new collection of one-off models like the Wisdom Limited Collection arrives, the Phantom enjoys top billing. Such is the case with the Rolls-Royce Phantom Inspired by Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The British luxury brand refers to it as the “crown” of Rolls-Royce Abu Dhabi’s Wisdom Collection, and once you see what the one-off model comes with, there’ll be no denying its place among the seven one-offs that make up the whole collection.

The Phantom Inspired by Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is heavily inspired by the famous mosque, which is considered to be the biggest and important place of worship in Abu Dhabi. The details that Rolls-Royce Bespoke gave to underscore the mosque’s importance is evident in the luxury sedan.

Garmin Forerunner 935 Review: Big Power in a Slim Design

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Garmin Forerunner 935 Review: Big Power in a Slim Design

It’s been two years since Garmin released a new GPS watch for triathletes, ultramarathoners, and multisport athletes. The Garmin Forerunner 935, the successor to the venerable Forerunner 735XT, has a slim and light design that is perfect for long activities, whether it’s conquering an Ironman triathlon, or taking on a 50-mile run along some dusty trails. While pricey at $499, the new Forerunner is a solid iteration from Garmin that will prompt some athletes to upgrade their old watches and should be considered by those looking for their first multisport GPS watch.

Design

The Garmin Forerunner 935 looks like a thin, light sports watch. It has a black circular plastic face and plastic band. It’s thin enough (0.55 inches) and light enough (1.6 ounces) that I often forgot when I was wearing it. Its very simple design is perfect for anyone who is fine with a more casual athletic-watch look at work (i.e., ask me about my triathlon this weekend).

Amazon Echo vs Amazon Tap vs Echo Dot vs Echo Look vs Echo Show: What’s the difference?

The original Amazon Echo lineup of tiered-speaker heights reminded us of Starbucks coffee sizes (grande, venti, and trenta), but now, it’s added a two more Echo devices to the mix.

And they have radically different designs and purposes.

Amazon makes a cylindrical, internet-connected speaker called Echo, which doubles as a personal, cloud-based assistant, addressed as Alexa. It launched in the US in 2015, and it launched into Europe and the UK in autumn 2016. Alongside Echo, Amazon also offers two sibling speakers that debuted in March 2016 in the US, called Amazon Tap and Echo Dot, the latter of which has now been replaced with a refreshed model.

Fast forward a year, and Amazon has expanded the Echo line again. There’s the Echo Look, which includes a hands-free camera and offers up style advice, and there’s the Echo Show, which also has a camera as well as a touchscreen in order to add more functionality to your Alexa queries.

2017 Nissan Rogue Sport First Drive: Smaller, but not lesser SUV

What’s in a name? If that name happens to be ‘Rogue,’ well, you’re looking at the substantial brand equity of the best-selling SUV in America, and a vehicle that’s managed to move more units than even the mighty Ford F-150 pickup through the first quarter of 2017. It makes perfect sense, then, for Nissan to swap out the ‘Qashqai’ name that’s used to identify its latest compact crossover everywhere else in the world and go all-in on the ‘Rogue Sport’ badge for the American market.

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport more than just a familiar name slapped on a new lunchbox and placed on a lower, more budget-friendly shelf. At its core, it’s a re-think of what a certain slice of sport-utility customers might be looking for in a versatile commuter, and one that seeks to carve out new territory for the automaker rather than simply chip away at the existing Rogue buyer base.

6 things we want from watchOS 4 : The features Apple should add to its next watchOS update

Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference is just around the corner, and you know what that means: Apple is likely to announce and demo watchOS 4, the next phase of its smartwatch operating system.

For the past three iterations of watchOS, Apple has slowly figured out what people like about the Apple Watch (Fitness! Notifications!) and what people don’t like (weird communication things!), overhauling the operating system where needed.

The Apple Watch with watchOS 3 is almost completely different from what the Apple Watch with watchOS 1 was, and that refinement is likely to continue with watchOS 4. So what should Apple add? Follow us down the rabbit hole, won’t you.

Arcam rPhono review

Phono stages have one of the hardest jobs to do in hi-fi. They have to amplify the tiny signal put out by the cartridge by as much as a thousand times, while adding a minimum of noise and distortion in the process. In comparison, the task faced by pre and power amplifiers seems easy.

The built-in phono stage has become something of a rare beast in amplification. Such circuits aren’t always great even when included, so if the current vinyl revival has perked your interest, we think you should consider Arcam’s rPhono.

Build and features

This is a small aluminium-cased unit – about the size of a typical paperback book – and feels about as solid as a brick. It’s finished beautifully with crisp edges and has a smart, understated appearance.

Lenovo ThinkPad X270 Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Lenovo ThinkPad X270

One of Lenovo’s most portable business laptops, the ThinkPad X270 combines strong performance, a fantastic keyboard and over 13 hours of endurance (with its high-capacity battery) in a lightweight package. Starting at $999 ($2,514 as configured), this 12.5-inch productivity powerhouse doesn’t come cheap, but its compact and durable design, wide variety of ports and superior usability make it a great choice for productivity-centric users on the go.

Design

The ThinkPad X270 has the same rectangular, raven-black aesthetic as both its direct predecessor, the X260, and most other ThinkPads. The glass-fiber-reinforced plastic chassis has a soft-touch lid, sides and bottom, but the deck has a regular, hard texture.

Hulu Live TV Review: The promise of good things to come

Hulu has finally launched its own live TV product, following in the footsteps of competitors like DirecTV NOW, PlayStation Vue, Sling TV, and most recently, YouTube TV. It’s an exciting time for television, at least as far as consumers are concerned, ushering in a level of freedom unprecedented in the live TV industry. As we’ve detailed for most of these products in the past, subscribers get access to things like mobile device streaming, multi-platform support, cloud DVR storage, and more. The big question now is: how does Hulu’s service compare to the rest?

Hulu Live TV Review: The promise of good things to come

Interface

The most impressive thing about Hulu TV is that it isn’t a separate product — the entire app interface has been overhauled and the live TV product has been seamlessly integrated, so much so that you don’t feel like you’re watching traditional television at all. On-demand content and live channels reside in the same overall package to such an integrated degree that it’s nearly impossible to imagine them as two wholly separate types of entertainment (on-demand versus live).

Garmin Vivosmart 3 v Fitbit Charge 2: The all-rounder face-off

If you’re looking for a good all-around fitness tracker, you’ve got two companies dueling for your hard-earned cash in Garmin and Fitbit.

Garmin Vivosmart 3 v Fitbit Charge 2

The Charge 2 is a well-known entrant, going head-to-head with its VO2 Max and heart rate variability. But there’s a new contender to the throne, the Garmin Vivosmart 3, complete with a whole bunch of new features over the Vivosmart HR+ plus a new focus on wellness.

So, which all-around fitness tracker is good for you? Let’s find out.

Garmin Vivosmart 3 v Fitbit Charge 2: Design

When it comes to design, neither the Vivosmart 3 or Charge 2 is going to light your world on fire. These fitness trackers are all about function, not making you look like a fashionista. The Vivosmart 3 is going full comfort with its design. It’s got a textured rubber band with a smooth black strip down the center, an effort to hide the screen when it’s not on.

MSI GP72VR 7RFX Leopard Pro Review

MSI GP72VR 7RFX

MSI is known for its hard-core gaming cred, but its new GPX series is meant to deliver strong performance at relatively reasonable prices. The GP72VR 7RFX ($1,599 as reviewed; $1,199 to start) packs an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU and Intel Core i7 CPU for VR readiness at less than $2,000. The laptop’s vivid display and comfortable keyboard make it easy to recommend, though you’ll need to carry a charger with you. Also realize that you’re paying a bit extra for the MSI’s stylish design and RGB-backlit keyboard.

Design

The Leopard Pro doesn’t do anything to move MSI’s design forward. It’s not bad, just the same. That means you get a black aluminum chassis (though the very bottom is plastic) and a lid with the MSI logo and red dragon shield. There are slight curves on the lid that give it an air of power, but no so much that it’s intimidating.

B&O Beoplay P2 review

Bluetooth speakers can be a little hit and miss. That’s especially true of smaller speakers, which can be seriously limited in both volume and battery life.

Bang & Olufsen, however, thinks it has the solution to that problem. The company recently launched B&O Beoplay P2, a portable Bluetooth speaker with a number of awesome features.

The Beoplay P2 is a little different from other Bluetooth speakers. Not only does it offer seriously good performance for such a small package, but it blurs the lines between smart and dumb speakers with its gesture and voice controls.

Design

2017 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS Review – First Ride

In an era in which adventure-styled motorcycles seem to be taking over the sport-touring class, the 2017 KawasakiNinja 1000 ABS stands out as a great example of a traditional sport-tourer. Kawasaki has taken the heart of a sportbike and wrapped it with a package that can tackle almost any task a rider could want, from commuting to canyon scratching to touring to the occasional track day. Outfit it with the optional $1165 saddlebags, and you’ve got a mount that would be a great multi-state companion for less than $14,000.

Touring the spec sheet

At first blush, one might be tempted to say that not too much has changed functionally in the 2017 update. Well, that’s both partially right and wrong. Yes, whole sections of the motorcycle remain mechanically the same, which points to the overall strength of the platform prior to the update. However, the changes were designed to improve specific areas of the Ninja 1000’s utility.
