Jabra Eclipse – Bluetooth Headset Review

Whether you’re making Skype calls from your laptop or chatting with family on FaceTime while you walk around the room, a wireless Bluetooth headset is much more convenient than the wired alternatives. The Jabra Eclipse ($80 at Amazon and Best Buy) is a handsome earpiece that avoids the bulky, conspicuous and dorky design of most other Bluetooth headsets.  However, it’s not a standout option for professionals because of an awkward charging cycle, poor Bluetooth range, and lackluster background noise cancellation.

Design: The Eclipse Looks the Part

Jabra bills the Eclipse as “the lightest headset ever,” but it’s also one of the snappiest pieces of gadget design I’ve seen. Typically, Bluetooth headsets are on the butt-end of jokes as the de facto gear of self-important businesspeople. However, thanks to its narrow form and svelte design, the Eclipse is too subtle a piece of tech to elicit those easy laughs. It’s the exact opposite of pretentious.

2017 Yamaha SCR950 Review

The retro war is heating up as more and more manufacturers jump into the fray, and Yamaha finally takes the plunge with its new-for-2017 SCR950 scrambler. Based on the Star Bolt, this bike runs the same proven 942 cc mill with a decidedly classic overallpanache dating back to the original scramblers of the ’60s and ’70s.

The scrambler revival is just one part of the burgeoning interest in retro-style bikes, with cafe’ racers and UJM othervariants also enjoying a comeback. I would argue, though, that the recent spike in popularity of the dual-sport and adventure-bike models may be a boon for the grand-daddy of dual-surface rides, and make its resurgence even more relevant. I must confess that I have an affinity for scramblers, and I already know the Bolt is a heck of a bike, even if it is, shall we say, veryflattering to a certain Sportster currently on the market, so it is with high expectations that I approach The Tuning Fork Company’s new foray into scrambler territory.

Cheerson CX-93S RC Quadcopter Review

Cheerson is a well known company for its drones. Only yesterday revealed the details for the latest version of its model Cheerson CX-93S. From what we have seen, it’s looking to be a pretty decent quadcopter setup. It comes with true 5.8GHz FPV, a 720p camera, hand launching and 5-6 minutes of flight time.

The design of the Cheerson CX-93S is quite nice looking coming in black, a medium sized frame with dimensions 165 x 165 x 45mm, 3 bladed propellers and it weights in 98g. It also comes with a prop guards to help protect the propellers.

2016 Triumph Rocket III Review

It goes without saying that Triumph has some deep roots, and the factory has absolutely zero compunction about relying on past successes. Not to suggest it rests on its laurels, far from it, merely pointing out the depth of heritage Trumpet brings to the table. The Rocket III family of bikes benefits from this practice, and the Roadster  and Touring models share roots that go all the way back to 1968 to the BSA Rocket 3 “Trident.”

Built to compete with other large-displacement cruisers in the American market, the Rocket III range really brings the pain to its competitors with an incredible powerplant tucked away within rides that seem somewhat familiar, even typical, to riders accustomed to the domestic scene. I must confess that I’ve been looking forward to looking at these bikes, primarily because, well, Triumph, but also because the aptly-named, Rocket family is going to hurt an awful lot of feelings amongst both the domestic manufacturers and imports alike. Let the games begin.

Lenovo Miix 510 Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Lenovo Miix 510 Review

Detachable 2-in-1 laptops try to do the job of both a tablet and a notebook. The Lenovo Miix 510 doesn’t quite deliver the best of both worlds. While this slick-looking hybrid offers fast performance and a colorful display, the machine’s battery life and keyboard leave much to be desired. Starting at $599 ($723 as tested), the Miix 510 is a solid choice, but there are better options at this price.

Design

The Miix 510 offers a premium look and feel, with its magnesium-aluminum chassis and its stylish mechanical watchband hinges. The underside of the 2-in-1’s keyboard folio is made of a synthetic-leather-like-material that won’t fool anyone, but it won’t offend sensibilities either.

Review of the JJRC H36 MINI RC Quadcopter with 6Axis Gyro and Headless Mode (Real photos and video presentation inside)

During Black Friday many eshop had various mobiles and gadgets in very good prices. One of my orders during that period was the JJRC H36 MINI RC Quadcopter from Geekbuying, where I found it at a really very good price. From what I see, you can still find it at a very good price, almost as it was during Black Friday. So let us have a good look at what came to me from Geekbuying

Package

The JJRC H36 mini Quadcopter came to me with registered Air Mail in 16 days. This is a very very good time for sending something from China to Greece. The package came well protected in the usual bubble protective sheets. I have to admit that at Geekbuying they know their work in protection. Opening the package came across the main box of the quadcopter. A beautiful box with images of the drone in both version on each side.

Huawei Honor Magic VS Xiaomi MI MIX Hands on Review

Huawei released a mysterious high-end future smartphone, Huawei Honor Magic, which is one of the best smartphone to compete with Xiaomi MI MIX, but according to real test, we found Honor Magic tends to a predictable smartphone without too much surprise.

Specs comparison

In terms of design, it is the expansion of curved smartphone, as for whether it’s beautiful or not, it varies from person to person. But we have to keep our opinion about the back dual rear camera and flash light. Huawei has also released a Honor Magic quick charge, which can charge 90% power in 30 minutes. We don’t know whether it’s related to 2,900mAh battery, after all, we care about the battery life.

2016 Hyundai Tucson Night Review

Hyundai introduced the third-generation Tucson at the2015 Geneva Motor Show as a 2016 model. This new generation brought some much-needed change to the Tucson’s overall character with highlights including a new, hexagonal grille, reworked fascias that were both more aggressive and sportier in nature over the previous generation, restyled exterior lights, and it comes complete in a larger package, which ultimately meant more passenger space and cargo room. The interior was fancied up with new soft-touch materials and a more premium look and new technology. But, consumers are never really happy, so Hyundai found it necessary to use its booth at SEMA to introduce this new trim level for the Tucson range. Dubbed the “NIGHT,” this model follows suit with other manufacturers that have been capitalizing on consumers’ strange preoccupation with darker themes on cars – prompting the market to be flooded with various “black-edition” models from all over the globe.

Speedlink Omnivi Gaming Mouse Review : Great to look at but awkward to use!

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Speedlink Omnivi Gaming Mouse

What is the Speedlink Omnivi?

Gamers will quite happily spend hundreds of pounds on the latest graphics card, but the devices that we use all the time and will get the most benefit from paying a little bit extra for are often neglected. The three peripherals that we think are key to giving the best overall gaming enjoyment are the headset, keyboard and mouse. A bad one of these will annoy you every second you are on the computer but with a good one, every time you are playing a game it will be a pleasurable experience, unless you are playing the latest Call of Duty in which case nothing you can do will make that fun.

Our last gaming hardware review was the Ultor Gaming Keyboard from Speedlink which gave a reasonable account of itself back in September. Our next gaming item is again from Speedlink, this time it’s their Omnivi Gaming Mouse. Available for a reasonable sounding £59/$88, the Omnivi is packed to the rafters with features such as a 12,000dpi optical sensor, adjustable LED lighting, 10 configurable buttons, adjustable precision levels and much more. Read on to see how we get on during testing…

Hands on: Chuwi LapBook review

The recent months have seen several laptops that get their inspiration from Apple’s iconic MacBook range. The Jumper EZBook 2 looks like a 13-inch MacBook Air while the Xiaomi Air 12 borrows heavily from the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro.

Chinese vendor Chuwi follows that trend with the LapBook, a notebook that sharply differs from the competition in physical terms. Firstly, it adopts a white finish throughout (except for the screen bezel and the keyboard), then there’s the fact that it uses a 15.6-inch display, and finally, it is one of the very few devices to use a 5V adaptor, the same as your smartphone or tablet.

Indeed we’ve successfully managed to power it using a standard charger, although sadly, Chuwi engineers opted for a proprietary connector rather than the ubiquitous microUSB port. There are two models of the LapBook available with the only difference being the processor and the price.

Asus ROG G701VI Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Asus ROG G701VI Review

To maintain your competitive edge while you game, you can’t take your eyes away from the screen — not even for a second. That’s where the Asus ROG G701VI ($2,999.99 to start; $3,499.99 as tested) comes in. Its 1080p G-Sync display offers whopping 178-degree viewing angles, making your fragging visible no matter where you sit (or what snack you move over to reach for). Its Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPU delivers monster performance and supports the latest VR headsets, making the G701VI a solid choice for anyone who wants games to look and play their best.

Design

Asus really nailed it with its new design for gaming laptops. The ROG G701VI looks quite a bit like the Asus ROG G752VS OC Edition, and I’m just fine with that. The lid is gunmetal gray with copper accents and the over-the-top ROG logo in between two glowing orange stripes. It looks intense but isn’t the clichéd red and black we’ve seen time and time again. There are some seriously large vents on the back of the machine. However, they’re all black, unlike the ones on the G752VS, which are decorated with glowing orange lights.

2017 Harley-Davidson Road King Review

The 2017 Harley-Davidson Road King brings classic, FL design elements and the MoCo’s newest engine — the Milwaukee-Eight — together for this new generation of the touring king. Not only is the engine all new, but Harley finally got out of its suspension rut and threw on something other than its usual vanilla components. Is it enough, and can it compete with other established cruise/tourmodels out there? What else has Harley hidden away in there? Join me as I take a good look at the new FLHR and check out what all the factory tucked in there to stay relevant in an ever more demanding market.

Design

Harley-Davidson Road King

Longtime fans of the brand will recognize the influence of the old Duo-Glide circa 1958 and the FLH models that came after. Really, it’s the front end that sets the tone with massive, 49 mm forks made to look even fatter with a chrome, “beer can” fork skirt and “Hiawatha” headlamp nacelle. Whisker-bar mounted passing lamps and turn signals finish the forward lighting, and a large, “Detachables” windshield crowns the whole assembly.

MSI VR One Review : True Wireless VR for Rich People

Kết quả hình ảnh cho MSI VR One

We cut the cords on our phones, cable boxes and headphones — so why not do the same for our virtual-reality headsets? Until recently, if you wanted to use the HTC Vive, you had to be tethered to a PC. But MSI has stepped in to remedy that problem by introducing the MSI VR One (starting at $1,999; reviewed at $2,299), a backpack that’s essentially a gaming PC without the backbreaking weight. With the headset plugged into the backpack and all the wires neatly tucked out of the way, the VR One delivers an absolutely liberating VR experience.

However, with Intel, Google, Microsoft and Oculus working on powerful mobile VR headsets that are just as, if not more, powerful than the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift, the MSI VR One’s days could be numbered.

Bowers & Wilkins Audio System (McLaren 570GT) hands-on review

Can a supercar have a super audio system? We took the McLaren 570GT and its B&W audio system for a spin to find out…

Given the McLaren 570GT starts at £154,000/$231,000, the B&W Audio System looks like a no-brainer on paper. Costing just £1840/$2760, it features 12 speakers, 14 channels of Harman Class D amplification and 1280W of power. In comparison, the standard system that comes with the car uses eight speakers and 240W of Class AB amplification.

The B&W set-up is tuned by the same team responsible for the company’s 800 Series Diamond speakers and uses a fair amount of similar technology as a result. Highlights include the Nautilus aluminum tweeters, ‘tweeter on top’ technology and B&W’s trademark Kevlar driver units.

Gigabyte P37X v6 review

Gaming laptops with 4K displays were for a long time beautiful yet frustrating machines. High-resolution video, websites and icons may have looked razor-sharp on the desktop, but try to fire up a triple-A title and you’d be met with frame rates sludgier than a snail caught in a trail of treacle.

Thankfully, gaming laptops like the Gigabyte P37X came along to solve that. Powered by Nvidia’s new GTX 10-Series of graphics cards, they’re capable of desktop-like performance and make it possible to game at higher resolutions without titles running like slideshows.

Compared to newer entrants like the Acer Predator 17 X that sport 4K displays and are running on Nvidia’s older Maxwell-based GPUs like the GTX 980, the P37X makes much more sense.

2016 Honda RC213V-S Review

Interest in race-replica models is beginning to wane in favor of the more public road-oriented naked bikes and streetfighters, but you’d never know it looking at the work Honda put into the RC213V-S.

The “S” is based on Honda’s RC213V factory racebike currently competing in the MotoGP circuit, and it is important to mention here that this is the bike that carried Honda to the Riders’, Constructors’ and Team Championships in both ’13 and ’14.

While this isn’t quite a straight-up racebike with turn signals, it’s a fairly faithful reproduction and is as close as you will find among the production bikes on the road today. Let’s face it — to unleash a 100-percent genuine racebike on the public would be irresponsible at best, and criminal at worst, so the factory had to nerf it just a little bit.

Hands on: Vensmile K8 Mini PC review

Geekbuying sent us the Vensmile K8, an entire computer that is about the size of a standard keyboard which is foldable and costs just over £137 (around $170, AU$230) – not a bad price for what you get here.

(That price is exclusive of any taxes that may be levied by HMRC or the courier companies on behalf of the vendor. Want to buy tech from online Chinese retailers? Read this first.)

The K8 comes with an HDMI cable, a 15W (5V3A) adaptor and a rather elegant, leather-like, carrying pouch. Note that the device is advertised as waterproof but what this actually means is that the keyboard is spill-proof; immersing the K8 completely in water will kill it.

2017 Ducati Monster 797 Review

Ducati  adds to its “Monster” family with the accessible and relatively rider-friendly “797” version of its popular naked bike. This all-new ride uses the same 803 cc mill that drives the full-size Scramblers , so while it isn’t a net-new engine, it is a proven one.

Dual front brakes with ABS, Pirelli tires and fat Kayaba forks are but some of the features included in what looks to be the closest to an “entry level” ride that the Monster family is ever liable to get. I’ve been eager to take a look at this new ride ever since it was revealed at the Milan show, and what I see so far does not disappoint. OnePlus 3T vs Apple iPhone 7 Plus: Battle of the big phones

OnePlus 3T is the latest phone from the original market disruptors, and comes as one of our most highly recommended smartphones of the year. It essentially took what was great about the OnePlus 3 and made it faster, and last longer.

Similarly, the iPhone 7 Plus is an improved version of the 6s Plus, which in itself was an improved version of the 6 Plus.

Both phones are available to buy now, but come with hugely different price tags. The question is: does the difference in experience justify the price gap?

2017 Mazda MX-5 Arctic Edition Review

Special edition versions of the Mazda MX-5 Miata aren’t exactly a rare breed. In the sports coupe’s life span, we’ve seen one unique iteration after another, each more unique than the other. The current-generation MX-5 isn’t immune to this lavish treatment as Mazda has prepared SE versions like the Recaro Limited Edition, the Icon Special Edition, and the just-announced Arctic Edition. Each one of them had one thing in common: they were all MX-5 Miatas at heart.

mazda-mx5-arctic-2017-special-edition-757514

The MX-5 Miata Arctic Edition follows in a long line of special edition Miatas. It’s got a special body color that matches the mood of the season it’s celebrating. It also has complementary trim accents and an interior that’s dressed to the nines. And let’s not forget about the cool name. “Arctic Edition” looks and sounds like a boss, which is probably why Mazda decided to use it again after first bestowing the name to, you guessed it, the MX-5 Miata 12 years ago.

SONY XPERIA EAR REVIEW

In theory, Sony’s newest wearable sounds promising. The Xperia Ear is a single Bluetooth earbud that lets you dictate messages, get weather updates and smartphone notifications, and carry out other little tasks just by talking to it. It’s like having an Amazon Echo in your ear, except with far fewer skills and third-party integrations. Sony also promises a long-lasting battery that can endure a full workday of talk time with the included charging case, so you can have the assistant ready for your commands all day. Unfortunately, the Xperia Ear simply doesn’t do enough to justify its $200 asking price.

2017 KTM RC 125 / RC 390 Review

Indoctrination works best when it starts at the earliest opportunity, and KTM goes to work on the entry-level with its RC 125 and RC 390 sportbikes. Both come completely street legal, and though it doesn’t affect the U.S., some buyers will be glad to hear that at 15 horsepower, the RC 125 falls at the top of the power bracket for A1 licensing. Though neither bike is built for what you might call blistering speeds, they really shine when it comes to the handling performance. Each can serve not only as an entry-level streetbike, but as a race trainer as well and the smaller cc engines make sporty commuters. The race to the bottom-tier market is hotter than ever and KTM is working to stay competitive in such a populated bracket.

Design

KTM RC 125 / RC 390

Nose-down and tail-up, the stance makes it look faster than it really is. An aggressive entry flows into the engine cowling that stops short to leave half of the Trellis frame exposed for a sort of hybrid naked -sportbike look. I kind of like this blend of attributes, and think it speaks to the function-over-form attitude of the engineers during development.
