Wetek Hub Android TV Media Player Review

What is the Wetek Hub?

The Wetek Hub is the latest 4K Ultra HD Android Media/ TV box from a company which has impressed us more, as time has gone by. Unlike many in the sector, Wetek has a history in releasing product to the market with already well developed firmware (and software) and, as shortcomings and bugs do appear, they’re proactive in addressing them via updates. They’re not alone in this level of support and service – notably Minix are even more prolific with post-release software releases – and, the Hub is broadly comparable to that company’s latest Android player, the U1. There are differences but the main processor in the Wetek is a revision of that in the Minix with, we are told, an improvement in the support of certain 10-bit HEVC Ultra HD files, although there’s no advertised support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) video.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Wetek Hub Android TV Media Player Review

The Wetek Hub is priced (August 2016) at 89.00 Euro on Wetek’s online store, with delivery options to the UK currently starting at 10 Euro. Compared, specs-wise, to the nearly countless selection of Android TV Boxes you see over various online outlets, it might look pricey, but our experiences would tell us that it’s almost always worth paying a little more for something that (hopefully) works very well out of the box and doesn’t require hours of online frustration to get around inherent bugs in the software. Like its sister product, the Wetek Core, the Hub has the necessary licensing and accreditation to stream up to 1080p Netflix (and other services) which does make it quite unusual, although no match for the UHD HDR capabilities of the NVIDIA Shield Android TV.

PlayStation 4 vs. PlayStation 4 ‘Slim’ – The more things change, the more they stay the same

Sony has shown off a pair of new consoles, the PlayStation 4 Slim and PlayStation 4 Pro, both of which are updates to the PS4 hardware. While the PS4 Pro is pushing the hardware towards 4K gaming and stronger VR performance, the PS4 Slim is a smaller, sleeker take on the PS4 as we’ve known it the past three years.

This new slim model will be the base PS4 model going forward, replacing the larger model that has been available since 2013. But just how much of a replacement is the PS4 Slim over the original? Below you’ll find a detailed breakdown of the specifications for each of the two consoles, as well as analysis for how they stack up in terms of power, design, and more.

Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight Equipped Touring Models – FIRST RIDE REVIEW

We brought the party. From the crevices of a damp, cold gas station emerged a loose collective of jubilant chemical enhancement enthusiasts. “One day he’ll have one of those,” the matriarch of the group wobbily spoke, pointing a finger over to the lanky individual in an Astro Van that was going nowhere fast. Even though they had nowhere to be, and no one to answer to, we were the ones that were free.

Harley-Davidson tourer on-road action

On the move on the new Milwaukee-Eight equipped Street Glide.

Why? Because we were on Harley-Davidsons. Because no other bike culturally represents “making it” quite like the bar and shield brand. To own one is to imbue yourself in the tradition of the American pioneer from pilgrims to astronauts. You set a goal, and you achieved it on your own terms. You don’t change, you change the world. And you chose a bike that does the same.

To make adjustments to this tried and true formula is akin to chiseling a new commandment into the twin tablets. To adding a face to Mount Rushmore. It threatens the allure that these bikes have held on so many levels.

This is the situation the new Milwaukee-Eight equipped touring models face. The bikes given the lofty mission of retaining the classic Harley look, sound, and feel, while bringing the experience forward into new regulatory and market environments.

COBRA CDR 895 D REVIEW

Many modern dash cameras are great at capturing all the action that lies ahead of your vehicle but can’t show the rear or footage of the interior. Cobra is joining the growing number of companies offering a dual-camera system with their newest 895 D to help give you a full view. We took a look to see if any blind spots remain with this latest addition.

Initial camera setup

Out of the box, you will get a similar camera design found in the Cobra 855 BT system for the front camera. This camera features the same 160-degree viewing angle and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution at 30fps, but does not have the Bluetooth connection capability for GPS tracking. The rear camera has a 130-degree viewing angle and a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution at 30fps. Its design is compact and cylindrical, similar to the rear camera from the BlackVue system. It adheres to the glass with a 3M adhesive and is not easily removable once set in place while up front, a suction mount is included and attaches to a quick release bracket that lets you slide the camera off easily.

Meizu Pro 6 Mobile camera review

Overview

Equipped with a 21Mp 1/2.4”-type sensor (5312×3984 pixels) and a 31mm f/2.2 lens, the Meizu Pro 6 achieves an overall DxOMark mobile score of 74. With a Photo sub-score of 78, highlights for still photography include fast autofocus performance via the phase detection and laser-assisted autofocus system, and flash pictures with great detail using the dual-tone flash unit with no fewer than ten LED lights. The Meizu Pro 6 also delivered mostly well-exposed images with pleasant color in many of our tests, although we found dynamic range in some exposures to be a little limited in default mode.

Capable of 4K video capture (3840x2160px @ 30fps), the Meizu Pro 6 achieved a Video sub-score of 66 points. Outdoor movies render vivid and pleasant color, and noise is reasonably well-controlled in both indoor and outdoor videos. The reliable autofocus performance translates to video capture, too, which we found consistently accurate in auto mode. The Meizu Pro 6 also features geo-tagging and a built-in picture editor, but no image stabilization for eiWe found some shots lacked dynamic range in default exposure mode, but the Meizu Pro 6 does offer a HDR mode that can be activated manually.

2017 AUDI R8 V10 PLUS REVIEW

The truth is, the only people who ever fantasize about a “daily driver supercar” are the ones who can’t really afford them. When the pinnacle of vehicular engineering and design escapes your financial reach, you dream of bundling your practical needs and performance desires into one generalist purchase. By contrast, those with the wherewithal to purchase a new supercar almost certainly can afford one or more additional cars to tackle family hauling and other utilitarian duties.

This reality liberates engineers to design supercars without compromises. Sure, everyone has to comply with safety regulations, but if there’s no concern for trunk space, fuel economy, or affordable build materials, the restrictions on automotive visionaries are few.

But what happens when an automaker tries to build the do-it-all supercar: one that’s comfortable and agile, sharp and subtle, powerful and tamed? That’s precisely the challenge Audi underwent in 2007 with its first generation R8, and now its successor seeks to improve the total package.

UNO NOTEBAND REVIEW

Wearables are great for catching up with notifications you may otherwise miss, but the little screens aren’t so good for quickly reading a wall of text, or for getting the point of a message across speedily without resorting to looking at your phone. This, of course, defeats the whole object.

The Uno Noteband is a possible solution to this problem, thanks to clever speed-reading technology that makes the most out of the Noteband’s diminutive screen size. We’ve been trying it out to see if it’s the answer to our wearable woes.

Hands on: Lenovo Ideacentre Y710 Cube review

Gaming PCs that are both crazy powerful and portable enough to carry to LAN parties are growing in numbers. And no, we’re not counting luxuries like the8pack Asteroid, which come with their own flight cases, among them. Like theAlienware Aurora R5, Lenovo’s new Ideacentre Y710 Cube has a handle built into its case that makes lugging it to gaming halls, your friend’s bedroom, or the room next door much less of a hassle.

So, pricing: the VR-ready Ideacentre Y710 Cube starts at $1,300 (around £1,000, AU$1,700) for the version with a GTX 1070 graphics card. You can, of course, expect the cost for the full-fat GTX 1080 version to be north of that. Both configurations go on sale from October.

Hands on: Asus ROG Swift PG258Q review

Most PC gamers are happy with hitting 60 frames per second (or FPS) in games. In recent years, however, the arrival of high-refresh-rate monitors has ushered in a new era of super-slick PC gaming where gaming at refresh rates of 120Hz, 144Hz or, in the case of Asus ROG Swift PG258Q, a whopping 240Hz, is easily achievable.

If you’re running a PC that has a graphics card capable of pushing such a high number of frames to the monitor, gameplay is rendered in buttery-smooth high-fidelity. Not only does it look amazing, it can help you take down enemies a split second before they have the chance to react to you in their sights.

As such, having a monitor that’s as fast as you is vital for playing e-sports or first-person shooter (FPS) games – such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive or similar – where twitchy-heavy movement and accuracy is key to victory.

2016 Lenovo Ideacentre Y900 (GTX 1080) Review : VR-Readiness at a High Cost

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Lenovo Ideacentre Y900 (GTX 1080)

The Lenovo Ideacentre Y900 ($2,099 as reviewed, $1,799 starting) is an impressive gaming desktop that’s full of frustrating contradictions. Its GeForce GTX 1080-powered gaming performance is ready for the most demanding (and VR-capable games), but it doesn’t have the style of some of its premium-looking rivals. And while its painless upgradability makes it ideal for future-proofing, its high price tag is a turn-off..

If you’re willing to shell out for a high-performance gaming PC that you can easily keep fresh over time, the Y900 is a perfectly reasonable buy. But there are more versatile, more affordable and generally cooler-looking alternatives out there.

2016 Hyundai i30 Active v 2017 Kia Cerato S Comparison

Until only recently, the 2016 Hyundai i30 was the biggest-selling car in Australia. But, after a wind-down on strong deals, the i30 has fallen back beyond Toyota’s Corolla to sit in second place year-to-date.

That only serves to prove the landscape can change in a ‘motoring moment,’ between the time I write this and you read it, for example. Or, in the case of comparing Hyundai’s sales juggernaut against the 2017 Kia Cerato, the goalposts have shifted between testing cars and writing up this comparison.

Why? See, we pitted the base i30 Active Auto against the entry-level Cerato S Hatch Auto back in June. At the time, you could drive away from showroom floors of either automatic-equipped Kia or Hyundai for a tenner under twenty grand with nothing more to pay up front. Yes, red-hot value pitches in a massively popular segment, and it was a clean head-to-head shootout at the price-savvy $19,990 corral.

This is the concept crossover Lexus hopes to woo Millennials with

Lexus makes big money from its luxury SUVs, and now it’s teasing a future where it does the same from tiny versions too. Toyota’s luxury arm has taken the wraps off the first teaser shot of the upcoming Lexus UX Concept, a smaller city crossover that will make its debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show come September 26.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho This is the concept crossover Lexus hopes to woo Millennials with

Size-wise, the UX Concept would seemingly slot in underneath Lexus’ two current SUVs, the RX and the NX. That’s some strong-selling company: in August 2016, for instance, Lexus sold more of the RX than any other model in its line-up, while NX sales were up by more than 20-percent.

Given the apparent appetite Lexus drivers have for crossovers and SUVs, therefore, a smaller and more affordable model seems like a sensible route. Of course, the automaker isn’t saying that a production version of the UX Concept is guaranteed.

ASUS ROG GL502 (GTX 970M) review – premium gaming notebook with special attention to detail

Image result for ASUS ROG GL502 (GTX 970M) review – premium gaming notebook with special attention to detail

Several months ago we shared with you that the then-upcoming ROG GL502 by ASUS would come at a great price and be one of the best gaming notebooks out there. Now the machine is on the market and naturally, we took one for in-depth testing. This model is especially interesting because of its stylish metal ultra-thin body, great performance and good price.

There must be a catch somewhere but wherever it is, it is not on the specs sheet – Intel Core i7-6700HQ, GeForce GTX 970M and IPS screen with Full HD or 4K resolution. We all know that NVIDIA has already released GeForce GTX 10xx but it turned out that in many countries the new notebooks don’t come cheap and you should double-check the price/performance ratio before buying (psst… use our Top Laptop Graphics Ranking page). For example, in most European countries the models with GTX 1070 start at around 1800-2000 EUR ($2050 – $2500), while the GTX 970M configurations can be found for around 1300 EUR.

Dali Katch review

Like a political ad campaign aimed at attracting the youth vote, Dali has continued swapping Cs for Ks in the title of its latest wireless speaker offering, the Dali Katch.

Build

Placing the Katch on the table in front of us, we get our first feel of what £330 buys you; satisfyingly weighty, but not forgoing its portability, and seemingly robust while remaining easy on the eye.

It’s less industrious looking than its Dali bedfellow, the Award-winning Dali Kubik, with an oval face and retractable handle that’s more than a tad reminiscent of Bang & Olufsen’s stylish BeoPlay A2.

iPhone 7 vs iPhone 6S : What are the differences, is it worth upgrading and which is best for me?

The wait is over, the whiff of the iPhone 7 release date is in our nostrils. So if you’re thinking of snapping up a shiny new iPhone ahead of next week’s in-store launch… STOP! Hold your horses – until you’ve read this and the new device has dropped, at least.

Numark TT250USB Turntable Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Numark TT250USB Turntable Review

What is the Numark TT250USB?

The Numark TT250USB is a direct drive turntable aimed squarely at the budding DJ and to this end it comes with a selection of features that are firmly designed to help it function ‘in da club.’ However, it also has all the features that you might reasonably expect a home turntable to have on it as well. Given that the Numark is yours for £220/$330, this asks some interesting questions about whether it is an idealstarter deck for home use as well.

The thinking is solid enough. Some home audio brands make turntables from a relatively similar price – £250/$375 or so – but when you start to look at the relative features that the Numark offers, they can look somewhat parsimonious by comparison. Of course, there are some understandable misgivings about cheap pro audio turntables – there is a reason why mint condition 12 inch copies of many seminal club records are so expensive – so does the Numark deliver at a domestic level as well as a semi pro one. It’s time to fire up this wheel of steel and see what it can do.

Quick look at Acer Aspire E 15 (E5-575G) – re-designed, feature-packed workforce on a budget

Acer has always been on the budget side of things but rarely sacrifices much-needed features along the way. And now we are happy to see a feature-packed laptop like the Aspire E5-575G costing so little finding its way into the lower-end of the market. We had the chance of using the notebook for a few days now and here’s what we think of it.

Design

The chassis of the notebook uses mostly plastic with an interesting pattern that feels great and aids for a better grip when carrying it around. Of course, it’s not the best material for rigidity but gets the job done pretty well with the only weak spot being the center of the lid.

2016 Logi Circle Camera Update Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Logi Circle black camera

UPDATED Sept. 1, 2016, with news of Circle Safe cloud-storage plan.

The $199 Logi Circle Portable Home Connection Camera is not designed to be a security camera. Instead, it’s positioned as a “home connection camera,” meant for capturing video of babies and birthday parties rather than of burglars and raccoons. The Logi Circle is simple to set up and a lot of fun to use, but it currently can’t save recorded video for more than 24 hours, which limits its usefulness. [Logitech added a subscription-storage plan on Sept. 1, 2016. See below.]

iPhone 7 vs. iPhone 7 Plus : Pick the Right iPhone for You

When trying to decide which of Apple’s new phones belongs in your pocket — the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus — you essentially have to answer three questions. How big an iPhone do you want? What kind of camera do you need? And just how much are you willing to pay?

That’s because the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have more in common than they do in contrast. Eager to try out that pressure-sensitive home button? You’ll find it on both new phones. Can’t wait to get your iPhone back in black? Both the 7 and 7 Plus feature the matte black and jet black options (though the latter is restricted to higher capacity versions on both the 7 and 7 Plus).

Eager for a phone with a headphone jack? Uh, perhaps I could interest you in these lower-priced iPhone 6s and 6s Plus phones, because you won’t find a headphone jack on either new iPhone.

So if you’re trying to decide whether the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus is the phone to get, here’s a handy rundown of the differences between the two models.

The PS4 “slim” is actually just called the PS4 as it’s a direct replacement for the original model – although we’re calling it the PS4 Slim for clarity – and is out on September 15.

The PS4 Slim (Left) and PS4 Pro (Right)

Then you’ve got the more powerful, 4K and HDR focused PS4 Pro, which comes complete with improved specs and a revamped design. The Pro will arrive in November.

But to help guide your purchase decisions when they do arrive, we’ve put the two consoles head to head.
