Acer Aspire E 15 (E5-575G-57D4) Review

If you want a Windows laptop that can do it all, you usually have to pay big bucks. However, for $580 ($620 for the Core i7 configuration), Acer’s Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4 delivers solid features, like a colorful HD 1080p display, Core i5 power and a 256GB solid-state drive. Factor in its nearly 11-hour battery life, DVD drive and variety of ports, and this laptop is more than good enough for your work-and-play needs.

Design: Simplistic

The Aspire E 15’s shell is made of plastic, while its semiglossy “obsidian black” lid features a light crosshatched pattern. The deck is sturdy metal, and the bottom has a textured base with rubber grips. Though the notebook is a bit bulky, it feels durable and solid. There was no creaking when I tested this laptop, and the lid opened smoothly.

Infinix Note 4 Pro Hands-on Review : First Impressions

As mentioned in our first impressions of the Note 4, Infinix Mobility launched two smartphones. That other phone is the Note 4 Pro. It bears similar specs as the Note 4 but with a different design, larger battery, and comes with a stylus called the X-Pen.

The Infinix Note 4 Pro is pretty much identical to the Note 4 on the front. It has the same 5.7-inch screen with Full HD resolution. Above it is the receiver, 8MP front camera, and sensor.

Down below are the physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. Located on its left and right sides are capacitive keys for navigation. These are unlit and with no visible indication to immediately find out which one is for Recent Apps (Left) and Back (Right). This can be confusing for first-time users.

Looking at the left side is a card tray either for the SIM or microSD. Also found here are pogo pins for the Smart Cover. Found on the right are another tray, the volume rocker, and the power/lock button.

8 Cheap PC Headsets (Under $35) Ranked Best to Worst

Whether you’re taking an important business meeting or Skyping with a friend, your laptop’s integrated mic won’t give you great sound. But who wants to spend an exorbitant amount of money on a PC headset?

We purchased the best-selling headsets under $35 from Amazon and tested them based on design, comfort and audio quality to pick a winner.

Infinix Note 4 Hands-on Review : First Impressions

Infinix Mobility has launched not one, but two new smartphones in the Philippines and one of them features a 5.7-inch display, MediaTek MT6753 octa-core CPU, 3GB RAM, Android Nougat, and a large 4,300mAh battery. Let’s take a quick look at the Infinix Note 4.

The Note 4, as the name suggests, is basically a phablet thanks to its 5.7-inch screen with Full HD resolution or equal to 386ppi. Placed above it is the receiver, sensor, and the 8MP front camera. Protecting those is a scratch-resistant 2.5D curved glass.

Down below are the physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. Located on its left and right sides are capacitive keys for navigation. These are unlit and with no visible indication to immediately find out which one is for Recent Apps (Left) and Back (Right). This can be confusing for first-time users.

2015-2018 Honda CBR650F Review

Honda’s CBR family is recognized around the world with a storied history, and a range that covers the market from the entry-level on up to the fiery-eyed pegdraggers. The CBR650F is the bike Honda built for riders sitting on the fence between the two extremes. This is an important bracket since many, if not most, riders will wind up staying here for the duration once they graduate up from their entry-level trainer, because it takes a certain sort to want to move up to the stupidfast sector, and not all of us have what it takes (testicular fortitude/deathwish/whatever). With a 649 cc engine and sport suspension, the CBR650F — back for MY18 after a hiatus in 2017 — brings it to the competition in the mid-range sportsbike category.

Design

2018-honda-cbr650f-6_800x0w

Maybe it’s because my taste in bikes developed in the ’80s, but I must confess that generally, whenever I hear the name “Honda,” the first things that pop into my head are “boxy” and even “fugly.” Is it fair? Maybe not entirely, but aesthetics are subjective after all, so it’s with great relief that I say this bike doesn’t fit that mindset in any form or fashion. I find this to be a rather fetching bike with a good blend of angles and curves that seems to have a little something for everyone, regardless of preference, but not enough of either to be off-putting.

Should I buy a Canon EOS 6D Mark II?

Should I buy a Canon EOS 6D Mark II?

Should I buy a Canon EOS 6D Mark II?

The Canon EOS 6D Mark II is a better camera than its predecessor, but how much better? If you own a 6D, is it worth upgrading? And even if you don’t already shoot with a 6D, does the Mark II make a better upgrade, or a more sensible second body than the camera it replaces?

In this article I’ll be attempting to answer that question from the point of view of photographers considering the 6D Mark II either as a replacement, or a supplementary body to one of several Canon and Nikon DSLRs.

I own an EOS 6D – should I upgrade to a 6D Mark II?

Assuming you’ve owned your 6D for a few years and you’ve had decent use out of it, I’d recommend upgrading to the Mark II if you have the funds. While you shouldn’t expect it to be a huge upgrade in terms of image quality for most day to day shooting, the Mark II is noticeably faster and offers a more streamlined user experience.

2017-2018 Honda Grom Review

Introduced in 2014, the Grom from Honda is a compact bike with sportbike styling, two-up capabilities if you don’t mind having to Fred-Flintstone the take-off, has amazing fuel economy, and offers a little something more for folks who might consider a scooter in this size-range. Marketed in other countries as the MSX125, the Motrac M3, and the Skyteam M3, the Grom is a spunky little — little being the operative word here — motorcycle, good for folks new to two wheels or for anyone else who wants a fun ride. It’s not fast, but that’s not the point.

Design

2017-honda-grom-4_800x0w

I know folks call this a monkey bike. I don’t share that opinion. The original monkey bikes were Honda’s Z-series bikes: small, almost toy-like, minibikes from the ’70s and ’80s. They had 50 cc engines, fat five-inch tires and a seat height of about 22 inches. With handlebars that pulled the rider forward and the low seat that splayed the knees out at comical angles, riders were said to look like monkeys atop the little bikes.

Pioneer Rayz Plus review

You’d be forgiven in thinking that the removal of the 3.5mm auxiliary jack from the latest set of Apple devices was a bad idea. After all, the audio jack has existed as the default means to carry audio for the last century while the Lightning Port only has a mere five years under its belt.

But maybe, just maybe, if the $149 (around £115, AU$190) Pioneer Rayz Plus is any indication, the future won’t be so bad.

NpdFxBGAurBCYucTuGtiRQ-650-80

The Pioneer Rayz, one of the first big-name headphones to utilize all the capabilities the iPhone’s lightning port has to offer, is that courageous future Tim Cook pitched us on one short year ago: For those looking for a pair of decent in-ear, Apple-compliant headphones that have roughly hewn noise-cancellation and a few very neat smart features without breaking the bank, the Pioneer Rayz Plus are the drivers for you.

2018 Holden Equinox quick drive review

In 2018, the newest player in the hotly-contested medium SUV segment will be the fully-imported Holden Equinox. Paul Maric sampled a pre-production version to see how it stacks up.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho 2018 Holden Equinox

Holden’s push to create a bustling product range by 2020 continues with the all-new Holden Equinox, which goes on sale locally later this year as a replacement for the ageing Captiva.

As with a raft of Holden’s latest products, a great deal of engineering work has been undertaken locally to ensure this new crop of vehicles rides, handles and performs the way a Holden should.

While the Captiva will remain on sale alongside the five-seat Equinox until early next year when the bigger seven-seat Acadia arrives, the Equinox will burst on to the scene with three engines and a stack of technology and safety features.

Blackview BV7000 Review

Tough and durable are only some of the words that describe the Blackview BV7000 when you first hold it in your hand. With its rugged, tactical design and very grippy texture at the back, the device feels solid as a rock.

Coming from a relatively unknown brand, at least here in the Philippines, Blackview shows that you can get your hands on a high-durability smartphone without leaving a hole in your pocket—but is it worth it? This review takes an in-depth look at the performance, battery life, camera tech and smart features of the Blackview BV7000.

Design and Construction

The BV7000 has a 5-inch Full HD IPS display and though it’s clear and the colors are vibrant, the screen-to-body ratio could be better. However, it does get a Full HD display that has a pixel density of around 440ppi, as well as a 5MP front camera.

Foobot review: Is the indoor air quality monitor any good?

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Foobot

Ever wanted to know how clean the air is in your home? Foobot can do just that, but is it worth the money and will it really make much of a difference?

If there is one killer that people seem to ignore, it is pollution. Maybe it is because there is little you can do about it or because most people are unaware of the dangers, but the problem is rather serious. Serious enough to kill more than 4.5million people prematurely every year.

Given the level of the problem, then, it makes sense to try and improve the situation in your home. One option that lets you do just that is the Foobot Indoor Air Quality Monitor, which was originally crowd-funded using Indiegogo.

So is there much point to the gadget, what exactly can it monitor and is it worth spending £170 on something that looks like a giant air freshener? We answer those questions in our full review, but first a word on setting the thing up.

Amazon Fire 7 (2017) vs Fire HD 8 (2017) : What Should You Buy?

Amazon has updated its $50 Fire 7 and $80 Fire HD 8 tablets for 2017, but despite their price difference, the choice isn’t exactly clear-cut. The two offer the same access to Amazon services, including the Alexa assistant, but they differ in more than a couple categories.

Design

At first glance (and feel), the Fire tablets have only slightly different sizes and weights. Both measure 0.4 inches thick, but the smaller Fire 7 is lighter, weighing 10.4 ounces to the HD 8’s 13 ounces.

LG Smart Security Wireless Camera review: DIY security backed by ADT professional monitoring

This all-in-one home monitor increases security with an extra set of eyes.

The LG Smart Security camera is a great option for those who want affordable professional monitoring. Those interested in strictly DIY security should explore other options.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho LG Smart Security Wireless Camera

The DIY home security movement driven by the proliferation of affordable, easy-to-use wireless cameras was supposed to be a smug nose-thumbing at pricey professional security firms like ADT. So it raised a few eyebrows when LG announced its Smart Security Wireless Camera ($200) would be built around ADT’s new standalone monitoring service.

Unlike most IP security cameras, nothing about the the LG Smart Security Camera’s design reveals the device’s true purpose. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to recognize the 3-inch-tall black cone as a camera at all—you really need to get close enough to spot the 5MP lens sitting behind a square of black plastic near the top. Thanks to its unconventional design, this is a camera you can hide it in plain sight despite its significant girth (2 inches at the base, and 5 inches across the top).

2015-2018 Yamaha XT250 Review

It seems like when God said “Let there be light,” Yamaha was already making the XT250. Okay, maybe not that long ago, but it has been since 1980 and I’ll bet a lot of folks reading this weren’t born yet. In 1982, Rambo rode one inFirst Blood. If it was mean enough to carry Sylvester Stallone, you know it was pretty awesome. With a wide-ratio five-speed and an air-cooled 250 cc engine, the XT250 is a proper little dual-sport machine and with a little more attention to two-up riding than you might expect in an off-road-capable bike.

Design

2018-yamaha-xt250-10_800x0w

Yamaha got a new paint booth in 2016 for the XT250 that carried over into 2017 for a nice Mineral Blue instead of the Team Yamaha Blue/White that it has had since 2014. For 2018, it comes in Sandy Beige. The XT250 has come in some combination of blue and white since 2012 so you have to go all the way back to 2011 to find a red in the mix. I’m glad someone woke up and added not blue.

2016-2018 Yamaha TW200 Review

Fuel-injection haters rejoice. There are still some carbureted options out there for off-road. Spec-wise, the TW200 is the same bike Yamaha has offered for over a decade, but that shouldn’t stop you from taking a look. The TW200 — brought forward for 2018 — with its scrappy little 196 cc engine is a nice learning bike, fully street legal but with that distinctive motocross-style swale seat that says you’re going off-road. On the move, the bike has nice low-end torque and you’ll feel the front end trying to come up when you get even a little twisty. Dual sport, yes, but so much about this bike just begs to be in the dirt.

MSI GS63VR 7RF Stealth Pro Gaming Notebook Review

MSI’s GS63VR Stealth Pro notebook is one of those products that oozes appeal right from the first glance. Packing desktop class hardware into its slim chassis proves the old saying that you cannot have desktop class performance in a laptop form factor is truly dead. While high end gaming notebooks have always been available, they tended to be big and heavy power guzzling behemoths. With the advent of Nvidia’s mobile Pascal GPUs, that is no longer the case. The notebook performance level has changed so much that its generally possible to have ultrabook class machines capable of proper high fps and high detail gaming.

Marantz NR1508 review

When Marantz debuted its slim-line NR receivers way back in 2009, it was reasonable to assume they’d spark a revolution. Why did receivers need to be huge anyway?

That change didn’t quite come, and most receivers are still big and chunky. This year Onkyo and Pioneer did attempt their own slimline units, but neither is as well-built or as powerful as the NR1508 reviewed here.

Marantz is still the original and best, and while little has changed in terms of power or performance, the NR1508 is the most feature-filled example yet. Alongside 4K HDR support on the HDMI ports, it’s also one of the first receivers to include Denon’s HEOS multi-room music system.

2017 CSC Motorcycles TT250 Review

CSC Motorcycles — a west-coast importer for Chongqing Zongshen — brings us a dandy dual-sport bike in the TT250. With a 230 cc engine that offers manageable torque and horsepower, the TT250 gives us Enduro styling in a street-legal dual sport for off-road fun or economical commutes at an amazingly affordable price. It’s a gutsy little Chinese bike that is easy to start and runs quite well, so if your preconceived notion of Chinese bikes is that they’re crap, you might want to take another look.

iHome iAVS1 Bedside Stereo Speaker for Echo Dot Review

ihome-echo-dot-alarm-clock-6

Amazon won’t be content until Alexa is within earshot of us all, and iHome wants to give her a place on the nightstand. The iHome iAVS1 Bedside Stereo Speaker System for the Echo Dot is effectively a dumb clock-speaker with a bay for Amazon’s smart speaker. Pair the two together, and in theory you’ve got the ideal addition to bedtime. At $69.99, though – and that’s before you’ve bought the Echo Dot itself – does iHome do enough?

The Good

It takes longer to peel the various pieces of scratch-protecting plastic off the iAVS1 than it does to install an Echo Dot inside.

Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon first look review : A luxury smartwatch for travellers

LV’s smartwatch debut makes a strong first impression

Tag Heuer has already shown that it is possible to make a luxury smartwatchthat people will want to wear (including us). The Swiss watchmaker proved that it pays to put real thought into what people expect from a Tag watch as well as a smartwatch to make it feel more than just an attractive shell for an operating system. Montblanc, take note.

Louis Vuitton doesn’t have the same watchmaking heritage as Tag, it’s only been making timepieces since 2002. But it knows a thing or two about luxury. So it’s taking everything it knows about what LV lovers have come to expect from the brand and channelled it through its Tambour Horizon smartwatch collection.

Lenovo Miix 320 Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Lenovo Miix 320 Review

An ideal-sized detachable 2-in-1 for kids (or adults with small hands), the Lenovo Miix 320 (starting at $199, $299 as tested) offers better battery life than similarly priced PCs, as well as decent performance, a vivid display and solid audio. As you might expect from a 10.1-inch laptop, this machine’s keyboard is fairly cramped. But once you get past that — and younger users may not even notice it — the Miix 320 a very good budget machine.

Design

Roku vs. Apple TV vs. Chromecast vs. Amazon Fire TV vs. Android TV: Which streamer should you buy?

Nokia 5 review

Of the three new Nokia smartphones unveiled at MWC 2017 (along with the rebooted Nokia 3310), the Nokia 5 sits most awkwardly, sandwiched as it is between the better-equipped Nokia 6 and eye-catchingly cheap Nokia 3.

It’s not that it’s a bad phone, but more that its bigger brother doesn’t cost that much more, so it would be easy to chuck in the few extra bucks for the 6 – or, if you’re really looking to save the pennies, you might be better off with the 3.

5 things you need to know about the 2017 BMW 540i xDrive

A lot of what you’ll read about BMW’s newest 5 Series sedan will devote sizable column inches to lamenting the past – that is to say, the bygone era when BMW cared a little bit more about crossing the finish line first than coddling comfort. Those days are gone, however, as evidenced not just by the 2017 BMW 540i xDrive I drove for a week, but also when examining almost every other model in the automaker’s Byzantine line-up.

Does this truly matter? From a business perspective the answer is a resounding ‘no,’ as the German automaker continues to post serious profits and reap the rewards of its diversification effort that sees SUVs command more attention than previously-nimble sport sedans.

Netgear Arlo review: Keeping a close eye on home

The inevitable deluge of smart home devices has covered three main categories: lighting, heating and home cameras. Whether you’re looking for a security system, or just a way to keep an eye on what’s going on at home, connected cameras are available in abundance.

2017 Hyundai Ioniq Electric Review

The advent of the Chevrolet Bolt and upcoming Tesla Model 3 points to a new era of practical, high-range, mass-market electric vehicles. Although the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Electric’s EPA range of 124 miles falls far short of the 200-plus-mile benchmark set by those competitors, I never felt range anxiety while driving it.

2017_hyundai_ioniq_interior_0008-889x499

In fact, the Ioniq Electric outperformed its own range estimations by a considerable margin, and actually proved an engaging car to drive.

Hyundai spawned triplets with its Ioniq model, offering this midsize hatchback as a gasoline-electric hybrid, electric and a plug-in hybrid, the latter due next year. The Ioniq Electric, as the name suggests, relies on a pure-electric drivetrain combining a 28-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack and 88-kilowatt motor turning the front wheels.
