Xiaomi Mi Notebook 13.3″ Unboxing & First Impressions Review

Image result for Xiaomi Mi Notebook 13.3″

This is the larger and more powerful 13.3″ Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air. It’s powered by a Core i5 6200U,  8gb of DDR4 clocked to 2133Mhz, 256GB Samsung NVMe SSD and Nvidia 940MX GPU with 1GB of DDR5 ram for 3D. It’s got switchable graphics so depending on what you’re doing it will use the Nvidia GPU or Intel 520 iGPU.

[su_youtube url=”https://youtu.be/tZ38EoHQBz0″]

The build is just like the 12.5″ version very good. The keyboard is the same only a little wider and the typing experience just as good. It comes with Windows 10 Home Chinese single OS licence, and if you install English there is still Chinese present. I’ve had to do a full reinstall. So you’ll need to factor in getting a Windows 10 key.

I bought my unit from GearBest here. I almost used Aliexpress but they hadn’t shipped it yet, so canceled my order. And unfortunately, Banggood only offer EMS. Which is no good for me, it would take weeks to arrive as Spanish customs get hold of everything labeled as a notebook and EMS. (Correos + ADP Postales these guys take 3 weeks to customs clear anything!)

Apple iPhone 7 vs iPhone 7 Plus: What’s the difference?

Apple announced two new iPhones at an event in September, comprising the iPhone 7 and the larger iPhone 7 Plus.

In previous years, the two iPhones – the standard and the Plus – have been almost identical aside from their physical size and the inclusion of optical image stabilisation on one and not the other, but this year the difference is, well, different.

Which iPhone 7 model should you choose? Here is how the standard iPhone 7 compares to the iPhone 7 Plus and what that difference now is.

Chuwi Hi10 Pro Unboxing & First Look (A HiBook With Remix & Windows) Review

No surprises here. It’s just like the Hibook, exactly the same specs. Just instead of Android 5.1, it has Remix OS 2.0. However, it’s better, due to one thing. The USB Type-C port is working at USB 3.0 speeds unlike my first batch HiBook I unboxed which only worked at USB 2.0 speeds.

[su_youtube url=”https://youtu.be/LeD_MNG7FUY”]

Sorry about the video focus in some parts, my manual focus was off on the lower half of the screen. I’m still getting use to my new Sony A6300 camera.

Laurent Ferrier Galet Classic Square Sector Dial Tourbillon Double Spiral Watch Hands-On

Laurent Ferrier has got to be one of the most interesting independent watchmakers out there for more than one reason. The man is a veteran in the industry, having worked for some 37 years at Patek Philippe before starting his eponymous watch brand. During that time, he dabbled in amateur racing and was a pretty accomplished in that field as well. In 1979, he raced in the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans and came in third in his class, behind a certain Mr. Paul Newman. And one of the loveliest watches that he makes today is the Laurent Ferrier Galet Classic Square Sector Dial Tourbillon Double Spiral watch. Why do I think it’s so great? Read on and I will tell you.

Audio-Technica ATH-SR5BT review

Audiophiles typically shun wireless headphones because of poor sound quality. However, Bluetooth audio has improved tremendously over the years. There are now plenty of wireless headphones that can please the music enthusiast, with Hi-Res Audio support being more and more prevalent.

For the unfamiliar, the Hi-Res Audio label you see on the box means a headphone must meet certain criteria to be able to play higher than CD-quality music. This means a headphone must be able to decode and playback music that’s 24 bit/96 kHz and above. (That’s actually a cut above CDs, which are recorded at 16 bit/44.1 kHz.)

On paper, Audio-Technica ATH-SR5BT is an impressive wireless headphone with a frequency response of 5-40,000 Hz, meaning that pretty much no note goes unheard. It also lasts a stunning 38 hours on a charge so you can go days, if not weeks, without charging them.

7 Old Features that are New to the iPhone 7

Apple announced the new iPhone 7 and along with it is a long list of new features for their device. As expected, Apple received a mixed bag of reactions. While the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus came with a new design, it wasn’t really that new considering the fact that the size, dimensions and form factors were the same as the iPhone 6S. Even the display sizes and screen resolutions were the same.

Yet, Apple is proud to introduce a lot of new features on the iPhone 7. So, we list them down below and talk a little bit more about them. While it’s true that these features are new to the iPhone, it’s not really something new that we haven’t seen in other smartphones as far back as 4 years ago.

Maui 5 by LD Systems Video Review

LD Systems recently released the Maui 5 in the Philippines and we took it out for a spin. The Maui 5 is a portable column speaker PA system which come with a four-channel mixer and Bluetooth connectivity.

Image result for Maui 5 by LD Systems

If you’re not familiar with these types of speakers, the Maui 5 is ideal for PA-type scenarios where you need a mix of music playback, instrument input for the likes of a guitar or keyboard and microphone.

The Maui 5 comes with a 4-piece system — the basement where the subwoofer is housed, a single mids that plugs on top of the basement, and two spacers that allows you to adjust the height of the speaker to your liking.

Hands on: Fujitsu Lifebook S936 review

Launched at the beginning of 2016, the Lifebook S936 sits, together with the U904, in a category that Fujitsu describes as notebooks with “ultimate features and stylish design”, destined for professionals on the move looking for products that combine looks with substance.

Prosaically though, it’s essentially a more refined version of the Lifebook E736that we reviewed not so long ago.

As expected from a laptop for which the cheapest version will set you back about £1,000 (around $1,340, AU$1,740), this is a model that looks and feels premium. Its main rivals include the ThinkPad T460s series, the Dell Latitude E7440 and the HP Elitebook 1040 G3.

fujitsu-2-650-80

The S936 uses the same magnesium/aluminium combination for its chassis but manages to keep the weight down to only 1.19kg (our model weighed in at 1.42kg thanks to an optical drive and the touch display).

ASUS Zenfone 3 Max Review

Image result for asus zenfone 3 max

Here it is! The cheapest variant of the new Zenfone 3 family. It’s the one that’s slated to give users long-lasting battery in the lower-midrange department. Is the Zenfone 3 Maxthe phone you’d want to take on long road trips or anywhere far from a power socket? Here’s our review.

Design and Construction

Let’s start with the physical aspect. The Zenfone 3 Max now has a smaller display compared to its predecessor at just 5.2-inches but still retains an HD resolution. There’s a 5MP selfie camera above along with the earpiece and necessary sensors. Unlike its predecessor, it now uses onscreen buttons for UI navigation.

TomTom Via 62 review: Gets you there, but not without a hiccup

Of all TomTom’s satnav offerings, the Via appears to make the most sense. It offers Traffic, meaning it’s a full head and shoulders above the entry-level Start model, but it’s slimmer and much more affordable than the Go models.

Available in two sizes: on review here is the 62, meaning it offers a 6-inch display; the 52, following logic, offers a 5-inch display and comes in at £20/$30 cheaper, although the feature set is otherwise identical.

So it sounds like a winner. But is this latest TomTom PND the one to choose?

2016 DUCATI XDIAVEL REVIEW

The world loves to hybridize. Every good thing is at some point successfully (or not) blended with something else for a new creation. If a toaster means crispy and an oven means thoroughly cooked, then a toaster oven is sheer brilliance.

This logic is behind some incredible product and technology innovations, but it doesn’t always work out. It seems like 80 percent of Shark Tank pitches are ill-conceived commodity combos, while only a handful have broad appeal.

So when Ducati introduced its XDiavel, promising cruiser ride quality and sport bike performance, more than a few eyebrows were raised. But the Italian motorcycle manufacturer tends not to act without confidence, and its products can hardly be called half-baked. This may just be a hybrid niche worth filling.

Tutima M2 Watch Review

Tutima watches had a very proud moment in 1984 when their timepieces were chosen as the official timepieces of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces in Europe. This didn’t happen because the chaps in Germany greased the right palms, but rather because their efforts paid off when it came to the stringent requirements set forth by any military organization in regard to both functionality and durability.

[su_youtube url=”https://youtu.be/dO_cPgzfUmQ”]

The Tutima M2 collection is the natural ancestor of the original 1980s military watches that helped define the personality of the brand. The company began their focus on military and professional watches when they started to produce flieger (aviator) pieces in the 1940s. If you like a more vintage look in a sports watch, then I recommend you check out the Tutima Grand Flieger collection.

Sony XDR-V1BTD review

If small and portable top your radio wishlist, the Sony V1BTD ticks both boxes. Standing just 17cm tall, there aren’t many places this radio won’t squeeze into, especially when its rechargeable battery lets it go wire free for up to 25 hours.

That means it’s game for the garden or a picnic in your local park, its battery pack hidden inside its slender frame with no extra bits to buy.

As well as DAB and FM radio, the V1BTD packs Bluetooth and NFC, with an aux in for connecting laptops, smartphones or tablets, and a headphone out for private listening.

Philips AE8000 review

Build

However, when you realise that the black wood effect is actually plastic, it’s quite disappointing. Especially when the Pure Evoke D2 shows you can build good quality real-wood radios for less than £100/$150.

The buttons are well made, and though they feel a bit knobbly, they have a nice, strong resistance.

While you can use the front panel’s button to go through the menus for network set-up, software updates and tuning, it’s much easier using the included remote – also plastic.

The LCD display is easy to read, with enough space to see the name of the artist and track playing below the station name when you’re in DAB and internet radio mode.

Features

Internet radio is the AE8000’s top feature, giving you access to hundreds of stations on top of the standard FM and DAB stations. You get two antennae at the back of the radio: one for radio, one for connecting to the internet.

Zeiss launches three new Milvus manual-focus primes

Fancy a new manual-focus prime lens for your Canon EF-mount or Nikon F-mount camera? If so, Zeiss has several new options for you to choose from in its Milvus lens line!

The metal-bodied Zeiss Milvus 2.8/15, Milvus 2.8/18 and Milvus 2/135 are intended for both still and video use, and each features a weather-sealed design to protect against dust and splashes. Video-friendly features include a long focus throw and on Nikon F-mount variants, a de-click function that provides an optional, infinitely variable aperture. The new lenses are also compatible with follow-focus courtesy of Zeiss’ Lens Gears accessories.

Zeiss suggests that the lenses should resolve sufficient detail for “most modern video standards of 6K and higher”, and the company’s T* coating is included for reduced ghosting and better resistance to flare. All three optics have a full-frame friendly 43mm image circle.

Zenfone 3 Max Battery Life Test vs. Zenfone Max vs. Zenfone 3 Line-up

Asus has positioned the Zenfone 3 Max as their budget smartphone with an extra generous serving of battery so it’s only natural that people will expect it to have really long battery life. This was demonstrated by the first Zenfone Max which got a whopping 19 hours and 59 minutes under our standard PC Mark Battery Test.

zenfone3-max-3

We expected the same performance with the Zenfone 3 Max although not as long as the original one due to the lower battery capacity of 4,100mAh.

The results are both surprising and disappointing. The Zenfone 3 Max got a score of 10 hours and 49 minutes. While this score can be considered pretty good for a typical handset, it’s far below the original performance of the older Zenfone Max. We verified this by also running our standard video loop test and got 12 hours and 30 minutes which is pretty much within the range from the PC Mark Battery test. The older Zenfone Max got 26 hours and 32 minutes on that same video loop test.

Sony PlayStation 4 Slim review

Have you heard? There’s a new PlayStation! It’s loads more powerful! It plays games in 4K! And… this isn’t it!

Yep, I hate to break it to you, folks – but this might not be the PlayStation you’re looking for. If you’re after the ultimate in console excellence, it’s probably the PS4 Pro, due out on 10 November.

But on the other hand, perhaps this – the PS4 Slim – actually is the PlayStation you’re looking for. It is, after all, the PS4 in its most affordable, most svelte and (spoiler alert) quietest form. And if you’ve not got a 4K TV or are a gamer of a more casual persuasion that should be a very tempting recipe.

So is the PS4 Slim as tasty as it sounds? To drag this food analogy to its painful conclusion, let’s say it’s just a pinch of seasoning short of winning Masterchef.

FINSix Dart Charger Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho dart the world's smallest laptop adapter

Carrying tech when I travel makes for a heavy bag, so I’m always looking for lighter gadgets to shave off some weight. One area you might not think of is your laptop’s power brick. The $99 FINsix Dart is the tiniest universal laptop charger we’ve seen, though a slightly larger competitor offers a lot more features for the same price.

Design

I have to admit: The FINsix Dart is kind of cute. It’s a 0.2-pound, 3.4 x 1.2 x 1-inch (including prongs), 65-watt laptop power brick that can go just about anywhere. Ours came in silver, but the Dart is also available in gunmetal, blue, orange and magenta. The FINsix logo can be found right above the prongs, but the charger is otherwise very plain, with a rectangular design and rounded corners.Despite its petite size, the Dart can charge a laptop and another device (smartphone, tablet). The USB port is in a strange place, with an adapter attached to its cord.

Wareable big test : 5 360-degree cameras go head-to-head

Photography and videography are usually all about careful framing before taking the shot. This new breed of 360-degree cameras flips that on its head, capturing the view in all directions and allowing the viewer to pick their angle later.

There are some big, pro-level rigs on offer such as theGoPro Omni, but 360-degree video and photos aren’t just for the pros.

Big test: 360 degree cameras rated

The process used to involve manually stitching together shots in expensive specialist software, combining shots from a number of separate cameras. While it’s possible to take that approach if you want to be able to fine tune results, the beauty of these consumer 360-degree cameras is that they do most of the work for you.

The five cameras in this lineup, while not exactly budget options, mean that you can put together your own spherical world views (along with a compatible smartphone). We find out which one is the best one to take out and about.

Intex Aqua Secure: Detailed Review

Budget smartphones have evolved very rapidly over the past three to four years. I am talking, not only about performance, but the features they are bringing to the table. Especially, better cameras and security features such as fingerprint scanners. Talking of fingerprint scanners, this technology has been around for quite some time now, but it has trickled down to the budget smartphone segment quite recently. Intex has made the technology even more accessible and affordable with the Intex Aqua Secure smartphone. The rather small phone(screen size is 4.5-inch) offers a fingerprint scanner at its back, and costs approximately Rs. 6,000. It is now the cheapest smartphone to offer a fingerprint scanner, but should you spend your money on it? Let’s take the phone through its paces to find out.

Sony launches duo of 4K, HD action cameras with higher-quality, better-stabilized Zeiss lenses

Move over, GoPro: Sony has just stepped even further into the action camera giant’s territory with the launch of two new Sony Action Cam models offering a choice of either 4K or HD capture along with game-changing image stabilization capabilities. Slated to ship in late September 2016, the Sony FDR-X3000 and HDR-AS300 inherit their newly-uprated Balanced Optical SteadyShot image stabilization technology from the company’s Handycam camcorder series.

Much is shared between the Sony X3000 and AS300 Action Cams, but clearly Balanced Optical SteadyShot is the big news, so let’s start there. The technology made its debut in early 2012 with the Handycam HDR-CX760V, and has been widely lauded for providing steadier footage than is offered by competing stabilization techniques. Instead of simply moving individual lens elements, the image sensor, or perhaps a combination of the two to steady motion from camera shake, Balanced Optical SteadyShot moves the entire optical block (that is to say, the whole lens and the sensor which sits behind it). Now, the technology arrives in both new Action Cam models for the first time, and it’s arguably of even more importance here, given the reputation of action camera footage for being nausea-inducingly shaky.

Plantronics BackBeat GO 3 Quick Review

Back in June, Plantronics launched their latest audio products in the country, and one of them is the BackBeat GO 3 Sweatproof Wireless Earbuds. It is aimed at music lovers with an active lifestyle. Is it worth getting, let’s find out.

The Plantronics BackBeat GO 3 sports the usual design concept like most fitness-centric earbuds – there’s the silicon tips, ear wings, in-line mic and controls, and an almost flat cable.

Almost everything you see on the device’s exterior is made of plastic, but with different finishes. The housing is glossy with marble finish, while the rest of the body is rubber-like, especially the ear wings.

The 29 best games for the new Apple TV

Games! That was what got us excited when we heard the new Apple TV would have third-party apps. It’d be like a console, only tiny, and with an Apple logo stamped on top. Hurrah!

Only when we reviewed the thing, we discovered the Siri Remote was sub-optimal for such activities. Fortunately, the best devs wrestled it into submission, resulting in a selection of superb games.

Our list combines titles designed for immediacy and fun with those offering a bit more depth. And, by the way, we’ve actually sat and tested all of these (and a whole bunch of others that didn’t make the grade), so you can be confident each one you buy will be money well spent.

Note: Universal titles can be bought on another device or in iTunes, and they’ll end up in your Purchased tab in the Apple TV App Store app. But ‘Apple TV only’ games must be purchased in said app. If you don’t see one we’ve listed right away, use the search.

Sony Xperia XZ Review

Hate iPhones? Think Samsungs are overrated? We can’t say we agree with you, but all the same, today we have an alternative for your delectation. Sony may not sell as many mobile phones as it used to, but (despite earlier signs to the contrary) it’s not given up. Meet the Sony Xperia XZ.

This is Sony’s new flagship phone (for at least the next six months), and the first signs are positive. It’s not massive, it doesn’t have a “look at me” 4K screen like the Z5 Premium, and it’s more than a little pretty.

Would we buy it instead of a Samsung Galaxy S7? Perhaps not. But while Sony seems to be treading water a bit, never before has water been trodden in such style.

We’ve been looking at a pre-release version of the XZ, and while we’re told this an essentially final handset, some software elements could change a little before the official launch. We’ll update this review if so.

Got that minor caveat? Good. Let’s begin.
