How Does the GMC Sierra’s CarbonPro Bed Compare vs. the Ford F-150’s Aluminum Bed?

Which material is best for a pickup bed?

Pickup trucks make serious cash for their makers, who then pour a lot of that money back into development of future products in search of new technology and fresh grenades to lob at their competition. In 2015, Ford launched its thirteenth-generation F-150 with an aluminum bed and body panels. This summer, GMC will introduce its CarbonPro carbon-fiber bed in the 2019 Sierra. We’ve compared the specs and claimed advantages of the two beds. Decide for yourself who should come out on top of the pickup wars.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 vs GTX 1050 Ti – Turing vs Pascal, the showdown

Since the battle between NVIDIA’s new Turing non-RTX GPU – the GeForce GTX 1650 and the Pascal GeForce GTX 1050 wasn’t really competitive, it is time for something bigger. Let’s give the GTX 1650 a more worthy contender – the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. It is still the second most used graphics card in Steam. Its popularity comes from the superb price/performance ratio it offers. Without further ado, let’s get inside this article.

The 2020 Kia Telluride Is Set to Win Big in the Three-Row SUV Segment

This well-executed SUV for the masses has enough luxury to to meaningfully shift current perceptions of the Kia brand.

Kia is no newcomer to the three-row-utility-vehicle market, nor is it a stranger to spinning the wheel of fortune. When its Borrego launched in 2008, it was an ill-timed wager on the body-on-frame, three-row SUV. Faced with soaring fuel prices, the Great Recession, and a shift to car-based crossovers, the star-crossed ute died after just one model year and 22,663 U.S. sales. That it looked like a copyright-dodging SUV avatar didn’t help.

Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-54) review – gaming on the budget just got better

Soon after we showed you our views on the Acer Nitro 7 (AN715-51) – there was a new arrival in the office. It is the cheaper of the bunch – the Nitro 5 (AN515-54). In contrast to its brother, it is entirely made out of plastic and has the red detail on the hinge assembly – typically for a Nitro 5 laptop. While, the differences with the Nitro 7 end with the lack of SD card reader and a slower Type-C connection, we expect it to be the laptop, that is going to bring more revenue to the manufacturer.

It is going to feature the latest and greatest Core i5-9300H and Core i7-9850H from Intel and on the GPU side, you can choose from NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 and GTX1660 Ti, as of the moment of writing this review. We expect it to compete with Lenovo Legion Y540, ASUS TUF FX505 and Dell G5 15 5590.

Best outdoor speakers of 2019 : Get outside more.

When you’re listening to music inside the house, there are certain aspects of a speaker you don’t have to worry about. For example, unless you’re bringing it into the shower with you, chances are you’re not too concerned about whether or not the speaker is waterproof. How loud a speaker gets without distorting might not be an issue either, because in close quarters a speaker probably won’t be on max volume most of the time unless you’re having a party. However, all of that changes when you take it outside. Things that don’t matter as much in the house suddenly become a lot more important. So, what are the best outdoor speakers?

Yesterday we showed you the battle between the former and the GTX 1060 – beefed up version of the GTX 1060 Max-Q. Sony a6400 vs Fujifilm X-T30: Which is best for you?

Introduction

The Sony a6400 and Fujifilm X-T30 are the two company’s mid-priced mirrorless cameras. They’re 4K-capable cameras with similar resolution APS-C sensors: 24MP on the Sony, 26MP on the Fujifilm.

Both build on the legacies of Gold Award-winning predecessors, which helps establish them as presumed big hitters. And, having tested both cameras extensively, this is a fair assumption: they’re both class-leading cameras. Chris and Jordan from DPReview TV have already looked at their various strengths and weaknesses, so we’re going to look at how they compare for different types of photography.

Nissan GT-R wings it

How much wing is too much wing? This 1600hp beast generates divine downforce

It may not fit into mainstream ideals of ‘attractiveness’ (or what is road legal), but this incredible Batmobile-ish hill climb Nissan GT-R race car from South Africa shows what can be achieved if you have a vision.

Visionary thinking is clearly part of the package here, but the driver’s vision will be occluded by the sizable front and rear wings, designed to generate extreme levels of downforce.

Which Amazon Kindle to buy? Choosing the one that suits you best

Books aren’t dead. Just ask Amazon, which has seen their collection of e-books grow consistently over the past two years. The e-book market today is pretty well-associated with Amazon’s Kindle e-readers. It’s one of the best ways to read these digital books and probably the option with the fewest distractions.

The Kindle range is a confusing one, however. Devices look very similar and have unapparent features that go beyond just reading plain text. Each step up offers meaningful upgrades that may suit the kind of reader you are. So here is the lineup:

It would seem that Samsung aimed to remove certain Galaxy Fold articles and features from the web this week. Since we are a news publication that aims to benefit not only readers, but discerning consumers and early adopters of new technology, it’s become time to have a chat. Is it sensible to attempt to control public perception of the Samsung Galaxy Fold at this moment in history? And what’ll it mean if Samsung succeeds?

Mee Audio M6 Pro 2nd Generation review: ‘Professional’ in-ear headphones at an entry-level price

You won’t see many musicians playing Wembley Arena with £40 in-ear monitors (IEMs) in their ears, but by labelling its latest pair of earphones, the M6 Pro 2nd Generations, as ‘professional monitor earphones’, Mee Audio is aiming them squarely at musical types. With a budget price tag of just £40, the company will also hope that these in-ears have a wider appeal too.

Netgear XR700 Gaming Router Review

The very best Router you can buy? But £449…..

What is the Netgear XR700 Gaming Router?

Back in November 2018, we reviewed Netgear’s XR500 Pro Gaming Router. Priced then at £240, and available for a little less now, it offered a huge range of features, performed well across the board but ultimately was no better as far as connection, ping and Wi-Fi performance were concerned than our humble BT HomeHub, although it clearly offered significantly more control and features. When most people are perfectly happy with their free ISP provided router, it is quite a stretch to spend £240 on a replacement.

Viltrox announces 85mm F1.8 autofocus lens for Sony E-mount cameras

Chinese camera accessory manufacturer Viltrox has announced a new 85mm F1.8 autofocus lens for Sony E-mount camera systems.

The lens, which has an aperture range of F1.8 to F16, is designed for full-frame Sony cameras, but also works as a 127.5mm equivalent on APS-C cameras. It’s constructed of ten elements in seven groups, including one extra-low dispersion element and four specialty elements made from ‘highly transparent glass,’ which Viltrox says reduces aberrations and improves color rendering.

HP Chromebook 14 (AMD) Review

HP’s Chromebook 14 is one of the first Chromebooks to sport an AMD CPU, but that doesn’t make it one of the best. The HP Chromebook 14 ($329; starting at $269) has a dull 14-inch display, poor battery life, distorted speakers and, despite its sluggish performance, runs really warm. Apart from its 1080p touch-screen panel and comfortable keyboard, the HP Chromebook 14 is quite underwhelming. There are better Chromebooks for a similar price.

The Honda Rugged Open Air Vehicle Concept Is a Ridgeline Pickup for Mad Max

Random thoughts race through my mind as I climb over the roll cage and strap in behind the wheel of Honda’s Rugged Open Air Vehicle (ROAV) concept. Why aren’t all desert racers convertibles? What have I done to deserve this bounty? Who invented liquid soap and why?

This radically modified Honda Ridgeline mid-size pickup, which debuted at last year’s SEMA show, is far from a Baja 1000-ready trophy truck, but the vibe is there.

Razer BlackWidow Elite review: Finally, Razer’s flagship keyboard gets media controls

My kingdom for dedicated volume controls.

At some point we gave up reviewing every BlackWidow keyboard to come along. It’s not that the BlackWidow was bad or anything, but Razer was content with the design and…well, there’s only so many times you can review what’s basically the exact same device. I don’t know how phone reviewers do it, honestly, and I say that as someone who’s paid to find minute distinctions among different PC peripherals. Even by my standards, Razer was resting on its laurels.

Olympus E-M1X vs Nikon D5: shooting tennis

The Olympus E-M1X sits in a curious spot in the market: it’s got the speed, rugged build-quality and dual-grip design of a full-frame Nikon D5 or a Canon EOS-1D X II, but sports a smaller Four Thirds chip. The smaller sensor is reflected in a smaller price tag; at $3000, it’s half the price of the D5 and $2500 less than the 1D X II. That’s a lot of savings that could be put toward high quality glass. But the D5 and 1D X II are sports cameras with long lineages, whereas the E-M1X is Olympus’ first crack at a truly sports-oriented camera. So can it compete? To find out we pitted it against the D5 at a University of Washington tennis match.

Yamaha MusicCast 50 Review

Yamaha’s MusicCast 50 is a higher-end multiroom speaker that’s an alternative to the Sonos Play:5

What is the Yamaha MusicCast 50?

The Yamaha MusicCast 50 is a higher-end multiroom speaker, an alternative to the Sonos Play:5. Although striking, it isn’t too domineering. Plus, it’s more flexible than some and sounds significantly better than the smaller MusicCast 20. A low-profile design also makes it better-suited for use in smaller rooms than many rivals.

The 2019 BMW M5 Competition Is the New M5 You Want

A marginally better M5 is still a better M5.
