2019 Yamaha Niken GT Review: Motorcycling Redefined

We have tested hundreds of motorcycles at Ultimate Motorcycling, and it is rare that we test something that is inarguably revolutionary and revelatory. The 2019 Yamaha Niken GT fits that bill. Yes, it is polarizing, as it disrupts our ideas of what a motorcycle is and should be. However, the proof of concept is in the riding, and that is what we did—we rode it.

1. The 2019 Yamaha Niken GT is best described as a motorcycle with two front wheels. While you can call it a trike or a three-wheeler, that discounts the primary motivator of the Niken GT—it leans like a motorcycle, rather than staying upright as we expect from a three-wheeled vehicle. Because it leans into turns, has a handlebar, and traditional seating, we consider the Niken GT to be fully a motorcycle—one that just happens to have two front wheels steering it.

Lenovo Legion Y740 (17-inch) (2019) Review

The Lenovo Legion Y740 is a mixed bag. On one hand, its $2,489 price (starting at $1,839) will get you strong Intel Core i7 and Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q performance, a decently comfortable keyboard, and a solid pair of speakers. But on the other hand, its display is rather dim, the battery life is subpar and the deck flexes like there’s no tomorrow. Overall, the Legion Y740 is a solid pick if all you’re concerned about is performance, but you could do better for the money.

Galaxy Note 10 might not need a front camera

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10’s rumored to roll with a camera embedded in its stylus – which in turn is embedded in its body. But does Samsung really need to go to this extent just to keep the front-facing camera in play? When it comes to persisting reasons for the existence of the front-facing camera on the Galaxy Note, could it be that Samsung’s ready to just do away with the camera altogether?

Arteck 2.4G Wireless Stainless Steel Keyboard review: A sleek alternative to your desktop slab

Thin, light, and durable, this keyboard replacement provides a comfortable, quiet typing experience.

The Arteck 2.4G Wireless Stainless Steel Keyboard (model HW192) makes it easy to upgrade your typing experience with a roomy layout, quiet keys, and a sleek design.

The full-size keyboard measures 16.9 x 4.9 x 0.6 inches and weighs just under a pound. Despite its name, only the bottom half of the chassis is stainless steel—the top half and keys are plastic—but this gives it a feeling of durability missing from most thin-and-light keyboards. That means you can get away with tossing in your laptop bag now and then, even though it’s designed primarily for desktops.

Why we write about phones you can’t buy

Today we’re talking about phones made in China, for China, for India, and for almost any country other than the USA. What I’m talking about is SlashGear’s current news feed covering smartphones that might never be released for general sale inside the United States. Today if you’ve got about four minutes I’d like to tell you three reasons why we don’t just write about phones by and for people in the United States.

1. China makes weird phones

I like to write about things that are offbeat, strange, or otherwise unique. Because of this, Asia-based brands like Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, and others really make me sit up and pay attention.

What is the Corsair K83 Wireless Keyboard?

If you’ve glanced at the Corsair K83 Wireless Keyboard hoping for a slice of portable gaming nirvana, you’re well and truly out of luck. There’s a certain price drop in effect right now for the Galaxy S10 – and some of our readers have suggested it’s pretty significant. Huawei’s new Watch GT models are not functionally different from the original it debuted in 2018, but the decision to offer a smaller size may prove to be a good one. The Watch GT now comes in two sizes — a 46mm Active case and a 42mm Elegant case.

Honda CR-V Hybrid review: Quietly unconventional

Back in 1999 Honda launched a small, quirky coupe known as the Insight. It was the first hybrid car to officially be sold in the UK, beating the Toyota Prius to our shores by a matter of months. Since then, most of the Honda range has received the hybrid treatment at one stage or another, so it’s perhaps surprising that we’ve had to wait so long for the company’s first hybrid SUV.

Huawei P30 vs. Galaxy S10 vs. Pixel 3: Cameras, battery and all the specs

It’s shaping up to be an Android powerhouse designed to challenge the Galaxy S10 and Google’s Pixel 3 on nearly every front that matters: screen size, battery life and — most important of all — the cameras. Razer Blade Advanced (RTX 2060) review

When my PC gaming neighbor announced that he had just purchased a new gaming laptop, I was somewhat annoyed he hadn’t come to me for laptop shopping advice. Then he told me he had gotten the new RTX 2060 version of the Razer Blade, and I couldn’t be all that put out, because that’s very likely what I would have recommended in the first place.

2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE450 review

From the moment I first get in and adjust the driver’s seat in the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE450, I know this SUV is something special. The large center screen prompts me to enter my height, and after doing so, the seat, steering wheel and pedals move on their own, putting me in the perfect seating position. That’s one heck of a first impression.

How to speed up Xiaomi smartphone and fix its software problem

Although the technology used to manufacture a Xiaomi smartphone is so advanced, we still cannot escape from multiple failures or software errors that may present our device. And that is why, regardless if they are of the latest generation or if they have some time in the market, at some point, the mobile could suffer issues like reboot loop, will not turn on, frozen, black/blank screen, etc. At first, you could take it to a technician, but if this is not an option, we recommend ReiBoot for Android.

First look: Huawei Watch GT Active and Elegant Editions bring the style

New Lite OS watches are now made for men and women

It’s fair to say that the Huawei Watch GT took us surprise. We’d been pining for a new Wear OS smartwatch from the Chinese tech giant for some time, and then instead of giving us one it decided to break away from its Wear OS shackles and do something entirely on it own.

All-new small SUV to be named Hyundai Venue

Hyundai has given a name to its smallest, cheapest SUV yet: Venue.

The Hyundai Venue will be positioned below the Kona, which is currently priced from $23,500, in the South Korean brand’s Australian SUV line-up when it arrives in local showrooms later this year.

The entry-level SUV will be unveiled in full at the New York motor show on April 17. Until then, we’ll have to make do with a single image of the tailgate-mounted V-E-N-U-E badge.

Apple iPad Air 2019 review: happy medium

There sure are a lot of different iPads now. Last week’s announcement of a new iPad Air and iPad mini means that Apple’s tablet lineup includes five different screen sizes, each of which has its own storage or LTE options on top of that. Apple has an iPad at price points that range from $329 for a basic iPad all the way up to (an absurd) $1,899 for a maxed-out 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

If you’re trying to choose among them, you might think that’s too many iPads, but I think there’s a surprising amount of coherency to the lineup. More importantly, there’s a clear standout best choice for people looking to get more than the basics without spending iPad Pro prices. That choice, if you haven’t guessed, is the new iPad Air.

Best Phones of 2019 – Updates (March 2019)

The new Galaxy S10 phones add another chapter to the long-running battle between Samsung and Apple for best phone. And though we’re very impressed with what we’ve seen from the S10 so far, Apple retains its edge over the competition with the iPhone XS Max.

With a 6.5-inch OLED screen crammed into a phone that’s not much larger than the iPhone 8 Plus, the XS Max commands a staggering $1,099, but in return you get improved cameras and a processor that blows away many its rivals.

Revel Concerta 2 M16 Standmount Speaker Review : The unquiet American

What is the Concerta2 M16?

The Revel Concerta2 M16 is a two way standmount speaker that pitches into the very competitive £1,000 speaker market. The design is outwardly conventional and, in some regards this is a surprise. Revel is an American brand and that usually means that each brand comes with a distinctive calling card, be it the Planar Magnetic arrangements of Magnepan, the dipoles of Vandersteen or the obsessive attention to detail that marks out a Wilson. The Revel by contrast looks like something that could just as easily be a European design – which, given where the bulk of people reading this live, might not be a bad thing.
