2017 Audi A4 allroad First Drive: Wunderwagon

For a nation so addicted to crossovers and SUVs, it’s perverse that Audi had to get sneaky to make America swallow its wagon medicine. The 2017 Audi A4 allroad keeps to the Avant-with-attitude ethos of previous generations, but introduces a brand new quattro all-wheel drive system that the German automaker expects to go down very well among what has traditionally been a fairly niche allroad audience.

To my – admittedly wagon-biased – eyes it’s one of the most handsome models in Audi’s current stable. Ground clearance may only have increased 34mm over the 2017 A4 sedan, a combination of taller suspension and higher profile tires, but factor in the more muscular bodywork, the vertical chrome grill slats, and the higher roof rails, and you have a car that visually straddles the segments between A-series sedan and Q-series SUV.

SteelSeries Rival 500 Review — Pro Controls for Pro Gamers

Kết quả hình ảnh cho SteelSeries Rival 500

Having more or less perfected the gaming mouse for the home user, peripheral companies have set their sights on the next great frontier: eSports. The SteelSeries Rival 500 ($80) has adopted the kitchen sink approach to mouse design, with a plethora of buttons, bells and whistles aimed at competitive gamers. Although the Rival 500 can feel cumbersome and overdesigned, it’s still a comfortable, functional mouse with lots of customization potential and a reasonable price for those looking to break into the tournament scene.

Design

The Rival 500 is one of the bigger mice I’ve used lately. At 4.7 x 3.1 x 1.7 inches, the peripheral is definitely best-suited to folks with large hands, or those who don’t mind stretching their fingers. The sheer abundance of buttons lends itself to a claw grip, but the mouse’s body is broad and flat enough for a palm grip as well.

Indian Scout FTR750 Ride Review

Sometimes it seems as if the term “history was made” is overused to the point of cliché, but it’s about the only way to describe the competitive rollout of the all-new, purpose-built Indian Scout FTR750 flat-tracker at the series finale of the 2016 AMA Pro Flat Track Championship on September 25, 2016.

That day at the Ramspur Winery Santa Rosa Mile marked the first time in over 60 years that an Indian-branded motorcycle had turned a tire in AMA national flat track competition, and the first time in 63 years since Indian stood proudly atop the sport by winning back-to-back-to-back National Championship titles in 1951, ’52 and ’53. Back then, Indian seemed unstoppable, right up until the time that it was stopped, and it wasn’t the competition that did-in the mighty factory Indian Wrecking Crew of Bill Tuman, Bobby Hill and Ernie Beckman. It was Indian itself, which ceased production of its fabled road-going Chief and Scout models. Cue the sound of the plug being pulled on the jukebox here.

Fast and light : Nikkor 24mm F1.8G ED lens review

The Nikkor 24mm 1.8G ED is a fast and lightweight wide-angle prime that offers very nice optical quality at a bargain price. The lens offers smooth and fast autofocus and a solid amount of light gathering ability with an F1.8 maximum aperture, which makes it one of Nikon’s most affordable and best performing wide-angle primes.

The AF-S Nikkor 24mm F1.8G ED was first announced back in August 2015. It joins Nikon’s growing family of modern full frame primes alongside the 20mm F1.8G, 28mm F1.8G, 35mm F1.8G, 85mm F1.8G and the 50mm F1.8G. It’s priced at just under $750 making it a well matched option to be paired with cameras like the Nikon D610 and the Nikon D750. The Nikkor can also be used on DX format cameras with an equivalent focal length of 36mm.

Pebble 2 review : Fitness gives the classic Pebble a second lease of life, but will it be enough?

The Pebble 2 packs in a lot for its price, and there’s plenty to love, but it’s let down by design. If you’re after an entry-level fitness tracker and don’t care too much about how it looks, this is a solid choice; if it’s a smartwatch you want, you may be better waiting and trying the Time 2 first.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho pebble 2

When Pebble showed up on the scene in 2012, there wasn’t really a scene at all. The smartwatch market was barely nascent, before exploding into the huge industry it is today. Yet Pebble’s open, OS-agnostic approach has helped it keep its status as a bit of a wearable cult hero.

While we’ve seen a handful of new Pebbles from the company since it debuted on Kickstarter, the Pebble 2 is the first true “sequel” to the original, and given how much Pebble has iterated since with its Time range you might wonder why it’s reviving the blocky, monochrome E-paper display. We’ve been wondering the same.

Asus ZenBook 3 UX390UA Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Asus ZenBook 3 UX390UA Review

Designed to beat the MacBook and competitors like the HP Spectre at their superslim game, the Asus ZenBook 3 UX390UA tips the scales at just 2 pounds but offers heavyweight performance, thanks to an optional 7th-Generation Core i7 CPU and a blazing-fast PCIe SSD. Starting at $1,099 ($1,599 as tested), the 12.5-inch laptop also provides an extremely vibrant screen, rich audio and, on the top config, a uniquely beautiful royal-blue chassis. However, if you want the sleekness and speed of the ZenBook 3, you’ll also have to accept mediocre battery life and a lone USB Type-C port for both power and data.

Design

In its royal blue color, the ZenBook 3 UX390UA is the most attractive laptop I’ve seen all year. The lid has the same subtle, concentric-circle pattern as other Asus laptops, but adds in an attractive gold-colored ring around the diamond-cut edge. In a market in which so many premium laptops are a boring shade of silver or gold, Asus deserves credit for offering a gorgeous blue that’s not just on the lid but that also covers the entire body, including the deck.

Voyager to the Pacifica: 2017 Chrysler Pacifica vs. 1984 Plymouth Voyager – Comparison Tests

Chrysler’s revolutionary 1984 minivan casts a spell on the evolutionary 2017 Pacifica.

There was a Ghostbusters movie in 1984, and there’s one this year. Game of Thrones is really just Falcon Crest with more dragons and beheadings. The Libertarians didn’t stand a chance then and don’t now. Just look at these two seven-seat minivans, both driving out of Chrysler’s Windsor, Ontario, assembly plant and into the North American zeitgeist. They’re completely different vans, and yet exactly the same. It’s a mind-blowing paradox.

The old one is Magic Wagon No. 1, the actual preproduction 1984 Plymouth Voyager that Chrysler’s then CEO, Lee Iacocca, used at press unveilings, dealer meetings, and general cheerleading sessions to drum up enthusiasm for the new “T115” minivans. Stray badges shoved into a rear cubby indicate that it sometimes also appeared as a Dodge Caravan. There are about 12,000 miles on the clock, and fake wood forests the sides. A lot of corduroy cows died to upholster those seats.

Sony FE 50mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro Lens Review

Sony Fe 50mm F2,8 Macro Front Oblique View

In terms of 35mm-format “full frame” cameras, the 50mm lens offers a natural perspective on the world, a view similar to the human eye. Thus we have the ubiquitous “standard lens” which has been a reliable workhorse as long as the format has existed. Be it portraiture or landscape, the 50mm can be put to good use. Add to that the ability to focus closer than normal and we have the macro lens, extending the usefulness still further. Let’s see how the new Sony FE 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens performs and if it lives up to expectation in what has become a very high quality line of optics.

Handling and Features

Sony Fe 50mm F2,8 Macro On Sony A7IIr

The lens is compatible with Sony FE format full frame sensor cameras and also the APS-C models, in the latter case, the field of view becoming a “35mm-equivalent” of 75mm. The lens is reviewed here using the Sony Alpha A7R II body.

Google Nexus vs Google Pixel: What’s the difference?

Google set the cat amongst the pigeons when it announced the Pixel C tablet in 2015. Launched alongside the two new Nexus handsets (Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P), this new tablet came Pixel branded, rather than Nexus branded.

The previous Pixel product we saw was the Chromebook Pixel, Google’s high-resolution Chromebook, which has since been dropped, having reached the end of its life. Roll forward to 2016 and Google has announced the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, as it puts Nexus out to pasture.

Surely these are all just Google products? What exactly is the difference between Nexus and Pixel?

Google Pixel XL vs Apple iPhone 7 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 7: What’s the difference?

Google announced the Pixel and Pixel XL during its October event, adding another premium smartphone to the choice of big phones out there.

It offers flagship specs and a premium design, putting it in the same boat as the likes of the Apple iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 (the non-exploding version).

The question is, how do the three devices actually compare? Here is the Pixel XL against the iPhone 7 Plus and Galaxy Note 7.

Google’s Pixel XL, Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung’s Note 7 all have solid, premium designs. They all look different of course, but they all look great. The iPhone 7 Plus is all about metal, while the Note 7 and Pixel XL use a combination of metal and glass.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 review: Ohm, ohm on the road

Not all headphones are made equal. There are a lot of choices on the market to suit different tastes – whether you want banging bass, noise-cancellation for travelling, or something more neutral like the Beyerdynamic DT 770.

These comfortable over-ear cans are designed as closed studio reference headphones, so they don’t come with fancy features like many on the market, but they are affordable and good all-round quality.

Well, they are if you pick the right ones and don’t expect to have a lot of external noise around you, hence them being for studio work. If you want them for out-and-about use then the 32ohm-rated cans will be your choice (the 80ohm and 250ohm will need separate amplification).

MSI GE62VR Apache Pro Review

Kết quả hình ảnh cho MSI GE62VR Apache Pro Review

Detailed Review

In 2015, we reviewed the MSI GE62 6QD that featured NVIDIA 960M but MSI has since updated it and the latest SKU features NVIDIA’s recently launched Pascal-based GPU – the GeForce GTX 1060 for laptops. Let’s see what this gaming laptop’s got for us:

Design:

Everything we loved from the MSI GE62 6QD, the MSI GE62 VR 6RF’s predecessor, is back. The laptop continues to sport brushed aluminium finish on top with the backlit MSI logo and the exact same chassis as its predecessor. The screen bezels are plastic this time again and can be flexed easily with a little pressure which did concern us.

The hinges mounting the screen to the base are quite rigid and sturdy but do not allow you to open the laptop without holding the base. The keyboard palmrest area feels really solid and premium, complementing the lid.

2018 Suzuki GSX-S750 and GSX-S750Z ABS – FIRST LOOK REVIEW

Introduced to the US market two years ago, Suzuki’s GSX-S750 middleweight sport naked receives a thorough revision for 2018 with the new bike slated for an early March 2017 arrival. Good news here in that the GSX-S750 will now be sold in all 50 states to include the large California market that was deprived of the previous generation of this exciting model.

Suzuki states the product concept of the new GSX-S750 as “the aggressive looking street bike with friendly character.” All-new styling has infused the aggressive lines akin its larger GSX-S1000 sibling, right down to the “functional” position lights flanking the headlight, a distinctive feature Suzuki designers say “express the fangs of a wild beast.” Within the new skin beats a 2K5-based GSX-R inline four, a street-tuned version of the race-proven supersport mill. Peak power has been significantly improved (+8 hp) over that of its predecessor while meeting tighter Euro 4 emissions regulations.

Google Home vs Amazon Echo: What’s the difference?

It didn’t take long for a tech company to copy Amazon Echo.

Amazon’s voice-activated speaker is a critical success, and so it wasn’t too surprising when Google introduced at Google I/O in May that it developed its own speaker called Google Home. Then, at the Made by Google event in October, Google announced some key features for Home, as well as how much it costs and when you can get it. Now you just have to decide which speaker you want.

To help make that process a little easier for you, we’ve looked through all the specs and details and explained the primary differences between Amazon Echo and Google Home. Let us know in the comments which one you think you’ll buy.

Dell XPS 13 (Kaby Lake) Review : Our Favorite Laptop Gets Better

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Dell XPS 13 (Kaby Lake) Review : Our Favorite Laptop Gets Better

The Dell XPS 13 became our top overall laptop by offering a 13-inch screen in a more compact package than its competitors, along with a winning combo of design, comfort, performance and battery life. Since its introduction, everyone has been trying to catch this ultraportable, but no one has been able to knock off the champ. Now, Dell has raised the bar even higher with an update to its XPS 13 (starting at $799; $1,099 as tested) that adds the latest 7th-generation Intel Core CPUs (Kaby Lake), even more battery life and stronger Wi-Fi performance.

You can now order this aluminum machine in a fetching rose-gold color, too, if you’re willing to pay more for it. The XPS 13 isn’t perfect — see the webcam — but overall, it remains our top pick.

2016 Moto Guzzi Audace Carbon – FIRST LOOK REVIEW

Miguel Galluzzi did a great thing wrapping his daring MCX21 in carbon fiber and now carbon fiber is very much in fashion at Moto Guzzi: enter the Moto Guzzi Audace Carbon, just unveiled at INTERMOT.

Moto Guzzi Audace Carbon studio 3/4 view

The Audace is the “dark” model in the Moto Guzzi California family and this Carbon edition ads an extra touch of gothic essence to its personality. It is not just a matter of carbon fiber front fender and fuel tank cowls. The Audace Carbon has been revised in a few more details over the regular Audace version.

To enhance the contiguity with the MGX21, the Audace Carbon adopts the same “Mandello red” valve covers and front Brembo calipers. More meaningful is the reshaping of the dragbar, now bent at the grips to offer an easier reach to riders of all sizes.

While Suzuki’s V-Strom 1000 has been a fixture in this segment since 2002, the versatile V-twin proved more suited to on-road use than wilderness adventure. A major platform revision for the 2014 model year lent this traveling/commuting workhorse more contemporary ADV style and a chassis treatment that’s proven fire road worthy. UMI Plus vs Oneplus 3 Fingerprint Scanner

Fingerprint scanner has become the inevitable feature for a smartphone now. If your smartphone doesn’t support fingerprint scanner, you may use an old one now.

Now more and more manufacturers start to design the fingerprint scanner on its home button, of course, some set it up on the side of the phone instead of home button. We have compared  the VKworld T1 Plus with iPhone 6s a few days ago, now the other flagship smartphone, UMI Plus has also been compared with Oneplus 3 in fingerprint scanner on their home button.

And that’s exactly the case with the new UMI Plus, because the Home serves dual purpose, first as a scanner and secondary as a normal physical button, so long press will bring the app list while short press returns you to the main home screen. We can watch the video to check UMI Plus supports the fast unlocking speed to 0.1s. And UMI has also supports some encryption chip to keep your phone safe.

To say Fitbit’s had a busy 2016 would be an understatement. The company has released both the Fitbit Blaze and the new Fitbit Charge 2 into the wild, and with the Fitbit Flex 2following hot on their heels, there’s never been so much choice in the Fitbit stable.

With the Blaze sporting the most workout features but fewer new metrics, which is the right model for you? Read on for our take.

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 105mm f/1.4E ED Review

Nikon 105mm F1,4 Front Oblique View

Although the 85mm f/1.4 lens is traditionally the iconic portrait optic for full frame cameras, many users have preferred something longer. The 135mm is also traditional, but perhaps a little too long to foster a close connection with the subject. The 100/105mm lens sits perfectly placed to offer the best option between these two points. Focusing close enough for a good head portrait and having enough length to give a flattering perspective this perhaps ideal combination is now offered by Nikon with a bright f/1.4 aperture. This is a first in this focal length and we now look at its possibilities and its performance.

Land Rover Discovery (2017) preview: Seven-seat family disco

The British star of the Paris Motor Show 2016 was undoubtedly the new Land Rover Discovery.

You’ll be aware that there’s already a Discovery Sport, but big brother Discovery promises to do more than it’s sibling – it’s more luxurious, more powerful, has more space… more everything.

Dimensions-wise, these changes mean that the new Discovery is 141mm longer than before (at 4970mm), and it’s got a longer wheelbase for better cabin volumes. But it’s also lower and narrower, which should make it wieldier in tight situations (such as multi-story car parks which sometimes proved the previous Discovery’s nemesis).

phpjpugqy

Land Rover is acutely aware that the Discovery is a favourite with well-heeled families, as its seven-seat status has made it a firm favourite. You can get the Discovery Sport with seven seats of course, but its rearmost seats are good for kids only, whereas the full-fat Disco can accommodate two adults. We got back there and can say that, headroom-wise, a six-footer fits in easily.
