Just when you thought ARCHOS was done spurting out one mobile device after another, it sneaks past one more just before IFA 2015 started. The third of its new Diamond family, the Diamond Plus smartphone is making the same appeal that Lenovo recently made with its new PHAB line: a bigger smartphone for those who want bigger things in life. That said, ARCHOS’s phablet is not exactly as big as Lenovo’s and it most certainly isn’t as high performance as those either.

Peugeot Fractal concept car is inspired by sound

Peugeot has unveiled a new concept car that uses an attractive and very angular design called the Fractal. The car was designed in cooperation with sound designer and producer Amon Tobin. It’s described as an electric urban coupe that uses the sense of sound to improve the driving experience.

Fractal is an EV concept and one of the things that the car explores is if sound could be used to help the driver remain focused. The car promises its own sound signature so that other people on the road know it is nearby. The silence of electric cars is something that can be a big issue for the visually impaired or people who simply aren’t paying attention.

Huawei G8 might be an affordable alternative to the Mate S

Huawei may have just made a big splash at IFA 2015 to announce its newMate S and finally launch the Huawei Watch, but apparently that’s not all that it had to show. Almost rather silently, it also revealed the Huawei G8, which seems to bear many characteristics of both the Honor 7 and the new Mate S. The difference? Some slightly lower hardware and the absence of some fancy extraneous features that could make the Huawei G8 a more convincing and affordable option for those starting to root for Huawei’s products.

That includes big names like Uber and Twitter, along with on-the-go essentials like Nike+ and Yelp. In total, the company claims that over a thousand titles will be stocking the Tizen store when the watch hits retailers in October.
