Huawei Nova 3 First Impressions: Going for the kill?

OnePlus’ formula of offering flagship features at half the price has been replicated across the price range this year. Multiple flagship killers have cropped up in that price segment and the usual suspects are mostly from Honor and Huawei. The Chinese company has been quickly gaining momentum in India after having sold 153 million units worldwide in 2017. In India, Huawei had been missing in action until last year. Its subsidiary Honor had more visibility, but ever since the Huawei P20 Pro came out, the company has been quite active in the world’s second largest smartphone market. The Huawei Nova 3 is the latest device to launch in India from Huawei’s stables.

2018 BMW M5 v Mercedes-AMG E63 S comparison

It’s a great Did You Know factoid that AMG wasn’t involved in the first express-spec E-Class.

When Mercedes decided five years was long enough for the original (1985) M5 to have had its own way in the mid-range sports sedan arena – longer if you count the M535i – the Stuttgart brand sought the help of close-neighbour Porsche to create a muscled-up, V8-powered version of the W124 sedan.

AMG, as a tuning house, would take that 500E (later E500) a step further as the E60 AMG, though today of course it’s not just integrated with the carmaker but a fully fledged sub-brand.

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a lightweight and durable 14″ Windows laptop with a utilitarian design and good build quality. The Dell Latitude 7490 also offers up extra security options geared specifically to businesses. Read on for the full review of the Dell Latitude 7490.

Kirin 970 Comparo: Huawei Nova 3 VS Honor 10

Which one is the better buy?

While Huawei never said that the Nova 3 was a proper budget flagship, one look at its specs sheet tells us that it’s capable of giving more expensive flagships (even Huawei’s own P20) a run for their money. Curiously enough, the Nova 3 will be going up against Honor’s own budget flagship, the Honor 10, in stores. Lest you forget, Honor is a sub-brand of Huawei, and the company is essentially pitting two phones under its umbrella against each other.

Which one is better specs-wise? Let’s take a quick look at with this comparo:

A Samsung gaming phone isn’t going to sell: this is why

News of Samsung working on its own GPU for mobile devices resurrected rumors of a gaming-centric Samsung phone coming soon. Neither of this is actually new but the timing seems almost perfect. Huawei just rolled out a “GPU Turbo” update, Apple is also rumored to be designing its own graphics chip, and gaming smartphones seem to be gaining traction thanks to the likes of Razer and ASUS. But while it’s almost too easy to think that Samsung could jump on the bandwagon, one has to also calm down and consider the more possible outcome. If Samsung makes its own gaming phone, it’s going to lose in that market.

Amid the incessant leaks, my intrigue for the next Tizen watch has been killed

All Galaxy Note 9 preview videos out at once: Battery, Storage, Speed

This morning one preview video for the Galaxy Note 9 was supposed to be revealed – then the other two over the next couple days. But they’ve all been released at once, so here they are. All three of them at once. One focuses on Battery Life, the other works with Storage Space, and the last one is about Processor Power – or speed, whatever you want to call it.

These videos are pretty basic. They’re basically saying your Galaxy Note 9 will be better than an iPhone at doing all the junk you want it to be capable of doing. It’ll have a bigger battery than other phones and/or will have the ability to use said battery in a more efficient manner than other phones. First you’ll see that video, straight from Samsung.

OPPO Find X vs Vivo NEX S: durability face-off

If it were a question of novelty, this year’s winners are Chinese brands not many might be aware of. The Vivo NEX S and then the OPPO Find X have definitely stirred up interest in alternative solutions to the bezel-less screen puzzle. 5 Ways Lenovo Smart Display is unique

Lenovo Smart Display is a product looking for a market – just like the Amazon Echo Show. It rolls with the Google Assistant voice search and assistant service, and it has a big 10-inch display to deliver all the visual delights the user could ask for. But what’s the big deal here? Why would someone want something like this when they didn’t know it existed yesterday?

MacBook Pro review (2018): Apple plays catch-up

With the new MacBook Pro, Apple is just trying to keep pace with the rest of the computing industry. The biggest upgrade is Intel’s latest CPUs, which have been popping up in PCs since last fall. And there are some other slight hardware tweaks, too. Basically, it’s a classic Apple refresh: Not much has changed. Put the MacBook Pro side by side with last year’s model and it’s impossible to tell the difference. Still, if you’re a committed Mac user, it’s exactly what you’ve been waiting for. Everyone else should take a long, hard look at the competition.

2019 Mercedes-AMG C63 S first drive: 503hp of raw emotion

You never forget your first AMG. Even just hearing the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine firing up for the first time, under the bulging hood of what was in 2015 the all-new Mercedes-AMG C63 S, I was instantly in love. That’s why I’m totally fine with Mercedes-AMG keeping the same engine in this model year 2019 AMG C63 S mid-cycle refresh, though that’s not to say Mercedes’ fearsome tuners have slept on the rest of the car.

To prove it, Mercedes brought us to an all-you-can-drive track session at Bilster Berg, a killer track so fiendish it could have easily been designed by Satan himself.

Samsung Galaxy J6 review

Samsung just released the Galaxy J6 last month, and it touts next-level entertainment at a price of Php13,990/$262. Would it stand against the competition? Here’s our full review.

Design and Construction

The design follows the aesthetics of the earlier-released A6 and A6+, sans a few key details that seem to be ditched for a lesser price tag. We’ve initially told you how it looked like in our hands-on, but the most noticeable change here is the use of a polycarbonate back over a metal one.

Are they a perfect fit for those who love music and working out?

In an age where headphone jacks are slowly being pushed out of phones, wireless buds are slowly becoming the norm. Even though we still prefer wired headsets, going wireless has a lot of neat benefits, notably simple operation and no tangled cords.

There’s a literal glut of wireless headphones in the market but there’s only a few that are made for active individuals. Fewer still are headphones for gym rats and recreational runners that have budget price tags.
