The Microsoft smartphone was unveiled alongside the Surface Pro X and the Surface Neo in 2019, with the dual-screen design being the obvious standout feature.
Microsoft previously announced that the Neo would be delayed to allow the company to focus on developing Windows 10 and its web services during the pandemic. Concerns then emerged whether the Surface Duo would suffer a similar delay, but they have now been quashed with Microsoft announcing the Duo is available for pre-order, with an official release date set for September.
