HTC One M7 vs M8 vs M9 vs HTC 10 : How HTC flagships developed

HTC has just released their newest flagship HTC 10 (aka HTC One M10). We wonder whether it is a real more advanced smartphone than its predecessors HTC One M7, M8, and M9 or not. If you feel like us, check out the following comparison to get the result!

HTC (1)

How HTC flagships developed

Design-wise, looking at the picture above shows us that the first three handsets look pretty alike while the last one, or the latest one, does carry a different design language. Obviously, the familiar large dual front-facing speakers, big main camera and curved back no longer exist on the HTC 10. Instead, it has a physical home button equipped with a fingerprint sensor underneath, a smaller shooter, and a flat back with rounded edges. We think it is more elegant and comfortable in hands than before. But, what’s your opinion?

Review : The Angenieux 25mm f/0.95 Was Used for NASA Moon Photos

If you want to pick up an interesting lens for your camera, check out the Angenieux 25mm f/0.95. It’s a somewhat hard-to-find lens that was once used by NASA to photograph the moon with a lunar probe.

[su_youtube url=”https://youtu.be/g8WKwrYbUWY”]

Above is a 2-minute video intro and review of the lens by photographer Mathieu Stern. Stern says the lens is hard to find in France and is difficult to obtain for less than $1,700. In the US, you may be able to find one on eBay for less than $1,000.

Canon EOS 1300D Review

Introduction

The Canon EOS 1300D (otherwise known as the Digital Rebel T6 in North America) updates the EOS 1200D / Rebel T5 as Canon’s entry-level DSLR marketed squarely at first-time DSLR buyers. The new camera is more evolution than revolution though, as it carries over many of its predecessor’s key features. Consequently the 1300D gets the same 18MP APS-C sensor paired with a near-identical Digic 4+ processor, resulting in a modest 3fps continuous shooting rate and a maximum standard sensitivity of ISO 6400.

Full HD video at 30fps is available, as is a Video Snapshot mode that combines short video clips into a montage sequence. The 1300D also sports a higher resolution 920k-dot LCD screen, but its biggest improvement over the 1200D is the addition of built-in Wi-Fi with NFC pairing. Now you’ll be able to wirelessly transfer images to a mobile device for sharing, as well as remotely control the camera from a smartphone or tablet.

The Canon EOS 1300D is now available body-only for £299.99/$450, or bundled with Canon’s 18-55mm III (non-stabilised) kit lens for £344.99/$517, as well as the more versatile 18-55mm IS II lens for £384.99/$549.

Asus Chromebook C202 Review

The Pros

Great keyboard; Durable and easy to repair; Very good battery life;

The Cons

Mixed performance; Heavier than competition

Verdict

The Asus Chromebook C202 is a good choice for students because of its durable design, comfortable keyboard and long battery life.

Whenever you hand a laptop to a  child, you can expect that they’re going to drop it and, in many cases, it may not survive. The $199 Asus Chromebook C202 ($229 as tested) will help kids  avoid that fate with a durable chassis that’s designed to take its fair share of bumps and bruises. Beyond the C202’s rough-and-tumble exterior is an excellent keyboard and a battery that lasts over 8 hours on a charge, making it a strong choice for elementary schoolers or anyone who might let it slip.

Comparison : H-D Heritage Softail Classic vs. Moto Guzzi Eldorado vs. Triumph Thunderbird LT

Imagine that you’ve always pined for a certain kind of American-style cruiser. Lots of chrome, classic looks, big engine. Tall bars and floorboards are your thing—leave the dragstrip refugees to someone else. But your mission is a little more complicated than a simple summertime ride around town or to the multiplex a couple of cities over. You want this unashamedly patriotic machine to be capable of some touring and to be practical enough that you’ll use it for commuting occasionally.

And because the cruiser market is already pretty finely sliced, let’s get a little more specific. Your taste runs toward simple Plexiglas windscreens—no full or even half fairings for you—and if there are to be saddlebags, they need to look like they were once part of a cow. Plastic is for pool toys, and fiberglass is for boats. At least that’s how you see it. So now you’re out of the realm of the Harley-Davidson Road King, Kawasaki’s Vulcan Vaquero, and even Moto Guzzi’s California Touring—all bikes that, while compelling, don’t exactly meet your tightly defined criteria for cruiser perfection.

Apple MacBook 2016 Review

The Pros

Fantastically light design (with rose gold option); Rich and vibrant display; Faster performance than predecessor; Very good battery life

The Cons

Still just one USB-C port; Can’t power two external displays; Low-res webcam

Verdict

The updated MacBook packs more performance and battery life into a wonderfully thin and light design, but Apple didn’t address the biggest drawbacks.

Acer Predator G1 Hands-on : Desktop is Ready for the Road

Acer’s current crop of Predator gaming desktops are pretty beastly, but they’re also too big to leave your command center. Enter the Predator G1, a portable tower that supports the highest-end graphics cards while being tiny enough to transport to your next LAN party or eSports event.

Garmin Forerunner 230 review : A solid running watch with few thrills

The Garmin Forerunner 230 is a solid running watch at a slightly inflated price. Both the TomTom Spark and Polar M400 match its sport focussed offering for a lot less dough, however, the 230 does boast fantastic battery life, top notifications and all-day activity tracking for those who want it. While we had zero complaints about the Forerunner 230’s performance, we’d advise the following: opt for the cheaper watches we mentioned or fork out a little more for the Forerunner 235 with optical HR tracking.

Acer’s Liquid Zest Hands-on : Phone Has a Massive 5,000 mAh Battery

We were impressed when Samsung stuffed a 3,600 mAh battery into the S7 Edge — after all, that phone lasted more than 10 hours on our battery tests. But now Acer is upping the ante with its new Liquid Zest which features a massive 5,000 mAh battery in a similar 5.5-inch design. The difference? Acer’s new phone will cost a third of what you pay for an S7 Edge.

2016 Volkswagen Passat Alltrack 2.0TDI v 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6R Comparison

[su_youtube url=”https://youtu.be/Wo2t6a2mcvA”]

Australian buyers have been bashing down the doors at dealers, rushing madly to secure the keys (or keyless fobs) to large SUVs over the past decade without so much as a backward glance. The harsh reality, though, is most of those buyers don’t really need a large SUV.

Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM Review

When the Sony Alpha 7 cameras were first released in 2013 and 2014, there was criticism about the lack of available lenses and the sparse lens roadmap that Sony presented. DSLR vs. Mirrorless Cameras : Which Is Better for You?

When you get serious about photography, you face a choice: Do you buy a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera or a mirrorless camera? You can get great photos with either, but each has its pros and cons.

DSLRs use the same design as the 35mm film cameras of days gone by. A mirror inside the camera body reflects the light coming in through the lens up to a prism (or additional mirrors) and into the viewfinder for you to preview your shot. When you press the shutter button, the mirror flips up, a shutter opens and the light falls onto the image sensor, which captures the final image. We’ll go through the features and capabilities with our top DSLR pick, the $446 Nikon D3300.

In a mirrorless camera, light passes through the lens and right onto the image sensor, which captures a preview of the image to display on the rear screen. Some models also offer a second screen inside an electronic viewfinder (EVF) that you can put your eye to. Our example of a mirrorless camera, one of our favorites, is Sony’s $598 Alpha a5100.
