Lenovo’s ThinkStation P520 (starts at $1,415; $2,267 as tested) is the computer giant’s flagship single-CPU workstation. It’s ideal for heavy lifting such as graphics design, 3D modeling, and machine learning. A respectable performer in our modestly equipped test guise, it’s factory customizable to the nines with up to an 18-core Intel Xeon processor, quad-channel memory, dual Nvidia Quadro graphics cards, and gobs of storage.
