Hemi 6.4-litre V8 destined for either Wrangler or Gladiator as US brand previews Jeep with ‘392’ badge on bonnet

Jeep is working on a flagship V8-powered Wrangler and Gladiator to help it compete with more expensive Mercedes-AMG G63 and to head off any attempt to make a faster version of the upcoming Ford Bronco.

Releasing a single pic on its social media channels of what looks like a Wrangler with a large power bulge, look closer and you’ll spot a blurred ‘392’ badge.

That is thought to be for the 392 cubic inches (6.4-litre) Hemi V8 that lies beneath the hood.
