It’s a compact gaming desktop like no other

Companies like ASUS try to sweeten the pot by adding better support, warranties and a ton of unique features in their machines to warrant a purchase from hardcore gamers. The ROG Huracan G21 is one such machine, and while it’s definitely pricey ASUS made sure that it has plenty of features that even the veteran PC builder would want.

Nikon D3400 Vs Nikon D3500 – What’s New, What’s The Same & What’s Better?

There was a big announcement from Nikon this week introducing brand-new, full-frame mirrorless cameras (Nikon Z6 and Z7) but for those who aren’t quite so advanced with their photography, or have the budget to stretch to a few thousand pounds, Nikon has also introduced a new entry-level DSLR – the D3500.

The D3500 is the successor to the popular Nikon D3400 that was introduced a few years ago and even though quite a bit of the inner-workings of the new Nikon D3500 are similar to the D3400, there are some notable changes we thought we’d mention.

Skagen Falster 2 Hands-on review: First look – Wear OS at its stylish best

IFA 2018: We’re still not quite sure how it’s packed in all those new features

Of all the smartwatch brands that fall under the Fossil Group umbrella, Skagen is probably our favourite. Whether it’s making dainty hybrids or a full-fat smartwatch, there’s a lot to like about the minimalist, elegant approach that the Danish brand adopts.

So we’re glad to know that we’ve got a follow-up to the Skagen Falster. The original Falster was big on looks and you’ll find more of the same with the Falster 2. This time though, it’s bringing all of the smarts. Well, more than last time, at least.

This laptop comes with a body quite similar to its predecessor, coming with a cool four layers of reinforced carbon fiber up top – it’s far less bustable than most.

Ant Audio W56 Review

Ant Audio W56: Detailed Review

Wired IEMs are available at almost all price ranges today. While the prices have been diving low, it can be said that the quality among some companies has been shooting high. That could be because of the availability of better chipsets in more compact formats than before, added to the manufacturer’s own ingenuity. Which brings us to the product in question, the Ant Audio W56 in-ear monitor. While the MRP of this product is Rs. 1299 it is not uncommon to find it online at half that price at around Rs. 699/-.

New Sonos Amp gives pro-audio some streaming power

Sonos has revealed a new connected amplifier, the Sonos Amp, delivering streaming music, AirPlay 2 support, and more for installations where third-party speakers are preferred. Targeting professional installers, the new Sonos Amp is designed to fit into a standard AV rack.

It’s a return to some of Sonos’ earliest products, back when the company launched with its Zone Player amplifiers. Since then, the Zone Player had rebranded as Connect, though the concept remained the same. Those with an existing audio system that they wanted to keep using could add a Connect to include wireless streaming support too.

Realme 2 first impressions: One step back, two steps forward

The Realme 1 that launched earlier this year did something really interesting. It managed to bring hardware seen in more expensive phones down to the under-Rs 10,000 segment — Dual cameras, a funky glass design and 6GB of RAM along with a top-of-the-line MediaTek chipset. However, in a market as competitive as that of smartphones in India, the newly-created brand just couldn’t rest with launching just one device. Hence the Realme 2. Between the launch of the first Realme phone and this one, it seems a lot has changed.

Just buy it? Why Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2080 Ti might be worth preordering

There are valid reasons to preorder the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti—they just haven’t been articulated well.

Look, you shouldn’t preorder anything technology related. Not games, not Teslas, and definitely not bleeding-edge computer hardware, which usually debuts with bleeding-edge quirks only made apparent after reviews hit. I shouted that opinion from the rooftops when AMD’s Ryzen CPUs launched with okay gaming performance. And the very day that Nvidia announced its new GeForce RTX graphics cards, I said you shouldn’t preorder those, either.

Lenovo Yoga Book C930 vs original Yoga Book: What’s new

Lenovo’s original Yoga Book was an intriguing idea, but it’s the Yoga Book C930 announced today where the delivery finally lives up to the sci-fi concept. Now squeezing two displays into its slender notebook form-factor, this modern-day Courier picks up its predecessor’s baton and runs with it. Here’s what you need to know about the upgrade.

A more practical dual-display

The original Yoga Book was like a movie prop, with its Tron-esque light-up keyboard and slender clamshell design. The Yoga Book C930 has grown slightly – it’s a little longer and a little wider than its predecessor, though still just 0.38-inches thick – but that’s allowed for a larger display.

4 gadgets the Lenovo Yoga Book C930 could replace

Convergence gave us the smartphone that was also a camera and media player, and now Lenovo’s Yoga Book C930 wants to do the same for the larger gadgets that currently fill up your bag. The dual-screen clamshell cherry-picks the best of LCD, E Ink, and digital pen technology, encapsulating them all in an unusually compact design. Your regular PC

Lenovo is positioning the Yoga Book C930 as a traveller’s best friend, and certainly we can see why that would be true.

BlackBerry KEY2 LE gets best of KEY2 for under $400

If you still demand a physical keyboard with your smartphone, but need Android on a budget, the new BlackBerry KEY2 LE announced at IFA 2018 today might fit the bill. Taking TCL’s generally well-received BlackBerry KEY2 and trimming it down for a more affordable price point, the new smartphone starts at under $400.

Despite the price cut, you still get the essentials of what makes the BlackBerry brand still appealing. Up top, there’s a 4.5-inch 1620 x 1080 display covered in Gorilla Glass, while underneath it is TCL’s latest hardware keyboard. That has QWERTY keys that are almost 10-percent larger than those on the original BlackBerry KEYone, the company points out.

The HTC U12 Life is a sad reminder of how much better the Google Pixel 3 could look

HTC has unveiled the mid-range U12 Life and it looks a lot like the Google Pixel.

If not for its Snapdragon 636 processor, the mid-range HTC U12 Life might be confused for HTC’s newest flagship phone. It has a 6-inch FHD screen, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, not to mention a 16MP dual rear camera, 13MP front camera, and a 3,600mAh battery. It even has a headphone jack.

But what’s most striking about the HTC U12 Life—which won’t be sold in the U.S.—is how it looks. Building on HTC’s U design and liquid surface aesthetic, the new U12 Life is one of the best-looking phones of the year at any price, with clean lines, subtle curves, and a pair of elegant color options.

The Saroléa Manx7 Electric Superbike Is A Carbon Fiber Lover’s Fantasy

The major bane of every electric motorcycle’s existence, at least so far, is weight. As battery technology stands these days, there’s no getting around the fact that batteries are heavy. No matter how many trick components you surround the battery with, a plump curb weight is a killer when it comes to performance. Case in point, the Energica Eva Esse Esse 9. A trellis frame, Marzocchi fork, Bitubo shock, OZ wheels, Brembo brakes, and the finest in Italian electric motorcycle technology can’t hide the fact that the bike weighs 621 pounds.

Contrast that with this, the Saroléa Manx7.

Casio ProTrek WSD-F30 Hands-on review: First look – Outdoor smartwatch slims down

IFA 2018: Casio’s back – and this time it’s serious

Casio is back for a third crack at its outdoor smartwatch with the Casio ProTrek WSD-F30. It’s safe to say the previous generations haven’t hit home, and we’ve been critical of the unmanageable size, bugginess of apps and general experience. But with the WSD-F30, Casio might have just got the formula right this time.

The ProTrek WSD-F30 has been slimmed down just a tad – while managing to keep the same military grade toughness (MIL-STD-810G) of its predecessors. The company has managed to up battery life, too – and is finally getting some help from Google, with its rapidly-improving (and newly renamed) Wear OS.

Asus Gaming X570UD Review: Light But Not a Lightweight

A Budget Gaming Notebook?

Asus pulled off a big surprise a few weeks ago by announcing that it was going to offer a budget gaming notebook for less than Php 40k — the Asus Gaming X560. This understandably left us quite curious about what a laptop at this price range could offer; especially one that had the word “Gaming” in its name. We were able to secure a loaner for the exact model they were offering for Php 39,995 but got our hands on its bigger brother instead — the Asus Gaming X570 — and were able to put it to the test.

Honor Play: flagship features with a mid-range price

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor shocked the entire market with their announcement of the Honor Play. Bearing the brand’s most powerful Kirin 970 chipset for an insane price, the device became a surefire superstar. Add GPU Turbo into the mix and you also get an amazing gaming machine. Although, it’s more than just a flagship specced mid-ranger with strong gaming capabilities. So, let’s take a look at why the Honor Play is such a steal for the price.

Flagship Internals

Of course, we can’t deny that the main selling point of the Honor Play is its flagship internals — A Kirin 970 chipset along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
