Smartwatches can be wonderful things that cull your dependence on a smartphone, but your smartwatch is most likely dependent on a smartphone no matter what – unless you happen to have one that’s LTE-enabled.
The only problem with that is – right now – LTE-enabled smartwatches are few and far between. Fashion powerhouses like Fossil haven’t yet got on board as LTE tends to mean added bulk, but Apple is reportedly adding LTE to the Apple Watch Series 3, and could prove that it needn’t be that way.
