A smartwatch where the connected features live on the outside

The Sony smartwatches you once knew are a thing of the past. While Sony hasn’t 100% officially gone on record to say it’s never going to make a smartwatch to rival an Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy Watch again, the arrival of its Wena watch and smart straps suggests it’s ready to do smartwatches a little differently now.

Wena (which stands for wear electronics naturally) is a brand that was born out of Sony’s Seed Acceleration Program, where employee ideas are promoted to the company’s own First Flight platform.
