Nubia Alpha Review

The Nubia Alpha proposes to be a wearable smartphone. The $449 Bluetooth-only model currently available connects to your standard phone and allows you to make calls and send texts from your wrist. While its wraparound display is neat, the Alpha’s barebones operating system is finicky and offers no support for third-party apps. It also struggled to accurately track fitness metrics and heart rate in testing. For a smartwatch that’s meant to be worn on a daily basis, the Nubia Alpha is just too gimmicky and impractical.
