The $399.99 Mackie MP-360 is a pair of in-ear monitors—earphones intended for musicians—that can just as easily be used by anyone seeking accurate sonics for everyday listening. At first glance, the earphones resemble custom-molded in-ears like we’ve reviewed from JH Audio and Ultimate Ears, but they actually use standard eartips. While that may not be quite as enticing to musicians seeking the best possible onstage or in-studio monitoring, it does mean that the pricing reflects, ostensibly, the quality of the drivers, and not the quality of the drivers plus the cost of the custom-molding process.
