The OnePlus brand first garnered praise in its role as a “flagship killer”, but these days, with its mainline devices boasting dizzying specs and considerable price tags, it can be hard to see what sets apart phones such as the OnePlus 8 Pro from other brands’ flagship phones. Despite our high praise for these recent top-tier devices, it’s still somewhat reassuring to see the former underdog reportedly return to its roots with a true mid-ranger, the OnePlus Z.
