On Tuesday, AnandTech published an in-depth performance analysis of the OnePlus 9 Pro. It revealed that the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro have been limiting the performance of the Snapdragon 888 in almost all the popular applications such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge while delivering the full potential of the SoC in popular benchmarking apps. The only plausible explanation was that the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro are limiting the performance of the SoC to conserve battery life.
