5 Winning Features of the OPPO F3 Plus

5 Winning Features of the OPPO F3 Plus

Posted on March 25, 2017 By Jarvis

OPPO has finally revealed their latest smartphone, the OPPO F3 Plus. It’s the newest member of OPPO’s F-line of smartphones, and like the rest of the family, it’s designed for people who are fond of selfies. But is that all there is to the OPPO F3 Plus? Here are it’s 5 winning features.

1. Premium build

The OPPO F3 Plus doesn’t offer anything groundbreaking in terms of design. As what was mentioned in our review, it resembles its flagship offering, the R9s, which then resembles the former iPhone 6/6s design. Still, it’s a good-looking device. It has an aluminum unibody with rounded edges which, according to OPPO, went through two sand-spraying processes, three polishings, and multiple rounds of CNC milling. In other words, the F3 Plus feels premium and ergonomic. To top it off, literally, is Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.

2. 16MP main selfie camera + 8MP wide-angle

One of the main features of the F3 Plus is its dual front cameras similar to the Vivo V5 Plus. It sports a main selfie camera with a 16MP 1/3-inch sensor and F2.0 aperture which is good for solo or couple selfies, but if you want to have more people in the photo, users can opt to use the 8MP camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens. In addition, it even has a smart facial recognition feature that prompts users to switch to the wide-angle camera after detecting more than three faces in the frame, and Beautify 4.0.

3. Solid-state fingerprint reader with hydrophobic membrane

Smartphones with good fingerprint readers are common nowadays, but in the case of the F3 Plus, OPPO added some improvements and equipped its fingerprint reader with a hydrophobic membrane which means it has an enhanced success rate even when a user’s fingers are moist. The feature might be gimmicky to some as we tend to avoid using smartphones with wet hands, but it’s good to have that feature nonetheless.

4. Snapdragon 653 CPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage

The OPPO F3 Plus sports one of the newest processors in the Snapdragon 600 tier – the Snapdragon 653. That said, it’s capable of running demanding applications and games. It’s also partnered to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, making it preferred phone for multitaskers and multimedia-heavy users.

5. 4,000mAh battery with VOOC

Granted that this device will be heavily used for photography and gaming, it’s a good thing that OPPO went for a large battery. Not as big as the one found in the ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom but the 4,000mAh capacity will be more than enough for one whole day of heavy use. The VOOC Flash Charge, on the other hand, can quickly recharge the battery while keeping its internals cool.
