Lenovo Ideacentre Y700 (GTX 1070) Review : Solid Gaming Value

Image result for Lenovo Ideacentre Y700 (GTX 1070) Review : Solid Gaming Value

Enjoying PC gaming is less terrifying to your wallet than ever, largely thanks to machines such as the Lenovo Ideacentre Y700 that cram powerful parts into an affordable package. The Y700’s Core i5 processor and GTX 1070 graphics card make it well equipped for playing modern games at high settings and handling virtual reality. In addition, its easy-to-upgrade chassis makes adding new components a breeze. The Y700 is a solid entry point for new PC gamers, though you can find more stylish and customizable options in the same price range.

Design

The Lenovo Ideacentre Y700 is nearly identical in design to its more premium Y900 counterpart, meaning you’ll get the same black, scaly chassis and huge glowing Y logo on the front. You won’t, however, get the Y900’s transparent side panel, though you can still see the green glow of the PC’s graphics cards through a small vent on the side.

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe Review : Great Except for One Flaw

Image result for Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe Is Great Except for One Flaw

Though pricier phablets like the $769 Google Pixel XL and Galaxy S7 Edge grab a lot of headlines, these days you can find a powerful, large-screen smartphone for under $500. The $499 Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe gives you a vibrant 5.7-inch AMOLED display, powerful performance and a generous 64GB of storage space in a gorgeous aluminum body.

Sold unlocked in the U.S. and capable of running on GSM networks (T-Mobile, AT&T, etc.), the dual-SIM phone also offers a highly customizable skin on top of Android 6, along with some useful first-party software. All these features make the ZenFone 3 Deluxe a great-looking device at an attractive price, but poor camera performance holds it back, and some competitors offer similar features for less.

ACER SWIFT 7 REVIEW

Acer was among the few PC builders to make a splash at this year’s IFA 2016 conference, with a two-prong attack on its rivals. On one side there’s Spin, the company’s 2-in-1 line. And on the other is Swift, a series of traditional clamshell laptops.

acer-swift-7-thin-800x533-c

Acer’s Swift 7 is the flagship of the second line, and it comes with everything you’d expect a top-tier laptop to have. That includes a 7th-generation Intel Core i5-7Y54 dual-core processor, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB solid state drive, and a 1080p display with Gorilla Glass finish.

These features are sure to make the Swift 7 feel worthy of its name. But at $1,099, this laptop enters a notoriously competitive market where the slightest misstep can hurt a device’s fortunes. Should you put Acer’s flagship on your shopping list this holiday season?

RAZER DEATHADDER ELITE REVIEW

The world of gaming mice is vast and complicated, with way too many brands offering far too many different models. To make matters worse, mouse specifications like DPI, sensor accuracy, and lift-off distance don’t easily convey the product’s performance.

razer-deathadder-elite-scrollwheel-800x533-c

With the new DeathAdder Elite, Razer trumpets numbers like a 16,000 DPI sensor, 99.4 percent resolution accuracy, and tracking speeds of 450 inches per second. But there’s a lot more to this mouse than digits on a page.

The DeathAdder Elite has to walk in the original DeathAdder’s footsteps. This is a mouse with a lot of fans out there who might be looking to upgrade, without changing what’s already working. Does the DeathAdder Elite follow through, or will last year’s model suffice?

Onkyo TX-RZ610 A/V Receiver Review

Onkyo has long been an industry leader when it comes to packing the latest and greatest features into their under-$1,000 A/V receivers. The Onkyo story has been just as interesting behind the scenes. A few years ago, Gibson Brands—yes, the guitar people—acquired a majority stake in Onkyo USA, while also investing directly in Onkyo Corp. (Onkyo Corp. also invested in Gibson, Onkyo reminded me; each CEO now sits on the other’s board.) More recently, in the spring of 2015, Onkyo Corp. acquired Pioneer’s Home A/V division. Together, Gibson, who is in essence partnered with Onkyo, and Onkyo, under the aegis of its corporate parent, now market three prominent AVR brands, including Onkyo, Integra (aimed at the custom installation market), and Pioneer (it’s actually four brands if you count separately Pioneer’s offshoot premium Elite brand). In the small world of AVR manufacturers, that makes this American/Japanese duo something of an empire.

Monster Elements review: Bass by the bucket load

In a world where headphones are worn almost like jewellery, rather than be fine examples of craftsmanship and audio balance, it’s no surprise to see brands like Monster take advantage.

The company’s latest wireless offering, the Elements over-ear, is so bling even Mr. T would think twice before adorning his neck with them. However, the big question is whether or not the quality of these headphones – in both design and sound terms – can match the ostentatiousness.

Monster has a reputation for building big, plastic, inelegant headphones – and the latest wireless Elements set don’t do anything to go against that trend.

D-LINK EXO AC1750 WIRELESS ROUTER REVIEW

Despite the growing number of Wi-Fi enabled devices in our homes, most of us still use technology that was better suited for a time when only your laptop and smartphone needed to share the internet. That technology is called 802.11n Wi-Fi.

d-link-dir-869-exo-ac1750_04-800x533-c

Now, it’s showing its age. 802.11n routers can quickly be brought to their knees during peak usage periods, leaving some devices to fight for bandwidth.  Most don’t see a reason to upgrade though, because a decent 802.11ac isn’t cheap.

Except the D-Link DIR-869 EXO AC1750. At $129, it’s affordable enough for many households. Yet it also promises strong performance and range. Can it really deliver so more, for so little?

BOWERS & WILKINS P3 SERIES 2 REVIEW

bw-p3-series-2-hdphns-handscale-800x533-c

With a beautiful on-ear design and crisp, clear sound quality, Bowers & Wilkins’ first generation P3 headphones captured our hearts when we first heard them four years ago. We’ve long praised the company’s smallest headphone option for their clean treble response and lightweight comfort, well worth their $200 price tag. Naturally, we were excited for the newly-updated P3 Series 2, which are not only $50 cheaper than the original, but billed to improve upon the first P3 in both sound quality and comfort.

Not every upgrade is an improvement. After extended listening at the office, at home, and during our daily commutes, we’ve fallen out of love. Sure, the latest P3 are certainly cheaper and prettier than the first generation, but in this case we’d prefer B&W had left well enough alone.

Denon Heos HS2 review: A true Sonos competitor

We had no problems recommending the original Denon Heos multi-room speaker range, but a couple of minor gripes stopped it from true five-star performance. The follow-up, rebooted Heos HS2 range goes all out, offering hi-res streaming support and Bluetooth connectivity.

Since the original’s launch the multi-room audio highway has got a whole lot more congested though. There’s Yamaha’s MusicCast system, an updated Sonos, new Libratone, Bluesound and Gear4 products, plus new designs from Bang & Olufsen all vying for your attention.

The Denon faces that competition wisely: without a price hike for those new features. It also remains compatible with original Heos products. But does it sound any good? We received exclusive samples of the new Denon Heos 7 HS2 (£379/$568.5, reduced from £499/$748.5), Heos 5 HS2 (£349/$523.5) and Heos 1 HS2 (£199/$298.5) to find out.

2017 AUDI A4 QUATTRO REVIEW

Our world is on the cusp of some remarkable automotive breakthroughs. Just on the horizon, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, fully autonomous systems, and anxiety-free zero emission powertrains will transform how we get from A to B. We stand to gain the safest, most environmentally friendly, and connected vehicles ever imagined. But we aren’t there yet.

2017-audi-a4-left-side-2-800x533-c

Today, our cars mix intelligent driver assistance systems with human error, connectivity with distraction, and efficient engineering with petrol-burning engines. Our reality doesn’t sound all that great, until you change your perspective. Instead of concluding that we haven’t achieved a perfect picture of modernity, consider that we’re actually at the pinnacle of our current technology.

The 2017 Audi A4 embodies the latter state of mind. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is the most efficient representation of an internal combustion motor, its driver assistance systems are advanced without being overbearing, and its convenience technology looks and feels cutting edge.

2017 Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet Review: Interstellar luxury

There’s more than one way to manifest as a master of the universe, but few show off your upper echelon status with more class and style than slipping behind the wheel of the 2017Mercedes-AMG S63 cabriolet. Truly, this is the chariot of those who are tired of the ostentatious display brought on by drop-top Ferraris, Bentleys, and Lamborghinis, a megabuck mirage that steals its way to the front of the valet line without drawing daggers from the 99 percent at every stoplight.

That’s not to say that the Mercedes-AMG S63 cabriolet goes unnoticed. Far from it – it’s hard to miss a full-size topless cruiser like this one, particularly when it sports Swarovski crystals in the headlights like the model I drove for a week. Rather, it’s a different kind of attention than what one would receive in a more nouveau riche carriage. The clean, imposing lines of the Silver Star-wearing convertible communicate a silent social contract between the driver and passersby: this car might cost as much as your house, but we don’t have to talk about it – and I’m certainly not going to drop the keys on the table the next time we meet up for dinner.

2017 Triumph Bonneville Bobber Preview

Introduced earlier today at a live event in England, the new Triumph Bonneville Bobber made its way to the stage ridden by none other than SBK racing legend, Carl Fogarty. Based on the all-new Bonneville released earlier this year, the Bobber receives a few notable items, namely a faux hardtail rear suspension setup, an adjustable solo saddle, and twin slash-cut mufflers.

According to Triumph, the new Bobber is powered by the same liquid-cooled 1200cc parallel-Twin of the T120 Bonneville, but is in a state of “Bobber tune,” delivering more low-end horsepower and torque. Helping achieve its hot rod performance and sound are new, dual airboxes feeding the engine, delivering a throaty intake noise, while the slash-cut mufflers emit the signature cadence of a 270-degree parallel-Twin.

TomTom Touch review : A promising fitness tracker that falls short

On paper the TomTom Touch is a decent tracker, but the devil is in the detail, and it didn’t quite shine on our wrists. Usability niggles and short battery life mar a decent fitness tracking performance, and while the body impedance data is a useful benchmark of your receding waistline, it’s not as accurate as a pair of scales. But the real shame is the lack of effective goals setting, especially around weight and exercise. It could have been so much better.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho tomtom touch

On face value the TomTom Touch has a killer USP: boasting a sensor that claims to rate your body fat, the Touch is more than just another me-too fitness tracker.

Evidence of fitness tracker buying behaviour has shown that most people who buy an activity band are already pretty fit. But a device that can essentially tell you how fat you are is a different prospect: TomTom has the chance to go out there and bag a new brand of customer.

Samyang 35mm f/1.2 ED AS UMC CS Review

Samyang 35mm F1,2 Front Oblique View

There are a number of bright f/1.2 standard lenses available. Samyang has now introduced a 35mm f/1.2 for APS-C and MFT formats, this being a “35mm equivalent” of around 50mm and 70mm respectively, being a traditional standard lens or a short telephoto depending on the format. This is also a manual focus lens. Let’s see how well it handles and how well it performs in technical tests and in the field.

Handling and Features

This compact and light (443g) lens sits firmly on the Fujifilm X-T2 body supplied for the review. It is perfectly balanced with the camera body. There is a generous bayonet fit lens hood that fits smoothly, although the click stop is very light and it is easily turned accidentally. As the hood is round we will not end up with unwanted vignetting should the hood turn from its locked position. The bayonet fit surrounds the 62mm filter thread.

BenQ GW2270H PC Monitor Review

What is the GW2270H?

The BenQ GW2270H is marketed as a PC monitor suitable for the home and office, although with a marginal slant to the former, and can be picked up for significantly less than £100/$150 at current (October 2016) prices. On paper it boasts better contrast than most office displays, with claims of a 3,000:1 contrast ratio and there are two HDMI ports making it a candidate for multimedia use. The GW2270H also uses BenQ’s eye-care features including Flicker-free tech and Low Blue Light Modes, both of which we’ve found successful in the past. So, if you’re looking for a bit if an all-rounder with no particular emphasis on individual disciplines, the BenQ GW2270H might just work out as a bit of a bargain – let’s see if it does…

Beats Solo 3 wireless headphones review: Bass solo

Beats has been pretty quiet of late, but with the launch of the new iPhone 7 and iOS 10 the company has released four new headphones – including an update to its popular Solo range.

The Solo 3 headphones come with Apple’s new W1 chip inside, promising greater battery, greater range, and greater connectivity options for iPhone users. They will work for other brands too.

We’ve been listening to see if the Beats Solo 3 revolutionise wireless listening or if these bass-heavy cans are out-performed by the competition.

If you’ve seen the Beats Solo range before then you’ll be instantly familiar with the Solo 3. The design hasn’t really changed since the last iteration – although there are a number of new colours to match the colours of the iPhones. Yes, you now can get a finish in rose gold.

Galaxy S7 vs Google Pixel Camera Review : Test the Best

Google Pixel XL’s camera battles Samsung’s Galaxy S7 in our first of several tests of the best. When the Galaxy S7 (and S7 Edge) first came out, they topped the quality charts for mobile cameras. Now several months old, the S7 family may need to make way for a new emperor of mobile photography in the Pixel.

Google Pixel XL features a Sony Exmor IMX378 image sensor. This means it’s picking up 1.55µm-sized pixels in 12.3-megapixel photos. This camera’s lens has a focal length of 4.67 mm and works with an f/2.0 aperture. Of note is the fact that the Google Pixel XL has the exact same camera setup as the non-XL Pixel. Both models should end up performing exactly the same.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 uses a Sony Exmor IMX260 image sensor. That is to say that our version of the Galaxy S7 has this image sensor – there are also Galaxy S7 units using ISOCELL. Today’s test is on the IMX-toting version of the Galaxy S7, most common in the USA.

Suzuki Ertiga GLX A/T 2016 Review

The market for family movers in the Philippines has always been a tough nut to crack. Minus going for the usual AUV offerings some discerning consumers still look for the comfortable characteristics of their beloved sedans. That expectation usually also includes higher ground clearance, more space for people and gear, and still get good fuel consumption – that’s where the modern MPV segment comes into play. Suzuki’s bet in this high stakes game is the Ertiga (which means Swift with three rows). We spent a good week with the 2016 GLX AT to see whether they’ve done enough to up the ante against its rivals.

Samyang 20mm f/1.8 ED AS UMC Review

Samyang 20mm F1,8 Front Oblique View

The stream of interesting and sometimes unusual manual focus optics continues with the arrival of the Samyang 20mm f/1.8 ED AS UMC lens. The lens is available in a wide variety of mounts, so let’s see how it performs with the Canon EOS 6D full frame DSLR used for this review.

Handling and Features

This is a full frame lens and also manual focus only. Having such a wide angle, the resulting depth of field makes manual focusing less easy, but provided wider apertures are used it is not too much of a problem. It does make adjusting the camera diopter setting on the viewfinder even more important than usual. The easiest technique is to focus at open aperture and then stop down for making the exposure. It is a matter of practice to be able to set an aperture by feel or counting click stops, without removing the camera from the eye.

Apple Car preview – UPDATE : Apple might not build its own car after all

Apple’s products are small enough fit in a pocket, on your wrist, in a bag, or at worst atop a desk. But the company’s next big thing may be truly massive indeed: it’s a car.

Well, reportedly. Apple car rumours have popped up here and there for years, and Steve Jobs even considered building one back when – but in early 2015, the rumours picked up incredible steam, with major publications reporting details on Apple’s supposed plans to create electric, and maybe eventually self-driving cars.

And the reports haven’t stopped coming, either, as we’ve written at least a dozen stories in the year or so since. Can Apple really be the next Tesla? They certainly have the ambition for it, not to mention the money to funnel into the extravagantly expensive development process.

The Samsung 960 Pro (2TB) SSD Review

A year ago, Samsung brought their PCIe SSD technology to the retail market in the form of the Samsung 950 Pro, an NVMe M.2 SSD with Samsung’s 3D V-NAND flash memory. The 950 Pro didn’t appear out of nowhere—Samsung had shipped two generations of M.2 PCIe SSDs to OEMs, but before the 950 Pro they hadn’t targeted consumers directly.

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Samsung 960 Pro (2TB) SSD

Now, the successor to the 950 Pro is about to hit the market. The Samsung 960 Pro is from one perspective just a generational refresh of the 950 Pro: the 32-layer V-NAND is replaced with 48-layer V-NAND that has twice the capacity per die, and the UBX SSD controller is replaced by its Polaris successor that debuted earlier this year in the SM961 and PM961 OEM SSDs.

ASUS ROG G701VI preview – GeForce GTX 1080, Full HD 120Hz display and unlocked Core i7-6820HK

Kết quả hình ảnh cho ASUS ROG G701VI preview – GeForce GTX 1080, Full HD 120Hz display and unlocked Core i7-6820HK

Since the market is now flooded with GTX 1060 and 1070-powered notebooks, it’s quite logical that the GTX 1080 gaming laptops will start appearing. Today we are starting with the small introduction of ASUS’ flagship ROG G701VI, which what it takes to run the latest games on full settings without compromise. It also adds some essential features that haven’t been seen on a laptop up until now.

The latest overclockable Skylake CPU and GeForce GTX 1080 in a fairly portable package

The notebook has all the firepower to drive the latest games at maximum settings without breaking a sweat. The CPU options are only two, but they are more than enough. The Core i7-6700HQ will be enough for most gamers but the Core i7-6820HK takes it up a notch for the enthusiast with unlocked multiplier for overclocking. The CPU is paired with up to 64GB of DDR4-2400 RAM using four slots and, of course, the graphically-intensive tasks are taken care by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 with 8GB of GDDR5X VRAM. So basically, the notebook will chew up and spit whatever you throw at it.

2017 Volvo V40 D4 Review : Inscription with Polestar Performance pack

There’s only one small Swedish car on the market, and the Volvo V40 hatchback is it. Now, for the 2017 model year, it has just been given some updates.

The Scandinavian brand’s compact five-door model has been around for a few years now, having launched back in 2013. It has seen some changes over the time it has been on sale in Australia – including the recent facelift including the “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlights – but the fact of the matter is that it has never garnered as high a proportion of sales as it potentially could have.

It accounts for about a fifth of the sales of the segment-leading Audi A3, though that car is admittedly available in both sedan and hatchback guises. Roughly 100 people buy a V40 each month, but that number could rise for those in the market for a sportier version of the Volvo hatch.

Noontec Zoro II Wireless review

You may not have heard of Noontec before, but the Australian audio company has been around since 2002. Over the past several years, Noontec wowed audio enthusiast with their affordable and stylish headphones, the most notable of which being the Zoro.

noontec-zoro-ii-07

Keeping up with the times, Noontec updated its latest Zoro II headphones with wireless functionality and dubbing them the Zoro II Wireless, which we’re taking a look at today.

If you know about (or better, own) Noontec’s headphones, the follow-up to the Zoro should look familiar – from the outside, the Zoro II Wireless are almost identical to the Zoro II HD wired headphones. In many ways they resemble a certain headphone brand owned by Apple, with its glossy black plastic construction and red accents. (Cough, Beats, cough.)

The left ear cup features a power button, power indicator, 3.5mm jack for wired use and a NFC area for quick pairing. The right ear cup features volume and playback controls and a microUSB charging port.

JABRA SPORT PULSE WIRELESS SPECIAL EDITION REVIEW

With Apple killing the headphone jack, wireless headphones are getting a lot of attention from everyone. Sports enthusiasts have been benefitting from wireless headphones for years though, and when it comes to pairing fitness and wireless music, Jabra’s wares are among the best.

Jabra’s Sports Pulse Wireless wowed us with their ability to incorporate an in-ear heart rate monitor for enhanced fitness feedback, but they left us a little flat when it came to sound quality and fit/security. With the latest version of the Sport Pulse Wireless, the new buds get a “Special Edition” moniker, hopefully shoring up those shortcoming for a truly top-notch fitness headphone. We broke a sweat more than a few times to see how special they truly are.
