Surface Book 3 13.5 review: Microsoft convertible is slowly getting old

Weak battery. With the latest edition of the Surface Book 3, Microsoft updates its multi-talent to Intel’s Ice Lake generation. We get a picture of the i7 variant with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 and clarify what performance users can expect from it in our review.

Only recently, the Microsoft Surface Book 3 15 showed in our review that a switch from the previous model Microsoft Surface Book 2 15 is not necessarily worth it. Now it is up to the smaller model to clarify whether owners of the smaller Surface Book 2 can wait even longer with a new purchase.

In our test configuration with an Intel Core i7-1065G7, 32 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q and 512 GB SSD, the Surface Book 3 13.5 costs around 2,650 euros (~$2,973). With this configuration, the Microsoft convertible not only has to be compared with its predecessor, but also with the test devices listed below.
