A possible 2020 Apple iMac refresh device has been discovered on Geekbench with some surprising components: An unknown Intel Core i9-10910 processor and an unannounced AMD Radeon Pro 5300 desktop GPU. There has been speculation before of an upcoming refreshed 27-inch iMac being configured with a fast Comet Lake Core i9 CPU.
Back in May there were reports of a potential Apple iMac refresh that would boast of featuring the powerful Intel Core i9-10900K as its CPU. A recently spotted Geekbench record shared by noted tipster _rogame has given some sort of validity to those reports, although the processor mentioned in the Geekbench listing is a novelty: the Intel Core i9-10910. Just as surprising is the presence of an AMD Radeon Pro 5300 GPU in this curious Apple computer.
Straightaway, there has been speculation that the Intel Core i9-10910, if recorded accurately on Geekbench, could be a special SKU produced solely for Apple. The benchmark entry states 10 cores and 20 threads with a base clock of 3.60 GHz, which puts this Comet Lake part way ahead of the already known i9-10900 in terms of base clock rate (3.6 GHz vs. 2.8 GHz).
