We’ve finally met the Apple Silicon M1 chip, the first of Apple’s desktop and laptop-grade systems-on-chip, which power the new Apple Silicon MacBook Air, Apple Silicon MacBook Pro and Apple Silicon Mac mini. 

This is how Apple begins the most significant changes to its computers in ages, with its own ARM-based processors that will replace Intel’s chips.
