Wild Mercedes-AMG GT R Black Series exposed

Lighter, faster, more powerful track-focused take on AMG GT created to square up to fight the Porsche 911 GT2

Images of a completely undisguised Mercedes-AMG GT R Black Series have surfaced on Instagram months before you’re supposed to see them.

The pictures, uploaded by Instagram user race365, give us our first glimpse of the flagship AMG GT R, although heavily camouflaged mules were spotted testing at the Nurburgring back in late March.

Following in the tyre tracks of the equally unhinged SLS Black Series, Mercedes-AMG’s latest creation features a complete rethink on the AMG GT R’s aerodynamics package.

In comes an even larger front grille, new splitter and an interesting C-shaped anti dive-plane that’s thought to reduce lift over the front axle.
