The Distinctive Regions of Thailand Offer Variety and Charm

Thailand is looking forward to the return of the holiday traveller. The government has reduced some of the restrictions and are asking tourists to come back. Although the pandemic has kept us from some of the things that we enjoy, Cooler heads prevail, and tourism is now something that we can look forward to again. If you have never been to Thailand, you have missed out, but there has never been a better time to see this lovely country without the crowds. Here’s a look at some of the things you can do when you are in Thailand.

  • Bangkok: The nation’s capital is a large modern city. It is a great place to see a mix of cultures and classes and experience some of the finest things that Thailand has to offer. Daytime attractions include ancient temples and the Royal Palace. And there is shopping, fabulous shopping, including great deals at street-side markets, and high-end luxury goods as well. You can even experience exotic sports car rental by Rich Cars and take advantage of the various accommodations, from budget-traveller hostels to 5-star luxury. But the most famous attraction in Bangkok is the food. A vibrant taste experience can be had in many places including the legendary street vendor fare.
  • Northern Thailand: Relaxing mountain retreats and cooler temperatures are part of the appeal of Northern Thailand. If you like resorts there are many in both of the two major cities, and spread throughout the region, near hot springs and tea plantations. The north looks into the past as hill tribe villages live life at a slower pace. Attractions include the White Temple, Golden Triangle, and the mountaintop temple, Doi Suthep. Don’t forget to bring your camera, northern Thailand is a great place to relax, shop, and see the sights.
  • Andaman Coast: If you are going to Thailand, it would be a mistake not to include the Andaman coast area in your travels. Many of the tropical postcard images you see of Thailand come from this area. There you can enjoy white sand beaches, snorkel, scuba diving, boating, and deep-sea fishing. Like most places in Thailand, there is also great shopping, golf, and exciting day trips and festivals to take advantage of. There are accommodations for every type of budget, the backpackers and the luxury traveler. This area is a favorite among celebrities.
  • Issan: The northeastern area of Thailand, known as Issan, is the largest geographical area of the country. It is part of the former Khmer empire which stretched across Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand. The Issan people are a distinctive culture that loves to have fun and eat foods that most people consider adventurous. It is one of the most authentic places on earth.

Thailand is famous for its friendly culture, fantastic food, shopping, and affordable fun. Because of the lovely weather, every day is an excellent day to explore and see new things. It is easy to travel from place to place in Thailand, making it possible to have many different experiences in one visit.
