Automakers are notorious for building expensive cars and slapping even more expensive price tags on them. It may appear to be a big gamble, but it pays off for dealers because the rich buy new cars like most people buy new shoes.

This isn’t true for everyone, however. For most consumers, buying a supercar is a dream. Just one glance at the window sticker is enough to snap most people back into reality before wandering off to find something more reasonable and less exotic.
