Fast plug-in hybrid Volkswagen T-Roc GTE on way

New high-performance T-Roc set to sit below R version and offer a pure-electric range of up to 65km

The Volkswagen T-Roc R could soon be joined by a fast but highly efficient plug-in GTE sibling, following VW’s hybrid boss has hinted a plug-in version is under consideration.

According to Auto Express, Volkswagen’s electrified powertrains boss, Dr Kai Philipp says the T-Roc GTE will be green lit for production if the car-maker deems there’s sufficient demand.
