Alfa dumps Giorgio platform

Italian brand to switch to electrified Stellantis Group architecture for all future models

Alfa Romeo has been forced to dump its multi-billion-euro Giorgio vehicle platform just months after joining PSA Peugeot Citroen in the Stellantis Group.

The architecture, developed at great expense on the orders of the late Fiat Chrysler Automobiles boss Sergio Marchionne, was slated for 15 models across the Italo-American group, but will end its run with just two.
