2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport Gives the SUV More Street Cred

This new version of the 4Runner has a TRD hood scoop and Toyota’s hydraulically linked adaptive dampers, rides on 20-inch wheels, and will be on sale by the end of the summer.

The 2022 Toyota 4Runner is adding a street-focused TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Sport model to its lineup, which has been available on the Tacoma mid-size pickup, but it’s not really all that sporty. It will be available by the end of the summer, but those who want more off-road-capable 4Runners can still select either the TRD Off Road or TRD Pro models.
