2021 Ford EcoSport Review

The Ford EcoSport is a subcompact crossover SUV that’s made in India. In this hypercompetitive category, the EcoSport struggles to compete with proven contenders such as the Honda HR-V and newcomers such as the Kia Seltos, the Hyundai Venue and the Mazda CX-30.

With 123 horsepower, the EcoSport’s 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine isn’t especially powerful or efficient. The optional 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, with 166 hp, is the better engine. It’s the exclusive power plant in all-wheel-drive versions of the 2021 Ford EcoSport. No matter the engine, the one available transmission is a 6-speed automatic.
