2020 MG Extender ute unveiled

While the new model may be MG’s first ute, it’s not the brand’s first commercial vehicle.

The MG Extender ute has been unveiled in Thailand, giving the brand it’s first rear-wheel drive vehicle since the demise of the TF roadster at the beginning of the decade.

If the Extender looks just a little familiar, that’s because it’s a badge-engineered version of the Maxus T70 ute, which in turn is a very close relation to the LDV T60 sold in Australia. Both the T70 and Extender feature SAIC’s newest turbo-diesel engine range.
