2017 Can-Am Maverick X3: First Test

Baja is our happy place. This is where we do a lot of our long term, high milage tests. You can explore more types of terrain in one day here that almost anywhere on the planet.

The most anticipated High Performance Sport UTV of the year was the 2017 Can-Am Maverick X3. You can read all the features information provided by Can-Am HERE and 15 things the Can-Am specs won’t tell you HERE. This is a test article about what it’s like to drive the Maverick X3.

 

It comes in three versions; the Maverick X3 X RS, the Maverick X3 X DS, the Maverick X base model and we drove them all over two days on some of our favorite trails in Baja. These are trails that we have driven hundreds of times before in all kinds of vehicles so not only did we get a very good idea of how well the Maverick X3’s work, we are getting a good feel for how they compare to other machines.
