THE GOOD

The 2015 Ford F-150 Platinum constantly delighted us with luxurious cabin amenities and driver-aid tech. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 feels as powerful as a small V-8 engine and is very quiet and smooth around town. The ride is composed and a 360-degree camera system helps negotiate tight quarters. Optional massage seats ease fatigue during longer hauls.

THE BAD

The lane departure prevention system was inconsistent in operation. The last-gen MyFord Touch infotainment is laggy and annoying. Tested fuel economy was significantly lower than EPA estimates.
