PS4 and Xbox One have been on our gaming shelves for almost six years now, and during that time they’ve introduced endless innovation, a bunch of stellar exclusives and yet another bitter chapter in the console war. Soon, they’ll bow out and introduce a new generation of consoles in the form of PS5 and Xbox 2.
Over the past few months, both Sony and Microsoft have begun teasing their new pieces of hardware in the form of specs, features and the fact they’ll be backwards compatible with entire libraries of games. If you own a console right now, chances are many of your games, peripherals and other things will carry over to the new platforms. For many, that’ll make the investment much easier.
