Philips Announce 804 and 854 OLED and 7304, 8804 LCD TVs for 2019

Lookout for ‘The One’

Philips have announced their 2019 TVs at a launch event at the Schiphol Airport Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam and AVForums were there to get the word straight from the horse’s mouth.

First announced were two new OLED models, the 804 and 854 followed by two new UHD LED LCDs, the 8804 and the 7304 – which will also be known as ‘The One’.

All the TVs announced are 4K and will feature both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision as part of Philips support for dynamic metadata HDR (High Dynamic Range). This approach puts Philips on an equal footing with Panasonic and their GZ2000, which was announced at CES 2019, certainly as far as dual format dynamic HDR support is concerned.
