Nintendo Switch has been a runaway success for the Japanese gaming giant, having sold of tens of millions of consoles and assembled a masterful library of games since bursting onto the scene three years ago. But a lack of power and features compared to the competition have left many hungry for a successor. 

Rumours and speculation ran rampant prior to the launch of Nintendo Switch Lite, which many hoped would be a more powerful and capable console. Aside from improved battery and an excellent form factor, it failed to deliver on that front.
