2016 Chevy Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition to offer 650 horsepower

Today Chevrolet announced the upcoming arrival of its 2016Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition, a limited edition rendition of its Corvette Racing C7.R racers. The car won’t be available until some time later on this year, and only 500 units will be made. When they do arrive, however, they’ll be offered in black and yellow livery with accents and interiors to match. Included with the models will be “a specially serialized” vehicle identification number, marking its limited-edition uniqueness, as well as the Z07 Performance Package.

Chevrolet announced the upcoming limited edition model on Friday, saying that it will pay homage to its aforementioned race cars. With the C7.R Edition will come a graphics package, 3LZ trim, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin PS Cup 2 tires, brake calipers painted yellow, a visual carbon fiber ground effects package, Spectra Gray Metallic vents and grilles, and a high-gloss carbon fiber interior trim package.
