- Bangkok: The nation’s capital is a large modern city. It is a great place to see a mix of cultures and classes and experience some of the finest things that Thailand has to offer. Daytime attractions include ancient temples and the Royal Palace. And there is shopping, fabulous shopping, including great deals at street-side markets, and high-end luxury goods as well. - Andaman Coast: If you are going to Thailand, it would be a mistake not to include the Andaman coast area in your travels. Many of the tropical postcard images you see of Thailand come from this area. There you can enjoy white sand beaches, snorkel, scuba diving, boating, and deep-sea fishing. Like most places in Thailand, there is also great shopping, golf, and exciting day trips and festivals to take advantage of. - Issan: The northeastern area of Thailand, known as Issan, is the largest geographical area of the country. It is part of the former Khmer empire which stretched across Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand. The Issan people are a distinctive culture that loves to have fun and eat foods that most people consider adventurous. It is one of the most authentic places on earth.
