As we can see from the specs, it is evident that the Samsung Galaxy Note8 comes with massive improvements over the Galaxy Note7 – hardware- and software-wise. Samsung’s Bixby AI also has been implemented in the Galaxy Note8 which further expands the functionality of the phablet.

When it comes to benchmarks, the Galaxy Note8 scored higher in AnTuTu at 174,579 while the Note7 is at 134,190. For 3DMark, the Galaxy Note8 got 2,587 while the Galaxy Note7 got 2,135.

As for the battery, the Note8 may have a smaller capacity but it could be attributed to the new safety standards Samsung has implemented on the device. Besides, the Exynos 8895’s 10nm FinFET process promises better battery management, so we have to take that into account.

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 was priced at Php39,990 at launch while the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is at Php49,990. Preorders will be available from September 8 until September 17 at Samsung concept stores, select authorized dealers, and online stores: Lazada, Abenson, and Argomall.
