Update: Global release date isn’t far away
The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is already on sale in China, but we could see a 15 July release date for the US and Europe.
Teasers and third party retailers are pointing to a shipping date of 15 July, which also coincides with invites to a Xiaomi event set for the same day.
Given Xiaomi has officially confirmed there will be a global release date in July 2020, we’re thinking this is a pretty safe bet.
The Mi Band 5 is priced at ¥229, which is around $30, but it’s listed on retailer sites for $41. There’s also a non-NFC Band 5 as well, which will cost ¥189 ($25).
