Misfit Phase Hands-on Review : A beautiful smartwatch in disguise

The first thing to note about the Misfit Phase is that there’s no giveaway. The buttons on the side might suggest there’s more to this than clockwork, but otherwise the Phase keeps its smarts very much behind the scenes. It’s a smartwatch, but you wouldn’t know it to look at it.

And no, it’s not the first hybrid we’ve seen, but the Phase doesn’t rely on complications or tiny screens to serve up notifications; instead everything is communicated through the positions of the hands. Watching them glide around the face of their own accord is strangely hypnotic, and this is how you’ll know if you’ve got a text, a phone call, an email – or you just want to see how many steps you’ve taken that day.
