Introduction

Wi-Fi has been such an integral part of all of our lives for so long now that it almost seems weird to be discussing its specifics. For most, it is just something that is there and works, no questions asked. This can be attributed, in no small part, to the way the new 802.11 standards have full backward compatibility. So no matter how old your Wi-Fi client or access point is, they can always agree and connect.

Now the same holds true for Wi-Fi 6, aka AX Wi-Fi. Don’t let the different name format confuse you, though.
