Fossil’s Gen 6 Smartwatch Arrives With New Chip, But No Wear OS 3

The newest smartwatch from Fossil promises to run longer and faster than ever before, but it’ll do so without the latest iteration of Google’s Wear OS.

On Monday, Fossil introduced its Gen 6 touch-screen smartwatches, an upgrade from 2019’s Gen 5 Model. The biggest change is the silicon inside: The Gen 6 runs Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor, a quad-core CPU with a 1.7GHz clock speed.
