Facebook tests a dedicated GIF button for sharing GIFs in Messenger

Facebook has been testing a dedicated GIF button which allows the users to find and send GIFs in two taps.

A dedicated GIF button will make sharing GIF much easier than the current setup, in which users are required to download and use a dedicated app in addition to Messenger just to share content.

According to the Techcrunch.com, the GIF button, which began appearing last week to some of Messenger’s 700 million monthly active users, skim a number of trending GIFs from Giphy and Riffsy, which are the two companies that produced dedicated apps for Messenger and help in sharing without the need to leave the Messenger app.
